Christmas Eve

It’s Christmas Eve. All my imaginary friends are here, which is strange because I don’t think any of them are christian. Naos was brought up Jewish and Hanukkah is starting tomorrow, but other then that it’s just my family and me.
Anyway, today I got up at about nine and spent most of the day just fiddling around. I went to church today. I just got back in a few minutes in fact. We are going to open our presents from each other, and I understand that my parents are giving us clothing. The Santa Claus presents are going to be tomorrow. Let’s hope he supplies the Dungeons and Dragons Books.
On another note, my little sister Sprite brought up the fraise "Zero is Hero. First is Worst,". I don’t like this frace because it makes me feel uncomfortable. It sounds like she is trying to be confrontational and I don’t like that. It is very mean.
Well, anyway she you tomorrow. Naos says Evenin’ Govnah

the 200th Post

Okay, There have been a lot of important events in the last few days. For one thing, my educational assistant who will be called Nanny Ogg after the Discworld character came to visit me awhile back. She is sick and is being replaced by two other women, one for communications technology and another one for math. I really miss Nanny Ogg, because she brings a sort of order to my life at school. These new lady’s are nice, but they aren’t as tough as Nanny Ogg and don’t have her experience at dealing with me, which is really hard. They don’t pair her nearly enough. She should be getting like sixty-thousand dollars or something. I miss her.
Technically the last day of school is tomorrow, but they are just throwing some big hockey and assembly thing and I don’t really care for that. So I stayed home. For the first bit I went to the Library, got some movies (Seven Samurai, seasons three and four of Blackadder and a thing on the Lost Tribes of Israel), I also got some interesting books to read over my vacation. For the most part I’ve just screwed around on the Internet all afternoon and complained to no one in particular about a cold hand.
This is the 200th post I have made on my blog and in a few days I will be reaching my first full year of blogging. It will be a joyous occasion indeed. I have also failed three other independent blogs, including the RPG one that is still up because Ruric (under the identity of Korzio) commented once and I havn’t heard from him since. I may use it to catelog campaigns, such as the one that my group is going to do in January, if things are alright with everyone.

What you missed

Okay, I’ve been feeling pretty bad over the last few days. Emotionally, that is. I blame my stupid Samurai Essay, which is finally done...
(Villagers come out and dance around a maypole, "Safety Dance," by Men Without Hats starts playing and the Heavens open up to reveal a choir of angels opening up to "You Can’t Always Get What You Want," by the Rolling Stones)
...Yeah, that’s how I feel.
Anyway, before I felt all nice I was in a great deal of stress with this essay. I talked it over with my parents and it eventually lead to how I don’t like the position my life is in right know. My dad said that I shouldn’t worry about it and that I don’t need to know what my life will actually be until a few more years. Naturally, I told him I was going to be a writer. Dad replied to this by saying that I should do something else because writing is something that doesn’t pay well or something. Then he said that I should do it because I enjoy writing.
See, I’m not sure that I enjoy writing. I guess on some level I do, maily the bit were I get it done and I don’t have to worry about it anymore. I really need to think about this more.
Anyway, yesterday I went to my Dad’s family Christmas Dinner. I got Napoleon Dynamite and Gattaca on DVD. That’s all.

Celebreties and Religion

Yesterday, because there was nothing else interesting on, I watched a thing about celebrities and the religions they follow. It was really one of those things that you watch and think, oh my God I can’t believe I am watching this. Anyway, seeing this program I saw a lot of things that I felt were wrong in the spiritual sense.
First, I learnt about something called Kabbalah water. It’s basically water that has been blessed by Kabbalic Rabbi’s. Which is okay, but what really unnerves me is that it is two-thousand dollars. I really don’t think that’s a good idea for the Jewish religion to be attached to something like that. I mean it’s the jews for God’s sake. They have a stereotype for this kind of thing. They should be steering away from this kind of stuff.
Second, I learned that Christina Agulera went on a "pilgrimage" to India. I’m okay with pilgrimages to India, I plan on doing it myself some day, I just don’t think what Ms. Agulera did counts as a pilgrimage counted because she stayed at a five star hotel with a personal valet and visited the various temples during the day. The chances of Christina Agulera reading my blog are slim to nil, but by some amazing chance that she is reading this THAT IS NOT A PILGRIMAGE, THAT IS TOURISM. A REAL PILGRIMAGE INVOLVES STAYING IN MONASTERIES OVERNIGHT WITHOUT ANY SERVANTS OR ANYTHING. If you know Christina Agulera, please pass my message on.
Thirdly, Jesus head medallions. See, I don’t think Jesus would be into medallions in the shape of his head made out of solid gold, diamonds and rubies and shit like that. He wasn’t that in the riches and stuff and I just don’t think it’s right to have Jesus head medallions. Can’t rappers settle with a normal crucifix like everyone else? I don’t even think these guys are Christian as much as they wear crosses incrusted with diamonds. I don’t wear a cross, but if I did it wouldn’t be that prominent. Sure I’d wear it outside, but you wouldn’t be able to see it from across the street. If I wanted that I would wear a Jesus is my homey T-shirt.
Okay, that’s it. I also learned what Scientology is. It’s basically gnostism in space.

Live from CommTech, it's frustrated ranting

I HATE PEOPLE TODAY!!!!!!!
Except for Steph, I found out she commented on a post and I like it when she makes comments. But people in general are stressing me out. I’m not having a praticularly good day. I couldn’t concentrate in Latin class, I kept looking out the window and there isn’t really anything interesting out there.
Anyways, I am writing this in my communications technology class, and I am very angry indeed. Nor for any particular reason as much as I am having an emotionally turbulent day. I just feel grumpy and ornery. Latter I’ll probably get some pictures for a website I’m working on for Communications Technology. It’s nothing important as much as a way of putting together all the stuff we’ve done.
I’m going to go know and see if I can get the stupid webpage done.

The First Draft and Dracula

Because I don’t feel I blog enough, I shall blog today.
I handed in the first draft of the Samurai essay in history class today. I still need to add some stuff to it, notably filler for a few more pages, notably on The history of the Samurai and their effect on the modern world. It’s due pretty soon, but I think if I really buckle down I can finish it.
In other news, I am reading Bram Stocker’s Dracula. I got it at the public library and it is a very interesting read so far, even though I have barely read one chapter.
That’s it. I have to do the dishes now. I’ll come up with something important later.

Things that are going on

It has been a long day. I have spent most of it writing the first draft for my Samurai essay in history class. It was very exhausting, but I plan on working on a new short story sometime later today. It’s all a matter of coming up with a new idea. A really good one comes to mind and I plan on getting to work on it soon.
A major event in the outside world is the Chronicles of Narnia movie coming out. As a child I was very found of the Narnia series and it was one of the original blue prints of Mythania, my fantasy world, but thru several revisions it has adapted a less traditional fantasy universe and the only remaining Narnia-like creatures are the tawaze, which are basically giant mice.
So, Christmas is coming. I like presents, I’m pretty excited. Considering that Christmas is supposed to be a religious holiday I should probably look on it with a more religious outlook. But I’m not all that religious. I also like the fact that I don’t have to go to school, because it is getting rather annoying recently.

It's been awhile since I (da da da da da) found time to blog again

Well, the biggest thing to happen was my friend Loncrow came over for the weekend. He brought the new Soulcaliber 3 game. We got to make our own characters and I used characters I made up such as Ar’ado Mahmoud and Callager. You probably don’t know them, but they will be in my works somewhere. Probably a series of comic books (whoops, graphic novels) that I plan on working on. You can expect Jesus, Emperor Norton the 1st and a parody of Cerebus the Aardvark and his creator Dan Sims. That is if he’s okay with it, and if I actually talk to him about it. Considering he lives on his own in isolation I doubt it.
Anyway, I have a new book that I used the last of my birthday money on. It is the first volume of the Bone series by Jeff Smith. It is a graphic novel about these three guys named Fone Bone(the every man hero), Phoney Bone (an ex-millionaire who schemes his way thru most of the series) and Smily Bone (a less-intelligent version of Groucho Marx). They are all chased out of their home in Boneville because of an unsuccessful campaign by Phoney and find themselves outside of charted territory and in a mysterious valley. They are quickly brought into an epic battle between good and evil. It is one of the best books I have ever read. I rank the series with Hyperion, Otherland and the Dark Elf Trilogy as books that I really loved.
Okay, can’t think of anything else. End blog post.
Thought: Is there any official name for blog posts?

STREAM OF THOUGHT!!!!! THOUGHT OF STREAM!!!!! STREAM OF THOUGHT!!!!! THOUGHT OF STREAM!!!!!

Well, the most recent event that comes to mind is today in math class. Some kid who will go by the name Shaka for reasons that will soon become clear to you said he was a Zulu. For those of you that don’t know, Zulu’s are a tribe in South Africa known for there warrior culture. I don’t believe he is a Zulu, mainly because he is white, and he doesn’t have a South African accent. I didn’t bother him about it, because you don’t disagree with someone who is delusional. I should know, I am delusional.
On the subject of putting people in the categories of black and white and Chinese and all that, I think we should get rid of it. I also think we should stop calling people African-American and Japanese-American and native-American. African-Americans can keep that if they like, but they aren’t really African since they weren’t born there, but they can still call themselves that if they want to. I think we should just call everybody humans or people.
On the subject of the word Native-American, I think we should just call them by their respective tribes, since America is not really an idea created by the Aztecs, Navaho (sorry if I’m not spelling that right), Sioux or Cree, as much as a European concept. I’ve never actually met a member of the various tribes of the original inhabitants of North America, at least not to my knowledge, so I’m probably not an expert on this, but this is just what I think.
I don’t remember if I told you about this in the last post, but I’m going to do it anyway. Last weekend, I got two new books at the Chapters in a near-bye major city. I got Anansi Boys, by Neil Gaiman. Anansi Boys is a good book, and is not as dark as some of Neil Gaiman’s other works. I’m starting to wonder if I’m not just reading his book because I just here he’s really good. I really liked Neverwhere though, that’s a good sign. The other book was about the Chronicles of Narnia. I have another book that is basically the same format as this one about Lord of the Rings. It had a back article that talked about some of the controversy of the Chronicles of Narnia. Apparently C.S. Lewis had racist tendencies. In one of his books he used a racial slur (one of the Narnia books, don’t know which one) and he agreed with his brother that he didn’t agree that the Chinese were actually human. This is just crazy and somewhat disillusioning. First H.G. Wells, now C.S. Lewis. Anyway, it’s a good thing he’s dead know, because if we met we would probably end up being pried apart by the other writers over my portrayal of Jesus in one of my comic books, or Naos or something. Probably be pretty funny though, after we all had sometime to cool off. I don’t think C.S. Lewis was a violent man, but we would probably end up yelling at each other at the most.
Anyway, this has been my thought process. On another note, I would like to know how Steph underlined her post. I don’t seem to have that command.

I may have SAD

I’ve been feeling depressed (not at the moment mind you, just in general). Because of that I went to see the help office, and the lady there said that I may have SAD (seasonal affection disorder), which means I get all down during the winter because there isn’t enough sun. She said I should get more sun and eat Chocolate. I believe that this will be a good idea, especially the chocolate.
On another note, while doing Latin in the library when the fire drill went. I quickly picked up my book and writing material like I always do, and went outside. Then a fire truck came up and firefighters went inside. It was kind of interesting, I was glad that I hade my books with me, so they wouldn’t burn. It turned out to be a false alarm and we went back to normal. I was hoping we could go home.
That’s all folks.

FAN MOVIES!

Good day for a post. I’m listening to an archived copy of Little Steven’s Underground Garage. It’s a great radio program with all this killer music from the sixties and Garage Rock (which is anything Little Steven says it is, in case you were wondering) You got to check this out. Go to you won’t be sorry.
Well, I have spoken of 8 bit theatre. It is a Final Fantasy parody, well the creator of the series Brian Clevinger made attempts of putting it into Flash Cartoon format, but by the time he gets the series done Final Fantasy XXXXXXVI will be out, so me and some guys at school thought that it would be a good idea to make a film version of the 8 bit theatre. I’m pretty sure it’s legal if we don’t try to make a profit out of it. I have called dibs on Red Mage, because Red Mage rocks, and I get cool lines such as "Give me an hour and I’ll be able to sail this ship into ORBIT!!" Also, when acting I have a tendency to smile, and Red Mage has a high neck-collar or something that covers his mouth.
My little sister is driving me crazy. She’s trying to get onto the computer, but I’m not quite finished. She also has some friends over, and that always makes her super hyper.
Well, that’s all for now. I may write some more stuff later. Who knows?

Pros of humanity and Laying the foundations for a D&D group

It has been an emotional roller-coaster ride, so things are pretty much normal.
I talked to my dad about my occasional concentrations of anger brought on by human stupidity. He says that I should concentrate on the positives of humanity and not the negatives. To be honest it sounded a little corny when he said it, but I still took it kind of serious. This is a list of the positives of humanity.
  • Humanity has produced several pacifists, such as Gandhi, Jesus, Martin Luther King Jr and the current Dalia Lama. This is a goo thing.
  • I’m human, so if my species produced me they can’t be all bad. Yes, I know how arrogant this sounds.
  • Humans have created everything in life I enjoy such as Science-Fiction Books, Dungeons and Dragons, Stargate SG-1, Farscape and Art. All these things could not exist without humanity.

Okay, I have come to a conclusion. I like humans, I just don’t like them bugging me.
In other news, I am creating a new Dungeons and Dragons group. So far I have recruited the two guys who showed me the pirate quiz. (I’m sorry it didn’t work out that well, go to and take it there). I see two major obstacles. First, I need to make a map, Second, my little sister will want to play (Sprite) and it will be kind of embarrassing having my little sister around. She’s really going to want to play, and when she won’t she’ll cry and it will be all awkward.
Anyway, that has been my life so far. Sorry I havn’t made any comments.

I've got a kick-ass new nickname

Again, I’m sorry that I haven’t blogged in the last few days. This is probably bothering me the most. I wonder why? Ah well. Here’s what’s happening.
The highpoint of today is that I have a rock’in cool nickname. It is Mad Dog Flint. I acquired it on an Internet quiz I took when I should have been researching Samurai. You can take the quiz by clicking onto this link.
Okay, that’s about it. I’m going to my cousin’s house because my parents are going to a Daniel Lanois concert. I guess I’m okay with it. I’m bringing a lot of reading material and will be off on my own for a bit of it however.

Quit Asking Me Questions

I am linking to my cousin Willy’s blog. Willy is not his real name. He’s autistic like me, and his focus interest is The Simpsons. That will help you understand some of the references.
To go to Willy’s blog, Quit Asking Me Questions, click the name or use links.
P.S. I CALL DIBS ON COMIC BOOK GUY!

I'm sorry. I know I should have blogged sooner. I have choclates.

Well, it is today, so I will start with what happened to me today. I got Latin and Math homework, I figure I can do them both with great ease. What’s really bugging me is this crick in my neck.
My birthday was pretty good. I got a Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting that is sitting not so far away from me. I also got the Map Folio for Dungeons and Dragons and fifty dollars I used to by Stream of Silver and The Halfling’s Gem, by R.A. Salvatore and Ilium and Olympos by Dan Simmons. Ilium and Olympus are both hard covers, but I got them for cheep. I also got a gift certificate for Chapters. For all you Americans out there, Chapters is Canada’s equivalent to Barnes and Noble.
Remembrance Day was a while ago. I don’t like Remembrance Day. I haven’t ever liked it since I was a kid. It just seemed to depressing then. Now, I just don’t like the entire concept. To start with, I am against nationalism, since it isn’t doing anything good for humanity, and Remembrance Day is a way of celebrating nationalism by saying how great it is to have freedom. I’m not saying that freedom is good, but I am also asking do we know what freedom is. What is freedom really anyway? I’ll do an excruciatingly long blog entry on it some time. That and I hate the entire concept of war, there is no real reason to it, and it is always going on. While I prefer chaos, war goes onto an entirely new level of chaos. War is legalized lawlessness. People are killed it wars. Do the self-appointed gods of the nations realize this. I’m going into beatnik mode, sorry. I just don’t like this. I had to go home after Lunch because I was so unhappy.
Whoa. That’s it.

ONE MORE DAY, ONE MORE DAY, ONE MORE DAY (happy noice)

I’m really excited about my upcoming birthday, mainly because of the presents. Yes, I know that is greedy but that’s how I am when Christmas or my birthday comes around. I’m just excited about getting gifts.
Or money to get gifts with. My father’s parents came over last night. We had a really good meal with pork and mashed potatoes and corn and gravy. Just like Thanksgiving or Christmas. I love dinner on Thanksgiving and Christmas because we crack out the turkey and my personal favourite, stuffing. We didn’t have stuffing but it was still good. I also got a funny greeting card that had Snoopy and Woodstock in front of a computer that said "We would have gotten you an e-mail but we didn’t know were to put the stamp." For a gift I got a 50 dollar bill because it’s harder and harder to find a gift for me.
Okay, hmm. What else is happening. I’ve had to deal with human stupidity for most of the day. People have just been getting on my nerves. We were listening to the radio in Math class and a U2 song came up, Sunday Bloody Sunday, and I said "That’s a U2 song," because I do that. Then this guy said that it was Green Day. I don’t have anything against Green Day myself. I love their newest album American Idiot, but I knew that it was U2, and I told him that he was wrong and the band was U2. He continued to insist that it was Green Day, despite the fact that it didn’t sound like Green Day in anyway. Well, the proverbial straw broke the camel’s back and I insulted humanity’s intelligence level. I know that humans are not really as stupid as I usually say they are, but they can be down right frustrating. Was it not Doctor Who who said "A blue box appears in the middle of town and what do humans do? They ignore it." Or something like that.
Anyway, it’s good to finally be home. Plan on relaxing for the rest of the day. At least once I’m done my math homework.

3 more days (also 2 days of a sore throat and more links)

Alright, I’m sorry I didn’t make any posts recently. I don’t have a good excuse.
So for the past two days I’ve been at home with a sore throat. It’s not that bad. I got some reading done. Did some notes on my D&D setting, waited in giddy anticipation for my upcoming birthday. Stuff like that. I figured I shod have worked more on my short stories, but I just can’t get myself to do it. I guess I’ll do some of it tonight.
I plan on calling Loncrow to see if he can come over this weekend. That’s all about that.
Okay, I promised some new links and I will give them to you now.
First, this is a link to my favourite radio station. It is classic rock and you can listen to it live from the Internet so you can listen to it too. It is called 103.9 THE HAWK.
My Second Link is to the webblog of the greatest writer in the fantasy of our time, Neil Gaiman. Im just a big Neil Gaiman fan so I’m putting this on.
Thirdly, I would like to link to 8 bit theatre, which is a very good webcartoon. I read it everyday even though it doesn’t come out daily. If you don’t already know it, it is basically a parody of Final Fantasy. (My grandpa is reading this right now and is scratching his head saying "Wha?") It’s pretty good check it out. But start at the beginning.

That’s it.
FIGHT THE PAX!!!

Six more days and more babbaling on my writing career

Sorry that it’s been so long. I’ve tried to get around to making a new post, but I couldn’t seem to find the time.
First, It will be my birthday in a few days. Six if you want a definite number. I’m really excited. I was hoping for an Ipod, but my parents say that it is to out of our price range, so I just asked for a new CD walkman for my upcoming trip to Italy and Greece, as well as some new CDs. I also asked for the new Neil Gaiman (Anansi Boys) and the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting for Dungeons and Dragons. Let’s tally up the price of all this.

FORGOTTEN REALMS CAMPAIGN SETTING: $50.95
ANANSI BOYS, BY NEIL GAIMAN: $36.95
NEW CD WALKMAN: $24.99
JOYFUL REBELLION BY K-OS (CD): $22.99
EXIT, BY K-OS (CD): $18.99
TOMMY, BY THE WHO (CD): $17.99
DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS MAP FOLIO 1: $14.95
STREAMS OF SILVER, BY R.A. SALVATORE: $10.99
THE HALFLING’S GEM, BY R.A. SALVATORE: $10.99
STONE OF FAREWELL, BY TAD WILLIAMS: $9.99
NEW SEASON OF STARGATE SG-1 STARTING ON MY BIRTHDAY: PRICELESS
FACT MY BIRTHDAY CORRESPONDS WITH NEIL GAIMAN’S, WHO IS MY FAVORITE WRITER: ALSO PRICELESS
TOTAL PRICE: $219.78
This is presuming that they get me all the stuff I want on this list, which I doubt.
In other news related to my writing. It goes on at a snail’s pace. I have two short stories on the go and I haven’t been putting much effort into either of them. While I have come up with some good ideas for short stories I don’t have the drive to do write them, or finish what I’m writing. Creativity isn’t an issue for me, I can come up with all kinds of worlds. An alternate history were Alexander the Great’s Empire stayed in power, A Fantasy setting based on Africa inhabited by a cursed warrior-mage who can only come out at night and is running a personal vendetta against a corrupt trade-empire, the life and times of a changeling child brought up among humans who has survived to the present day and his encounters with historical figures such as St. Patrick, William Wallace, Marco Polo, Saladin, Shakespeare, Queen Elizabeth the 1st, The founding fathers of America, Emperor Norton the 1st, Robert A. Heinlein and Albert Einstein. A superhero with a combination of Aspergers Syndrome, Telekenis and a really messed up childhood at a residential boarding school that makes him the most powerful and feared being in the western hemisphere. I have come up with this, granted the Alexander thing might have been a little obvious, but I’d like to see what would have happened if Alexander the Great concurred the entire world.Even so, I am a storehouse of ideas. I just lack the drive. Wait, no simply writing about my ideas makes me want to put them down and see them in print. Hm, guess I do have drive.
I have decided that if I’m going into Graphic Novelization, I want to draw the pictures for them. I have clear ideas of what I want them to look like and I don’t want people making pictures of them that aren’t right. I do like drawing the stuff that I read in a comic book, so it could be fun. My school library has a few graphic novels and I’ve been looking at the pictures. I really like the guy who dose the art for Sandman and Swamp Thing.
I have also trying out poetry. I think it has something to do with reading Hyperion and Fall of Hyperion, since John Keats is a major character. This gave me the idea on getting a book with some of Keat’s poetry and I thought "Hey, why don’t I right some of this," I haven’t written anything yet, but I may still get around to doing it.
Well, that about wraps it up. Have a great weekend.

Wish you were here

Sorry, I haven’t blogged recently. It’s been a crazy past few days.
First, and what will be the only subject on this blog. My great-uncle died a few days ago. We are going to the funeral today, so I get today of. I guess that is okay if this wasn’t going to be such a sad day.
This is bringing up all kinds of emotions for me. Manly bad ones that I haven’t felt before. It’s like all of a sudden a part of my soul just disappeared and I don’t know how. It is very confusing and sad. I barely even knew the guy, but I feel sad because my mom knew him and my grandparents knew him, and it makes them sad. And I don’t like it when people close to me feel sad. It makes me feel very sad.
The following is a song by Pink Floyd. I don’t know if my great-uncle liked Pink Floyd, but I snag it to myself when I was alone in my room. I started crying when I did it. It’s called Wish you were here, and is on the album of the same name. I recommend you listen to it. It is a good album.
So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell,
blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?
And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change?
And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?
How I wish, how I wish you were here.
We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
What have you found?
The same old fears.
Wish you were here.
Looking at it, it doesn’t have much to do with the situation, except that we wish he was here.

Monday off, How I Hate the Spartans and Returned Access to the Library

On Monday, my stomach wasn’t feeling that good. I stayed home because of it, even after Lunch when it was feeling better. It was a pretty good time. I watched Fistful of Dollars, starring Clint Eastwood. It was a good movie. I also found a Library card that I had previously lost. I didn’t go because my mom said that it wasn’t fair since I didn’t go to school.
The next day I went to the Library. I returned most of the books I had out and got two new ones. One is the Ringworld Engineers, by Larry Niven and the other is a collection of short stories by Robert E. Howard. I Like the Ringworld Engineers, but I haven’t got into the Robert E. Howard book. In case your wondering, Robert E. Howard is the guy who came up with Conan the Barbarian. Since it is in more or less the style of R.A. Salvatore’s Drizzt Saga, I figured I would give it a try, but I understand that the character of Conan is more dark then Drizzt.
I’m thinking about trying to come up with my own sword and sorcery stories. I’m working on a Dungeons and Dragons campaign setting that could work as that. I may have talked about this in an earlier post. I may also try and get something about Nai’Atha to whoever is in charge of Forgotten Realms books at Wizards of the Coast. Nai’Atha is a character I play in Dungeons and Dragons, but I use him exclusively in Forgotten Realms. Alright, I have only played in the Forgotten Realms, but I plan on keeping it like that. I think I could make it a five-book series. The Nai’Atha Epic, I could call it. I don’t know if it would happen, because I plan and hope Nai’Atha as being a sort of rouge element in the political landscape of Forgotten Realms.
Anyway, today I learned about the Spartans in history class. The Spartans were a Greek city-state that were famous for there militaristic life-style. I don’t like the Spartans because they had complete control over the people for the survival of their nation with no regard for the individual’s development as a person. They are a good example with my beliefs of nationalism. If I haven’t already told you about my feelings of nationalism, I will explain them now.
I believe that Nationalism is bad because it has leaders, and while some leaders are okay people I give Elizabeth the First and Woodrow Wilson as examples, they can also be really screwed up people who desire military conquest at the expense (and lives) of there citizens. This is pointless because nations are not real things as much as abstract concepts that serve no real purpose. To me, the ideal society is where all people get along because religious, racial and political differences are not an issue, because they do not exist. I will go into further detail in my next post.

School, Lost Wallets, People Overload and A Hard To Find Movie

It was my Mom who made the mysterious blog. She wanted her own and I’m going to get her a new one so she doesn’t have to use mine.
On a sadder note I have lost my Library Card. I figure that I’ll have to bring all the books back, which is a shame because I got an essay that could have helped me with my Samurai essay.
In Comm Tech, we are making a commercial and I hate it. I believe that it can all be brought back to my partners in this project, who I sincerely believe are incompetent. First we couldn’t come up with an idea that wasn’t sexist (the product is high heal shoes). The teacher said that we couldn’t and I said I would think up one. Well, I wasn’t having that good of a day, so I cracked up and went home. The next day they came up with an idea, but I believe it lacks imagination. I have an idea that I believe will get a great mark, but I also know that those homophobes won’t take it because it would involve one of us wearing high heal shoes. (The idea being there so comftorble even men are wearing them)
I would like to say that I don’t know if these people are homophobes, but I’m just real angry.
It’s been a hell of a time this weekend. I’m surrounded by people, family but never the less people. Yesterday there was a family reunion on my mother’s side of the family. The food was great, but I spent most of the time around people. I was okay with it near the end, and there isn’t going to be as many people. It’s probably not going to be that bad.
I am also looking for the movie Mirrormask. The screenplay for Mirrormask was written by Neil Gaiman, who is one of my favourite writers. Steph, I wouldn’t be surprised if you already know about him, but if you don’t I recommend it. I suggest starting out with Neverwhere and Stardust to start, because it’s not as messed up as some of his other works. If you want to go straight in I suggest American Gods and the Sandman series. Sandman is a series of graphic novels. Anyway, no movie store in town is renting out copies. I’m a little ticked of by this.
Besides discovering Internet science fiction radio and then discovering I need membership or something to listean to it know, I have nothing else to say.

Samarai and Strange Happenings

Oddest thing happened while I was getting ready to make a post on Aspie Diaries. I was on the dashboard thing, right, and I saw these blogs that I didn’t make there called After All These Years. I deleted it and changed my password. I’m a little scared that this was able to come up without my knowledge.
Well, I’m working on an essay in history. I was given the option to choose any subject I wanted so I choose Samauri because I wanted to learn more about Samauri. I was the only person in history class since everyone else was at an archeological dig. I didn’t feel like going so I stayed at school and read about Bushido. Hm, that’s a good sentence. I should remember it.
I also went to the Public Library on the Weekend. I got some books that I hope will help me learn to write good science fiction.
Well, I haven’t got much more information then that.

Heimingway, Free Internet Radio and other things

My writing is bothering me. It’s not that I hate doing it, I just that writing seems to be the only real job that I want and I am capable of doing. I can see myself working as an artist, I am a bit of a sketch artist and I do draw a lot of my creations and such, but in the end I wouldn’t be able to not write. Even writing this makes me want to write more. I mean fiction.
The problem I have is that I don’t think I’m that good. I mean I’m pretty good at coming up with new and fantastic worlds and that is pretty important when you’re a science fiction and fantasy writer, but I don’t think I have the right knowledge to actually write it. My dad says that I should read some non-science fiction works. So I got a copy of The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemingway and a collection of his short stories. I also got Ray Bradbury’s Zen and the Art of Writing and a list of classic novels to read. I’m hoping that reading all this will give me a better understanding of writing.
Also, I have learned that I really don’t like the term Science Fiction, something about it just doesn’t appeal to me, so know on I will call it Scientific Romance as H.G. Welles did before me.
Well, now to talk about what happened at school today.
In Latin, I hade some bread with olive oil on it. I also learned that there is something of a cult following of Grumio in the world of Latin academia. Grumio is a slave to Caecilius in the first unit of Latin and he is popular among my Latin class. One of my classmates believes that Grumio has managed to survive to the present day. Unlikely since Grumio never existed.
In Communications Technology, we watched an episode of the Apprentice, a program that I have never watched until today. The people on the Apprentice were assigned to create an add campaign for a Laborgini, which is a fancy form of car. Our teacher did this because we are going to do an add campaign for high heal shoes. I’m okay with this, because while I am against the corporation this doesn’t affect my beliefs much. I’m a little unsure about our project manager’s competence however.
For Lunch, I had a peanut butter and honey sandwich and to much trifle.
Math went by without me falling asleep for too long. I have some homework to do. I think I’ll get around to it after dinner.
In History we watched more of Troy. I saw Troy in the theatres and didn’t like it that much. It wasn’t as faithful to the original to the best of my knowledge. I’m not an expert on it or even know that much about the story, but I have a ruff outline of the story.
When I got home I went searching for a new source of free Internet radio, since I have finally lost my useless yahoo account. I have found a new source of toons on the Internet and will see how this works for me.

Have I made a post recently? It doesn’t feel like it. Anyway, this is what I’ve been up to.
First, I’m thinking about deleting the RPG blog and putting any RPG related stuff on Aspie Diaries. I try making new blogs to much. I’m going to work completely on this blog.
Second, I went to the Library and got some books. One of them is a collection of poems by John Keats. I only got it because John Keats is a character in Dan Simmons’ Hyperion and I figured it might be interesting. I wouldn’t even have bothered getting it if I hadn’t read Hyperion. I wonder if that means anything.
Third, I have the start of a new Dungeons and Dragons group. To Loncrow and Korzio/Ruric if you guys are reading this, I will be stepping out of the Guan Tylgrym campaign. It will be difficult continuing it considering that we are all in different cities, but if we ever get a chance I would like to start another campaign. I’ll update you on the new group as soon as we start a campaign.
Fourthly, I’m going on a Youth progressive dinner at. The Church I’m in has this whole youth thing were they concentrate on teaching kids about Christianity and stuff in a way that’s not boring and they throw these big things. I’m looking forward to asking the new pastor things at "Ask Frank anything,". His name is not Frank, but I don’t want to give away his identity. But that’s not what I’m doing today. Today I will be going the homes of several people from Church and have a sort dinner. I’ll have an appetiser at one house, the full course at another house, and desert at my house. The dessert will be followed by a movie.
That’s what I’m up to. Bye.

My theory about making freinds

As an Aspie, I have difficulties around people. To me social interaction is a completely alien concept. I spend my life on the outside of human civilization looking in. Temple Grandin (I hope I’m spelling this right) defines this as one of the key factors to the Aspie mind, we are observers of the human condition. However, we can have theories. That is what this post is about, my theories on a social interaction. This is how I believe making friends works. Please give feed back.
The way I see it there is two ways of making friends. First, you find someone and find a common ground. This happened with my friend Loncrow and more recently with some kids in my Latin class who play Dungeons and Dragons. The second way is that you meet someone who is friends with a friend you already have. That is what happened with me and Ruric.
That’s it, and happy Thanksgiving for anyone in Canada.

War? What War?

I don’t watch the news, but I occasionally hear about what’s going on around the world by chance, and one thing that has been bothering me is that I am not hearing anything about the war in Iraq. I asked my mom about this, because she is addicted to the news, and she said that she hasn’t heard anything either.
This is a bit of a problem. I’m against the war in Iraq, I’m against war in general, but the least that the American people could do is to talk about the pointless war that’s going on to supply the Galactic Empire with the vital Spice that must flow (That was an allusion to Frank Herbert’s Dune series, Spice is the miracle substance that the Empire runs on in the series. I mean oil). Didn’t they show Vietnam on CNN or something? Vietnam was about as pointless as Iraq, didn’t they pay more attention then this. I understand with all the hurricanes and everything the American people are a little distracted, but think of the Veterans, man. I’ll bet there a little pissed about the complete lack of coverage for the war. I am as sorry as I can be for the people who’s lives have been screwed up by the Hurricanes, but I still think that if your going to have a pointless war you should at least give the poor boys over there some more TV time so we can all see how pointless this is.

The Three-Day Weekend

Okay, this is what happened to me during my weekend.
To start with, it was (or is, I don’t know for sure) a three-day weekend, so I got Friday of. Because it was a three-day weekend, I invited by friend Loncrow over. I have talked about Loncrow in earlier posts. We played on his Playstation 2 and watched Chronicles of Riddick and Van Helsing. I have seen Van Helsing before, and I would say that it is a good movie. I loved Chronicles of Riddick, because it seemed like a good science fiction universe. He also showed me a new RPG called Achaea. It’s interesting but I’m having some difficulty getting the hang of it.
After Loncrow left I spent the rest of the day being more or less bored. I got a new book at the mall and pointed out some books to my mom that I liked. I also had some Pizza at some relatives house.
Today, I did something I haven’t done in awhile. I went to church. To tell you the truth it wasn’t that thrilling. For the most part I tried to make myself comftorble in the chairs. I don’t know if I will come back as often.

The Record Show and Debunking Qua..er, I Mean People Who Have Diffrent Opinions About The Construction of the Pyramids then myself. (still think their

...heave ho theory is crazy)
Whoa, I ran out of room for a title. Anyway, there is a lot to file in now.
First, I went to a record show with my dad. It was very good and I got five new CD’s, most of them at five dollars. The following is a list of what I got.
  • 2112, by Rush
  • Are You Experienced?, by the Jimi Hendrix Experience
  • Breakfast in America, by Supertramp
  • Janis Joplin's Greatest Hits
  • The Joshua Tree, by U2

I also got the chance to appear briefly on radio. While I was looking thru one of the places to buy CD’s a guy walked up to me with a microphone and started asking me questions. I am a little proud to be on radio, even if no one knows who I was.

I have gotten two major projects so far that I like. First, in Communications Technology I get to make a Flash Cartoon. For those of you who don’t know what a Flash cartoon is, I now who you are, it is a cartoon made using a computer and put on the Internet. I’ll have two of my favourite Flash Cartoons at the bottom of this blog.

The other one is in history. I basically have to argue that the pyramids were built by or with the assistance of a technologically advanced source. I am a believer in the fact the Ancients were visited by aliens. I’m glad that I got this assignment, because I don’t want to go up against it because I think it makes much more sense.

Well, that’s what happening with me. Here are some Flash Cartoons for your enjoyment.

What I've been reading

Alright, first of I would like to tell everybody about the books I’ve been reading. You can read these books to if you want, but you’ll have to get your own copies.
First, I have discovered a new writer. His name is Avram Davidson, and apparently a lot of famous writers in the science fiction genre like him. I’ve never heard of him, but the two short stories in the collection I found are great. I especially like "The Golem," in which a Jewish couple meet an android. What I liked about this story is that the couple didn’t take this android very seriously, while the android was going on about his creation and how he plans on destroying humanity, the couple is going on about their daily life. Eventually the husband rewires the android and sets him to work mowing the lawn. I really liked this story for it’s quirkiness. I recommend Avram Davidson, but I understand finding any of his work will be hard.
Second, I have finished the sequel to Dan Simmons’ masterpiece of science fiction, Hyperion. This book, Fall of Hyperion, tells the continuation of the seven pilgrim’s journey and the fall of the Hegemony of Man and TechnoCore. This book has everything a good science-fiction novel needs. It has vast interstellar war, political intrigue, detailed worlds, interesting characters, weird religions, the second coming of Christ, everything. I recommend this whole series, I’m on the next book already. I’m only sorry that most of the original pilgrims are dead, what with it being over two hundred years in the future, but from what I hear that won’t keep Martin Silenus down.
On a related note, I understand that they (the Hollywood people) are going to try making Hyperion into a movie. I’m a little nervous about this, because I don’t see Hyperion as a movie. I’m curious about it though, wondering about who they would cast as who. If I was in charge of it I would make it as a miniseries, but I’d get Jack Black to play Martin Silenus, the poet, not because I imagine Martin Silenus as looking like Jack Black, but because I can easily see Jack Black playing Martin Silenus. You would have to read the book. I think I’ll make this into a post. Who I would cast as the characters in Hyperion.
Thirdly, I am reading The Crystal Shard, by R.A. Salvatore. I believe I have said that I am a fan of Drizzt Do’Urden and this book is a Drizzt novel. I wouldn’t say that he’s the star in this one, but he is a major character. I like the book so far, the characters are a little lacking so far, but keep in mind this is R.A. Salvatore’s first novel.
Also, I went to the Library today and picked up some novels that I plan to be reading soon.
  • Only You Can Save Mankind, by Terry Pratchett
  • Endymion, by Dan Simmons
  • Castle of Days, by Gene Wolfe

Grade 11 has lost all novelty value

Okay, I’m probably going to be criticized for this because I went on about how bored I was, but I’m really hating school right now.
So, I had to do math, and I absolutely hate math. I believe that I have said this. Math is my least favourite subject. I’m more of an arts person. I prefer a good book, drawing pictures of fanciful characters, learning about some ancient civilization and come up with vast interplanetary empires and strange aliens. Math is just sitting around in a hot room, doing pointless calculations that I will only forget latter.
Anyway, I have a whole wack of math homework to do and I hate it. The only good thing is that I will be done math in over three months and if I can wait long enough I can get out of there and never have to see another arithmetic series in my life.

In my sister's defense...

I'd like to respond to my last post by saying that my sister Dilila is not always mean to me. She can be very civil with me but she always finds me annoying in someway. She does have this whole vibe about her that gives out a little hostility, but she can be pretty alright at some times. I just don't like it when she grabs my hair.

I'm so Lonely and Sad

I’m not feeling my best today, My little sister Sprite had a bunch of her friends over today and yesterday and my sister Dililla had here friends come over. This makes me sad because I don’t have any freinds who can come over.
Whats more, Dililla is very mean to me. She’s always grabbing onto my hair and yelling at me, she makes me feel very emotionlly damaged and sad. She hurts my feelings a lot.
Thats how I feel.

Brian Mulroney's New Book

Haven’t done a blog in awhile. I figured I’d talk about the Brian Mulroney book that came out.
For all you Yanks out there, Brian Mulroney was the Prime during the eighties and late nineties. He is not considered the greatest Prime Minister in Canadian history. He was a real suck up to Ronald Reagan and was on TV once. I can’t remember why he was so unpopular and all. But he came out with a book.
This book is basically Brian Mulroney yaking on about he was the best Prime Minister Canada ever hade and that Canadians should damn-well stop complaining. He also disses all kinds of people, including Trudeau, who is considered one of Canada’s greatest leaders. He also goes on to claim that tearing down the Berlin Wall was his idea.
This incessant rambling, which I guess I do but we aren’t talking about that, reminds me of this guy called Marat, and a book written by some certain German dictator.
Marat was this guy who ran a Newspaper during the French Revolution. As you probably know, the French revolution is famous for being incredibly bloody. Marat was behind all this in some way always saying that the people of France should kill more things and that the Guillotine was the greatest thing that happened to France and saying who should be killed. He was basically the McCarthy of the French Revolution. What make’s things even worse was that he was lifted to a sort of sainthood by the Revolutionaries. I consider this pretty sick, because he was a really perverted dude.
The other thing this reminds me of (in pointless rambling, not content) was Hitler’s Mein Kampf. I have never read this book, or plan on even coming into Physical Contact with a copy. In it Hitler explains that there is a Jewish conspiracy that randomly decided to get money out of Germany. This is crazy that I can see no way for the Jewish people, people with no homeland at that time, to decide to get money out of Germany. Also, why just Germany. That is why I believe that Mein Kampf is a stupid book.
Thinking about the amount of junk that people can come up with by looking at these three guys in just plain stupid nattering from Brian Mulroney, and the warmongering of Marat, and Hitler’s racist ideals. This whole blog thing is kind of scarey. Think about it, anyone can get a blog. That includes people like Marat and Hitler. There they can complain about things all they want. Thankfully, we live in an age were any idiot with an Internet connection can have a blog, so the risk level of this is probubly less then in the pre-Internet age. Still, it is a risk that we live in.
Wow. I just wrote an essay. Sweet.

After a long period of contemplating the infinite and handling a turbulent sea of emotions it helps to read some P.G. Wodehouse

I was really troubled emotionally. What with me being a teenager who asks really big questions and a berserker who gets control on my body for three seconds whenever I get frustrated, which can be once every three minutes. So after talking about this stuff with my dad, I decided to read a short story by P.G. Wodehouse.
P.G.Wodehouse is a famous British humourist who is famous for writing these funny little stories about the British upperclass. I haven’t read much of his work except for some short stories about this guy called Bertie Wooster who is basically this lazy good-for-nothing who is a sure sign of Britain’s decline as a world power. The only reason that he’s still alive is that he had the luck to be born in the upper-class. Wooster also has a valet named Jeeves who’s job is to take care of Wooster, sort of like an Educational Assistant. Jeeves is everything Wooster is not and balances out Wooster’s parasitic relationship on the British Empire. Jeeve’s main job is getting Bertie and his freinds out of all these situations that they find themselves in.
(I actually don’t care much for Bertie’s life-style, just to tell you)
I first discovered this Wodehouse guy while reading a novella in the Otherland series. One of the worlds in the Otherland Network is based on his work. Jeeves hade a small cameo in the novella, but he wasn’t that important in the grand scheme of the plot. I was curious about this simulation world so I looked up P.G. Wodehouse and found he had some works in my local library. I found the stories mildly entertaining and I would like to see where I could find a copy of a few of these stories.
Anyway, I recommend his work. End Article.

For Steph: More Questions and Answers

I understand that things have been going a little hard for Steph, what with college and such so I did some more Q&A's. This may be a continuing thing. If readers have any funny questions to ask me please send them to naousshiva@gmail.com. They must have the following criteria.
  1. Must not offend someone’s race, religion, nationality, gender or sexual orientation
  2. Must be silly

And now, QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS.

Q: Your bow is not broken but you've run out of arrows. How can you fake being a bard?
A: Is this a D&D question? If so, I usually keep a few levels of bard because bard’s ROCK!!!!
Q: You can whistle and steam can whistle, so why do you sing in the shower?
A: Uh, I can’t whistle
Q: What's the most amount of sand you've ever had in your swimming trunks?
A: Who cares?
Q: Unlike a dog, how can a turtle ever be naked?
A: Wait, isn’t a turtle’s shell part of it’s body? I think it is. So therefore a turtle is naked and this question is invalid. And what in the nine levels of hell does a dog enter into this.
Q: You've just inherited a manufacturing plant that specializes in plastics. What are you going to make?
A: Who in there right mind would give me a manufacturing plant. I’m a writer for God’s sake. I don’t know a bloody thing about plastics and don’t want one.
Q: You laughed so hard you can't catch your breath. Stick out your tongue and show us what's funny:
A: BUNNIES!!!!!! Wait, there on my tongue, oh gross. (spit)
Q: If your whole body were a hot air balloon, would you stop eating spicy food?
A: Hm. I don’t want to be a hot air balloon. It doesn’t sound very pleasant.
Q: What kind of tape is best for creating a sculpture?
A: Not the transparent kind. Duct tape and that yellow kind sounds good.
Q: If you drive on a parkway why don't they make the whole plane out of that?
A: (pause) Um (another, longer pause) Could you repeat the question?
Q: If you drive on a parkway why don't they make the whole plane out of that?
A: (pause) because it’s stupid.
Q: You've written a hit musical! How will you avoid having fame go to your head?
A: Why would it go to my head? Why would I write a musical? I don’t think that I could write a musical. It doesn’t strike me as something I could do. That would probably keep the fame out of my head.
Q: Aren't papier mache cuts the worst?
A: Oh yes, almost as bad as the Comfy Chair. (Monty Python reference)

Q:Compose the lyrics to a new national anthem that features an animal sound at least once:
A: Steph, remind me to do this as a separate post - Writer.

A: When he/she/it has stopped talking, duh
Q: Radio wire is often used to make bird nests. What station do they listen to?
A: Depends on the species. Your average sparrow would listen to a mix station. Pigeons would listen to a more Urban theme. Robins would listen to Classic Rock. Parrots would listen to Talk Radio. Penguins would listen to smooth jazz and an Ostrich wouldn’t listen to radio. It would watch television.
Q: If there's no I in team, why is there meat?
A: To eat.
Q: The squish of mud between your toes; how would you live your life as a frog?
A: Use my own body as a power source to overthrow the human race.

A: The colour blue doesn’t mean raspberry-flavored. The colour blue means truth, dignity and reliability.
Q:Well, maybe they don't need them, but don't you think that some fish might like a bicycle?

First Day of Grade 11

Schools back in session
Time for our lesson
-Principal Skinner, The Simpsons
Yes Skinner, School is back in session. And I for one couldn’t be happier. I have a routine and for once in my life I actually care about a good percent of my classes.
So today I went to school at eight, and I had an hour and a half of time to kill. To kill time I read Sojourn, the third book in the Dark Elf Trilogy and went to the Library to pick up a book. Usually your not allowed to sign out a book, but I happen to be good friends with the librarians so they let me get it out.
This was followed by me going to an assembly. I didn’t pay that much attention to it to tell you the truth. After that I went to Latin, then Communications, then lunch, then Math, then Ancient History. That was basically my day up until now.

I'm not going to stand for it

I was checking this Day in Alternate History this morning as I always do and I saw a comment. Naturally I checked and it turned out to be for a porn site. I find this disgusting and I’m not going to stand for it on my blog.
That means YOU.

New Orleans and the Heinlein Prophecies

Awhile ago it really sunk into me. New Orleans is gone. It is no more, it lives on only in the hearts of those who lived there. That sort of thing. Well, after learning this I was stunned. An entire city has been whipped out by the forces of nature.
One of my family friend brought up that this reminded her of Sodom and Gamora, in the Bible. This has been a story that bothers me. The basic premiss was that there was a guy called Lot, who lived with his wife and two kids in and around the Sodom-Gamora area. Now Sodom and Gamora were really party towns that had broken every sin that the Jewish people have. So one day these two guys came over to Lot’s house and said they needed room, so Lot lets him in. So at some other point that day some guys from Sodom and Gamora came over because they heard that there were some hot young guys over at Lots house. This is the part that bothers me, He tells them "Oh, don’t do that to these complete strangers. Here, rape my two daughters." Well, after that it turns out that these two guys were angels sent from God, patted him on the back, told him to get out of Sodom and Gamora as fast as humanly possible, Sodom and Gamora are nuked and Lot’s wife Rebecca is turned into a pillar of salt.
Mind, I’m not into other guys they way the natives of Sodom and Gamora were. I wouldn’t want it forced upon me, but Lot didn’t even bother to ask his guests if they were gay. Then he let’s his sends his daughters, who are probably sacred out of their wits and remained totally screwed by this events are at the hands of a bunch of rapists. The Old Testament has some messed up stuff in it. By this I mean no insult to the Jewish religion, I read in a book that there is always something messed up in every human religion.
Anyway, My point is what if all those fundamentalists in America go in for all this. New Orleans was the "Big Easy," much like Sodom and Gamora were back in the day, and both were smitten down, seemingly by God. I’ve seen stuff that seriously make me doubt America continuing as a democracy, and start a religious theocracy.
It kind of reminds me of the Robert A. Heinlein Future History. See at some point the United States as we know it will fall. The scary thing is, Robert Heinlein’s predictions have turned out to be more or less true.

The Decline of the United States of America

You probably all know about New Orleans being flooded, and all the stories about rapes and looting and desperate people doing stupid things. Well this got me thinking about the current state of the American civilization. My theory is that it ain’t got long to live. I’d say a century, maybe two if it’s lucky. This is of course if the American government keeps democracy. If you Yanks adopt a dictatorship or monarchy or something, you can probably keep going for a few more centuries at the most. This will be followed by a period of separation between the rich and poor and then the games over. This is also thinking that this American Caesar isn’t taken out by the British or Chinese or somebody.
Don’t get me wrong or anything. I’m not claiming to be an expert on this kind of stuff (what I like to call nationology), this is just what I think. My Mom says that New Orleans going into anarchy isn’t going to make the White House go into flames or anything, but it is a sort sign about the state of the USA. This makes me a little worried, because I live in Canada and that I can’t see America going down without taking most of Canada with it. I figure I’m going to have to move of the continent. I guess that I can move to Europe or New Zealand or something. I could build a fall out shelter or something, but I don’t think that I’m that kind of personality.
Well, what else is there to say. I went to visit one of my aunts. We went to A&W and a local book store. I got the last book in the Dark Elf Trilogy and a Dungeons and Dragons accessory book about playing Wizards and Sorcerers. Sorcerers are more of my favourite between the two because they seem more playable to me. That’s pretty much my day. Still waiting for school.

So you know I'm still alive...

August is the worst. July I could handle because we hade stuff to do, but I need to get back to school and do stuff, such as complaining about school.
I was playing Age of Wonders. My fingers are all stiff and my finger is aching because I have to drag my finger a little square. Then my sister just came in and asked if she could go on the Internet. I said no because I think that she was being rude.
My cousins are at my house. The ones that were in the Aladdin play that I told you guys about. I also went to the Tim Horton’s with the Pastor at my church. He’s an okay guy and is starting a new church in a nearby city. I don’t know why I called it my church, since I don’t actually go there anymore.
That is all. I’m still alive.

Waiting for School and New Books

I’m going back to school on September the 6th. I’m going to go check things out and readjust to my school again. I have no idea what my courses are though. Well, that’s not true. I know that I’m doing English, Math, Ancient History, Communications Technology, Visual Art, Latin and some stuff about Anthropology, Sociology and Physiology. I just don’t know the order they will be in.
Well, today I went to the mall and we picked up some books. I got a Forgotten Realms book called Spellfire, by Ed Greenwood who is the creator of the Forgotten Realms. This is apparently the first Forgotten Realms novel ever written. I also got a new notebook that has cool leather covering. I plan on carrying it around in my pocket and taking notes on my various universes spinning around in my head, stuff like breif descriptions of the various Dragonlords of Saranold, Emperors of the Americo-Chinese Empire and Popes of the Gnostic Catholic Church, quotes of important figures in these various worlds like Naos, Daina, Nai’Atha, The Rius and so forth. Stuff like that. I’d post these on my blog, but I’m afraid someone might steal my ideas. I may do it sometime in the future, but I’m not making any promises.
I’m going to work on my various worlds know, Later.

Q: Why do we blog, A: For blog's sake

Well, Dad got me the first Baldur’s Gate, which doesn’t have as many characters. It’s fun, but we don’t have a memory card. This means that every time my character dies, I have to start the whole damn game over again. It is very annoying. I’d just like to get past the first level of sewers.
Other then that things are great. I’m reading three books as of yet. First is Exile, which is the second book in the Dark Elf trilogy, chronicling the origins of the drow ranger, Drizzt Do’Urden. I’m not enjoying it as much as the last book, but I think I’ll continue reading the series for reasons as of yet unknown to me.
The second book is Hidden Empire, in a series I have started reading called Saga of the Seven Suns. It’s by Kevin J. Anderson who helped write the Dune prequels with Brian Herbert, Frank Herbert’s son. I think Kevin J. Anderson’s work is influenced by Frank Herbert, the plot seems complex enough with all these characters and the interplay of politics which is what Frank Herbert is known for in the Dune series. Also, it is an incredibly detailed and interesting world.
The third is K-PAX II, On a Beam of Light, it’s part of a ominbus that my sister got me on her trip to England. I’d half to say that the K-PAX series is an interesting set of books from what I understand. But it makes me feel nervous when eating meat. See, prot and other K-PAXians don’t eat meat because all other animals are apparently sentient or something.
Also, I would like to recommend Hyperion by Dan Simmons. It’s a wonderful science fiction novel that I guess you could describe as the Canterbury Tales in a science fiction environment. See, it takes place mainly on this planet called Hyperion, where the people worship this alien killing machine known as the Shrike, and they are getting this last pilgrimage to the Shrike, but no one in this pilgrimage actually follows the Shrike Church, and as a way of survival the people tell each other how they wound up on this pilgrimage. Thru these stories we get an understanding of Hyperion, and the space empire of the Hegemony of Man, as well as the odd circumstances for these people’s pilgrimage. I loved it, I recommend it to everyone.
Well, that’s all. Ta ta.

I'm back from the Cottage

I’m back from my relative’s cottage. Sorry I couldn’t post.
Well, My trip to my relative’s cottage was okay. I was a little bored for a while and I’m glad to be back home. We rented a Playstation 2, and I’m a little sad that we couldn’t get Baldur’s Gate II. I did get a Star Trek game that I hope will be fun, but I don’t know if it will be. To tell you the truth, I found the last Star Trek game I played kind of difficult.
I hope that my blogging picks up by School. I’m getting fed up with this summer vacation thing.

I'm Okay

I just wanted to say that I am alright. Recently nothing much has happened, I made an unsuccessful attempt at getting a job, and I’m going to see my cousin in a play tonight. Goodbye, I will talk more about this later.

The Woman Who Married Her Son's Wife

Awhile back I went to the library and picked up a book of folk tales. I was reading Otherland at the time and stories where a reoccurring theme, so it stood out to me and I decided to take it out.
I read a story in it today. It’s an old inuit tale that goes something like this.
Once there was an old woman who fell in love with her son’s wife. One day while here son was out hunting she made herself a penis out of sealbones and skin, hung it around her waist and went over to show her son’s wife, who liked it and they slept together. The old woman started hunting for the girl. The wife’s husband came back from hunting one day and saw that there where already seals in front of the igloo. His wife didn’t tell him anything. So the husband hide out and waited for whoever was leaving these seals behind to come over. Then he saw his mother coming up with a big hooded seal on her Kayak. This is where my understanding of the story gets tricky, because I think that it says that only the man and his mother where capable of killing hooded seals. Anyway, the old woman got out and started sweet talking her son’s wife, but her son killed her and told his wife that they have to leave because they are in a cursed place.
Reading that, it is easy to imagine that this is just some story telling people that homosexuality is bad. It may be, but there is one more part at the end, because when the young woman learned that her husband has killed the old lady, she cried and said "You killed my husband." And she wouldn’t stop crying.

You know what else bugs me...(a continuation of “You know what really bugs me,”)

I was doing the dishes with my sister Delila, I dry, she washes. I don’t really know how this came up, but she said that she figure I’ll be living with my parents till I’m thirty.
I was offended. She was basically saying that I can’t look after myself. That hurt me, because she makes it sound like she thinks I’m retarded. I know that’s politically incorrect, but that’s what I think she thinks. And this bothers me. I find it very insulting. Sure I haven’t really done anything independent in my life, but for Christ’s sake I’m fifteen!
I’m going to show her. I’m going to go to college (or university, whichever concentrates on the imaginary part of the brain) and I’m going to move to Toronto. Once it was just a dream, but know it’s a must. I’m going to become a great writer, and Delila can rot behind a desk for all I care.
I guess it sounds that I’m angry. I don’t actually feel angry, just insulted, tired and hot. Bye.

Really Good Books

Have you ever read a book that you got so into that you hade to finish it that very night? I have. I almost did last night, but I figure if I work really hard on it I can finish said book tonight. It’s the last volume of the Otherland Series. What do you call a series of four books anyway, a quadrilogy?
The last book that gave me this feeling was Homeland, by R.A. Salvatore. It’s part of a trilogy talking about Drizzt Do’Urden, a dark elf ranger who unlike the rest of his species is a pretty decent guy (How bad can dark elves be? There goddess is psychotic, killing other houses is a common way of getting your family promoted, and, well, read the book). I think it was I just didn’t want Drizzt to end up spending the rest of his life in the Dark Elf city. I mean, I know that there are a lot of other books about Drizzt, and they took place outside of Menzoberranzan (said dark elf city), but I was still nervous about it.
Incidently, this kind of suspense is also in Otherland V4, Sea of Silver Light. Dread, this guy who really likes to kill things, usually women, is currently controlling the Otherland system and all of the characters in it are in danger. Last time I left them, Dread was preparing for a final assault on the Other’s simulation world, where all the people are currently in. I’m a little nervous about how all this turns out, and I will be reading this book right after I finish this bit, which should be right about know.

Delila's Home

You all remember my sister Dilila. Well, two weeks ago she went to London, England. I may have told you about this, but I can't remember and I'm to lazy to check. Anyway, she just came back and everyone is happy, because it was so quite without her to complain about my lips smacking when I eat.
Oh happy days.
Anyway, in England she got my an Oxford university T-shirt and a copy of K-PAX, the trilogy omnibus. I was unaware that K-PAX was a series. That is all.

What me and Loncrow did yesterday and this morning

So Loncrow did make it. First we played a fantasy RPG called Everquest on his Playstation 2. I was an Iskar Shaman (Iskars are like giant lizards). Then we watched The Last Samurai. After that Loncrow helped me download Age of Wonders onto my laptop and we played a game in which I was the lizard-men and he was the orcs. This was followed by Loncrow falling asleep and me playing Baldur’s Gate Dark Alliance.
During this time, me and Loncrow worked on an RPG taking place in Mythania. I’m a little on edge about marketing it, because I’m worried that it may become all messed up. If I do, I would like to market it as a Computer RPG, because I had fun on the ones I played during this time.
I’d like to get a Playstation 2 one of these days, but I doubt my parents would get me one because Sprite would spend too much time on it.
I lent Loncrow my copy of Otherland V1.

It’s 4:10 and Loncrow isn’t here. I’m getting worried.

Killing Time with nonsence

Okay, I’m waiting for my friend Loncrow to come and it’s driving me crazy. I haven’t seen him in quite sometime, not since before summer. It’s going to be great, were going to go to Microplay and rent movies from Rogers video and play on his Playstation 2. It’s going to be fun. Know I am going to extend this for as long as I can.
Die Time, Die.
With Gravity defeated, we can fly.
-Fighter, 8 bit theatre

I first met Loncrow in my elementary school days. I usually walked alone playing out scenarios and such. I was looking for a friend and for some reason Loncrow seemed like a good candidate. It was good we played imaginary games of Pokemon and such things. Later Ruric came into the picture and it was good. I was a little resilient to the change at first, but Ruric eventually grew on me.

Dear God! Could I Be A Phenomeon?

So at dinner, I told my parents that there were like three people making comments on my blog that I have never met before. My mom then says that I she heard from AlphaAunt that if someone types Aspergers Syndrome or Aspie onto a search engine on Google, I will eventually show up. So after dinner I did a search on Google, I gave up after a few pages, but It’s still freaking me out a little. I did find another sit that talks about blogshares and I didn’t know that blogs even had shares.
This is all making me wonder if I am some kind of phenomenon in the making. Could it be possible that because of my blog I will become one of those famous Aspies like Temple Grandin or something. This is a lot to take in. Especially that there are people who are reading my blog that I don’t know about. So please, anyone who hasn’t commented, PLEASE LEAVE COMMENTS! LET ME KNOW THAT YOU ARE OUT THERE!
Also, my friend Loncrow will be coming over tomorrow. Just so you know.

Human of The Week

I have made a new blog called Human of the Week. In human of the week, I will talk about a human I believe deserves to be talked about for a great achievement in humanity. The first is Jesus, since he is one, if not the, most influential persons in human history.
I recommend you check it out, I’ll have a link to it on my blog. This has been an Aspie Diaries service announcement.

What I Did On My Weekend

All right, Last Weekend I went up to my Aunt and Uncle’s cottage. There where actually quite a lot of people there, so I will be using a handy list to tell you who was there without giving away their names.
AlphaAunt, Aunt who owns cottage
AlphaUncle, Uncle who owns cottage
Seal, oldest son of AlphaAunt and AlphaUncle
Monkey, youngest son of AlphaAunt and AlphaUncle, autistic
BetaAunt, Mom’s youngest sister
BetaUncle, BetaAunt’s Husband and New Zealander
BucketHead, BetaAunt and BetaUncle’s son, still a little tyke
RainbowSunshine, BetaAunt and BetaUncle’s daughter, still a little baby
Mom’s Mom, my grandma
Mom’s Dad, my grandpa
I’m calling AlphaAunt and AlphaUncle’s kids Seal and Monkey because when I was little I had everyone in my family attached to a certain kind of animal. I’m calling BetaAunt and BetaUncle’s kids BucketHead and RainbowSunshine because those were suggestions made by Monkey for names when BetaAunt was carrying BucketHead.
There, so Mom’s Mom and Dad picked me up and we all went to this cottage and I stayed there for the weekend. I had fun and I went tubing. Tubing is when you get this big floating thing that looks like a donut and you tie it to the back of a motorboat and drag it around very fast. I also did some work on a third version of the first Naos story. I really think this is going to be the final version.
There was also a bad joke that AlphaUncle made about me and Seal coming up to the cottage with six women. I didn’t think it was that funny because I don’t think that I nor Seal could handle three women. I made a comment that four of these women had better be lesbians. My reasoning was that me and Seal could handle one heterosexual woman each and the rest could handle themselves. AlphaAunt was offended by this for some reason I am not quite sure off.
On Saturday we rented Napoleon Dynamite, because they hadn’t seen it. On Sunday I went home.

...And Finally, You Know Your In America When...

This is Delila's favorite picture.

A better picture of me

This is a better picture of myself, only I'm not wereing my Roswell or Chimp Guevara T-shirt. Since I am adding pictures of myself, you shall see me in those T-shirts and any other ones that I like.
Note the Live Long and Prosper Signs.

The White Squirrel of the Grand Canyon

These are pictures of the White Squirrel, which live on this side of the canyon. The picture above this bit shows a white squirrel being feed by a human, that shouldn't happen and it makes me feel bad because the sign said that it the animals shouldn't be given food.

The Grand Canyon

These are the pictures taken of the Grand Canyon. I don't know what else to put here. Wait, the guy in the corner of one picture I believe is from a Japanese family we saw.

Some Rocks with Pictures on them

These are a bunch of rocks that we saw that have pictures that the First Nations people who used to live around the area drew when they got bored or something.

The Ruins of some First Nations guys who are believed to be ansestors of the Hopi

This was my favorite part of the Petrified Forest because I like ancient civilizations and all that jazz.

The thing at the top is a Kiva, and it is believed that the people who lived there used it for rituals and such. I don't know how.

The Painted Desert

This is a picture of a part of the Petrified Forest National Park called the Painted Desert, because it looks painted. I thought that I'd tell you that I bugged my sister Dilila into taking these pictures and most of the good ones were taken by my parents.

A Section Deveoted to Ralf

This is Ralf, the mascot at the Roswell Museum. Since I have an imaginary freind named Ralph, my familiy found this inffinatly amusing.
NOTE: My mom said that I should stop calling Ralph and Imaginary Freind because it sounds stupid or something. I have decided to go with Pooka, because that was what Harvey was in the movie Harvey.

Stuff at the UFO Museum

The Picture at the top is a replica of an Aztec stone carving that some believe is of a space traveller. It's not the best, but in my defence I didn't take these.

The picture in the middle is of an alien in stasis, if you look real close you can see it.

And the last is a movie prop from the movie Roswell that they donated to the Museum.

Me at the Roswell Crash Site

This is a picture of me at the UFO crash site. We saw this on the way out of Roswell and decided to go get a better look, but some men in black suits aprehended us and made us leave.
(That didn't really happen)

You go Girl!!!!!!!

This is a poem I found on Dan's blog. Since I am trying to build up more Aspie themes to my blog I have decided to link to it. It is called Who is Disabled.

I miss my sister (Delila)

Okay, Awhile back I told everybody about my sister Delila. Her name isn’t really Delila, she just uses that as an alias. Well, she’s gone over to England because of this big girl guide happening and I miss her. It’s strange because she isn’t usually very nice to me and she’s always picking fights with us like she’s on a reality TV show or something and she’s overly protective of me which gets on my nerves and such, but I still miss her and I hope she’s okay. That is all I have to say about that.

My Vacation in America

Well, I am finally back home from the United States of America. It was a good trip and America is a nice place. I wouldn’t want to live there, because Americans don’t have Universal Health Care and Doctor Who.
During my vacation, I worked on making a diary of it. I am going to some it all up in this post.
Major Stops
  • Roswell Known for its famous UFO crash in July 1947, Roswell is a hotbed for Ufologists and conspiracy nuts like me. We ate at a Red Lobster and went to see the International UFO Museum in Roswell. It’s not a really big museum and looks like they converted an old movie theatre out of it, but it was a really cool place and my sister took a few pictures on her digital camera, so you can see what they have.
My favourite part was the Library. The have a collection of books about all kinds of UFO related subjects. I also noticed a small sculpture that was donated by a Robert A. Taylor. I recognized the name, because he is the guy who does this day in alternate history. I bought a T-shirt at the gift shop.
  • Route 66 The historic highway that connected the East and West coast. We didn’t make any real stops, but we did see a lot of merchandise. We also passed a roadside attraction that boasted the longest map of route 66.
  • The Petrified Forest A long time ago in the Triassic Period, a volcano went off somewhere in what would become the southwestern United States, and all the wood around this volcano got petrified. Okay, I’m not good at describing all this fossilization stuff, but they’ve got a movie to do that. Anyway, you can see all kinds of fossilized trees lying around. There is also an abundance of wildlife in the Petrified Forest, but we didn’t see much of it. My favourite part was the ruins from some people who used to live there. It is believed that they are ancestors of the Hopi and Navaho peoples who moved out because of a drought. It was a good part of the vacation and I got an arrowhead, collection of photos and a book on the history of the Hopi people.
  • The Cabin in Flagstaff, Arizona My favourite part of the trip, because I was able to have my own bed. We stayed for three days and I was hope to come back again because of all the shopping. Flagstaff is apparently a big New Age place. I noticed an advertisement from a woman who claimed to help advance your ESP. I can’t remember her name, but it was made up off symbols that were not from our alphabet.
We also saw a big used book store were I acquired a Beatles CD (sort of a greatest hits collection) and a D&D guide (Dungeon Masters Guide).
  • Wolf Creek Pass Is were the continental divide that separates California and the rest of North America. I was content to not go out and stay in the car, but NO. My dad decided that we should all get out of the car and go for a walk, which I don’t mind at first. But then we end up walking thru a swamp and my feet are wet and then we have to make a great detour across some grass and it was hot. When we got back to the car thou, Dad saw some dirt road that lead up to some peak and I found it far to quite so I went back into the car and listened to Queen.
    I don’t like nature.
Also, I know a song about Wolf Creek Pass, to go to the lyrics click Wolf Creek Pass.
  • The Branding Iron Restaurant There is quite a good story behind this one, see my parents and sisters and I were all looking for a good restaurant, so we went into this Branding Iron Restaurant. When we got there, I noticed that they had a sign hanging over the counter saying "We don’t call 911," under it was a pistol. Naturally, I was curious so I asked Mom about the sign. Mom said I shouldn’t worry about it, but my curiosity was overwhelming and when the waitress came I asked her about the sign and the gun.
She looked at me with a straight face and said "Because if it’s to hot we shoot you,".
Then mom was all like "Oh, no. He’s going to have an outburst," and I was all like "Oh, no, If I make a wrong move they’ll shoot me. Better not have an outburst." So I told her I’d have mild.
Eventually, I saw the practical use for the gun. My dessert was pre-heated so I found it oddly hot.
  • Mom’s friend’s House This is why we went. See, every two years. My mom and her friends from College go to one of their houses and stay for a weekend. It was a good time and I saw the premier for the new season of Stargate SG-1. They got Ben Browder, who played John Criton in Farscape to play the new leader of SG-1 and Coronel O’Neil is only a recurring character know. I’m not sure about how this is all going to go down with Ben Browder being the new leader of SG-1, but I hope that it goes well and that this new character isn’t to similar to Chriton from Farscape.
Mainly I just relaxed. I watched two movies (Napoleon Dynamite and Spirited Away) and I went to see a place called the Garden of the Gods that filled me with all the natural wonder that Dad’s wilderness trip didn’t. We also went swimming and were amazed that deer live in there backyards. That is mainly what happened.

Well, that was what happened. I did try to reread American Gods by Neil Gaiman, but I lost interest. You may know comment on my blog.
