Oh God, oh God we're all going to die!

Just glanced through a copy of Adbuster's and it scarred the scrock out of me. The title I saw was called Culture of Death and it basically talked about how screwed we are, what with the environment screwing up and the wars in the Middle East and people out their are people saying that the world is going to run out of resources and civilization is going to collapse and right-wing nazi religious fanatics are going to take over the world and I don't want to die and I want people to look back on my writing and think, Hey he was a great writer.
I also fear that I am also part of the problem. I know I don't like all the shit that's happening in the world and I try to distance myself and bug my little sister about being a corparate slave to the American merchant-kings in New York or wherever they gather, but what if I'm just pretending to not be part of the problem. I watch TV and stuff. What If I'm just another mindless drone working away for the Man.
So what I'm basically worried about is wheather my entire life and existance is completely pointless. What if my entire works are burned by the Ruling Class? What if I never make my life works and end up with a desk job with a wife and 2.3 children. I don't want that.
I don't want to be part of any revolution either, and this makes me sick. The problem with the human mind is that we shift things away from us making it "Not-Our-Problem". A bunch of people see a woman being stabbed to death in teh street and what do we do. Nothing. It's Not-Our-Problem. But I still don't want to go up against the Man. I want the Man to go into a pit somewhere, curl up and die and just and do the collective of the human race a favour.
What I want is to live in a place where no one can bother me and the secure knowledge that people are being civilized and not blowing themselves up. I want to just sit somewhere in a nice temperate climate without any bugs were it's never to hot or cold and I can wear the Jacket of Ok-ness comfortably all year round. I want to live in a nice quiet cabin were I have enough room for my rapidly growing collection of books and a nice big open-air studio were I can paint. I want to come out with about a novel a year for the rest of my life which I hope to be very long. I want to have a small community of freinds who can play Dungeons and Dragons or some form of d20 Modern with me once every week. I want a girlfreind who I have minimal disagreements with and enjoys a good RPG, a good pie and a good book. That's all I really want. That and to meet Neil Gaiman, Stephen King and Michael Moorcock who are officially my favorite living writers. At least I'm pretty sure Michael Moorcock is still alive. He's just really quite, I think. Or the universe hates me and he's dead.
Basically, I want a peaceful Earth that leaves me the hell alone. A small circle of freinds including my soul mate who play D&D with my once ever week, to put out a novel every year or so and my own place. That's it. I don't know if that's to much to ask for. I don't think it is.
Oh, by the way this is the 300th post on The Aspie Diaries.

Feelings of Lonliness, Two Jones sodas and a Brownie (in a tree)

For most of the morning I was overcome with a big feeling of aloneness and since my mom started asking about it know it's started to settle in a bit. Basically, I think I can attribute it to this dream I have but I didn't really say anything about. To finally get it out, I will speak of it know.
The Dream I hade Last Night
I can't remember all the details, but I was at this big outdoor thing that was like a museaum and there was a family of black people who I think were from a small tribe in Africa or something and they lived their in a rectangular pit. I was with a bunch of other people and we played or talked with them. I was afraid to fall into the pit however. Then I remember that I was with a bunch of people and we were having fun or something.
Then I saw that the African tribe family had built a much larger pit for themselves with some sort of water system, but the mother looked very depressed.
I keep on thinking that one of the people I was with was Larry Underwood from The Stand. He looked exactly like I would think Larry Underwood would look like. I also remember one of the characters was mentally challenged, so I could have been with the cast of The Stand. The tribe we saw could be a refrence to the end of the expanded edition. I won't give it away in fear of ruining it for someone.
Then I saw one of the charcters (I think it was Larry Underwood) trying to talk to the other people from the group in a school environment, but none of them felt like talking or were busy.
There. That is the dream, at least all I can remember. I think my dream may have hade something to do with a subconcious fear of being alone. I believe that Larry Underwood in the last part of the dream represented me, because I related to him most in the novel. The fact that no one was talking to him could mean that I am subconciously afraid that I will not be able to see me freinds when I go back to school.
Anyway, to deal with this I went to a local coffee shop to do some writing. I got a brownie, a cookie, a glass of water and two Jones sodas. I wrote a bit of a novel and a bit of a short story. My dad is putting a desk together in my room. I just thought I should update on this. Bye.

Ralph's blog is up

Ralph know has his own blog. You can go to it by clicking here.

Happy Birthday Krishna

Today is Krishna Janmaashtami, the day that Hindu's celebrate the birth of Krishna. For those of you who are not in the know, Krishna is the eight avatar of Vishnu. He's really big in Hinduism. I don't know how old Krishna is.
Emotionally today, I feel kind of sad. I don't know why, but I feel sad.
Well, nothing really important was happened recently. I got some new buttons for the Jacket of OK-ness, having to do mainly with peace and stuff. Besides getting a collection of articles from the World Weekly News and having my baby cousin over that is the only interesting thing that happened. Just felt like informing you.

Writer's Back

Hello. Did I say that I would post the minute I got home, because I didn't.
Well, the cottage trip was alot of fun. At first it was just me and my immediate family and no electricity. Canadians may have heard of that, but I don't know if Americans like Stepth knows that the power went out in Muskoka, which is cottage country.
Anyway, the power returned fairly quickly and we watched a movie called "Grizzly Man" about a guy named Timothy Treadwell who lived with Grizzly Bears in Alaska before being eaten by one. He is a really odd guy and it was fun using my knowledge of psychology to figure out what was with him. Basically, he needs the bears more then he needs them. It made me nervous, because I kind of related with him as I saw us as both having alot of difficulty with status quo society. It's not like I'm going to go live with bears or anything, but it kind of scared me that I may end up like that.
Anyway, I was able to go to a small book store while I was their where I bought the following books.
  • The Eyes of the Dragon, by Stephen King
  • The Shining, by Stephen King
  • A Voyage to Arcturus, by David Lindsay
  • The Bull and the Spear, by Michael Moorcock
  • The Sword and the Stallion, by Michael Moorcock
  • A Thief of Time, by Tom Hillerman

And that's all I feel like talking about. Goodbye.

Near-Midnight Post

Hey. I have a lot to fill you in on and not much time so here it goes.
First, saw the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie. It was really, really good. I want the line "Where is that monkey, I want to shoot something," on a t-shirt. For any of you animal rights activists, the monkey is already undead so you can’t shoot it. Don’t ask me why the monkey was unaffected by the curse. My guess is that he got one of the coins out after it was fulfilled and re-cursed himself. Also, they leave it open for a sequel and has a great surprise twist. Can’t wait for the one with Keith Richards.
Second, I finished watching Samurai 7, the anime series based on the classic Japanese action flick The Seven Samurai, later to be remade in America as The Magnificent Seven, and rewritten for the Dark Tower Series by Stephen King as The Wolves of Calla (Haven’t read that one, will once I get past Wizard & Glass). I plan on adding elements of it in my big novel about the Apocalypse. It’s a good series and a must see.
Third, I hade my hair trimmed. Not cut, trimmed. At least that’s what my mom says. I am so whipped.
Last, I’ll be away for the next week or so trying to come up with my next short story. Steph is already reading it and I hope to hear from her soon. I also plan on doing a lot of reading, swimming and boating. I’ll see of I can tell you what will happen.
See yeah.

RALPH’S NOTICE
Hello Humans. Just here to tell you that I’ll be setting up my own blog in the next week. Hope to here from you.

Today I lisean to the Rolling Stones

Watched Spinal Tap yesterday. I never realized until know that it's rated R. I suppose I should have guessed since the songs have some not very-subtle sexual innuendo. Still, good movie. In case you don't know Spinal Tap is a "mocumentary" of rock and roll music. It is about a fictional rock and roll band, who go on tour in America, and some guy named Marty Di Bergi or something makes a documentary showing what it is exactly they do and does a breif history of the band. Funny movie.
Let's see, what else? My mom has talked me into getting my hair trimmed so that it will stay long, but I'm a little nervous about this. I like my hair the way it is to be honest.
Another thing that bothers me is the lack of comments on my blog. I havn't gotten any comments. I find this desturbing. Is this the right way to feel? COMMENT PLEASE!!!
Also, I am working on a picture of Naos. I don't know if I can get it up, but if I can I'll do it. This way you can all get an idea of what Naos looks like.
That's it. Oh, and see Benny & Joon. My sister, Delila got it. (Does she even know who Delila was I wonder?), anyway. It's a good movie. Johnny Depp is in it. His character kind of reminds me of me, mainly in his social awkwardness. Good movie, see it.

I'm liseaning to Rush on my Mp3 player, and yes I know this title is completely LAME!!!

Well, my little sister Sprite has a freind over. She's been here for a week. Slitely annoying having two screaming little girls around the house.
It dosn't look like Rowiin the human can make it for Dungeons and Dragons. This whole D&D thing would be so much better if I hade a little brother who was into this. Anyway, I plan on bringing them to the cottage and playing it with some of my relatives. Maybe I can get them hooked and have them over every friday or something. Well, their's only one, but I figure it's better then nothing.
Whatelse is happening? Oh, as I've said I'm going to a cottage next week. I don't know if I'll be able to make any contact. Let's hope I can.
Also, as some of my longtime readers havn't noticed, Ralph hasn't made a post or anything like that in awhile. I am considering making an entirely different Ralph account. I could post it up and write a bunch of things on it to make it seem like Ralph has an existance beyond random conversations. Do you guys think it's a good idea?
Writer out.

Sulu says Captain, The Tholians have got us in a bordum web

To all available Trekkies (or Trekkers, Star Trek fans) guess what episode this is from. There is no prize and I can't confirm it, but do it anyway.
Anyway, The summer blahs have finally set in. There is a chance of Dungeons and Dragons this week, but I am at a lose to figure out how spend the intervening time. I tried painting, but I can't seem to get the sketch the way I want it. I'm feeling like doing something with Naos. Oh, right, my first painting is up. It is of Ralph exploring an ancient ruin, probably some Pre-Draan Talortreal ruins. At least that is what I'm going to say. I'm the only one who will understand, but I'll say it anyway.
Maybe I should do a painting of some various Mythanian species, like in my Forgotten Realms book, with them all standing. Maybe two for each gender (three for draan). It won't explain cultural detail, but it will show them what they look like at least. Hm, would this include cultural differences. Should I draw a Tarkesh and a Hand Cronullaban? Maybe I'll separate sketches for various countries. Anyway, Tarkesh and The Hand are very close so they should have a similar fashion, especially they were both a part of the former Anoran Empire.
I've lost you? Haven't I.
Well, I'm at the library, even though I could easily write this at home. The library just seems to be a better environment for me to get this down. Beats me why I'm doing it here. It's not a private place. Maybe their's just a less emotionally attached environment for me.
Back to the Painting and doing it as a line-up of Mythanian races, I don't think I could easily do it with the three boards I have on me. I have at the very least twenty sentient species inhabiting it and I keep trying to come up with more. Maybe I should just paint some random Mythanian inhabitants, I was thinking of doing something with The Sisters of the White Lady, a religious sect of the Singer Cult. Maybe I should just go home and type stuff up on Mythania, I was hoping to get all the information on it out by next fall. I just need to get it all down.
Last, I am reading The first books of the Masks of God. It's a non-fiction series about the evolution of Myth, written by Joseph Campbell. It was given to me by one of my aunts and I haven't really gotten around to reading it until today.
Okay, I have just one more thing to talk about. I'm really worried about all this talk of WWIII. Why can't everybody just get along and leave each other alone. It's like all the world leaders in the world don't care about the people who are following them. Why do humans feel the need to follow someone, even if that someone is a religious fanatic, you can interpret that as either Bush or the leader of Hezbala, sorry if I misspelt that. No, you know what, I don't care how to spell your stupid cabal of death-dealers. And I don't have any respect for your administration Bush. I don't care if you believe that this whole thing is the fricking rapture, if this is your rapture then screw it. You can go up with St. Whatshisname, who said that the richeaous will all enjoy seeing the damned be tourchered over margarettas and I'll stay down here in the flames, because if that's Heaven then you can keep it. I'd rather stay in Hell if that's Heaven.
So to put it bluntly, everyone in charge of the world is insane. Authority has shown that it is a flawed insitution. ANARCHY NOW!!! See you at the Revolution, unless there's a nuclear war. Then we'll all join up in the Boulder Free Zone and start a new society.

Update. Cool Bookstore

Okay, Urgent Update. On Wednesday (yeah, ruins the urgency) I went to a bookstore called Citylights Bookstore in London, Ontario. It is a very good bookstore. Not as organized as some of the ones I've been to, but the celection here is great. You have to check it out. I'll put the adress down in a comment. These are the books I got.
  • The Swords of Corum, by Michael Moorcock (First Three books in the Corum series)
  • The Cornelius Chronicles Book 1, also by Moorcock
  • Earthclan (Startide Rising and The Uplift War), by David Brin
  • Forgotten Worlds, I forget who wrote this but it's said to be more shocking and true then Erich Von Daniken's Chariots of the Gods, which I am reading.
Thats it. Bye.

Missing Things

Hey. I'm reading the sequael to Illium, called Olympos, in which our heros are no longer in the Illiad as much as an alternate version where everybody is fighting the gods. I'm not going to get much more into it since it would ruin the entire reading prosess. It has proven to be as good, if not better then the first novel.
This has been happening for a long time know so I should have told you sooner, but I'm going to physiotherapy. Apparently my posture is so lazy it affects long term pain so I need to do a bunch of streaches. That and swim alot, but my dad's parents have a swimming pool. I was their today and did fifteen lengths.
Still no update from my D&D group (i.e. Rowiin the human). I really miss Loncrow and Ruric, my first D&D group that was scattered to the far corners of the Realms. Me and Loncrow hade a really good campaign too. I was enjoying it at least. I think I may work it into a novel or something.
Well, tomorrow I'm going to a used book store. I have sworn of Chapters since it dosn't always have what I'm looking for and I am know looking into buying exclusivly from small retail bookstores. My mom has agreed that we will try to go to one used book store each week this summer. Sounds like a good idea to me.
And on the weekend we are going to a big Folk festival in London, Ontario. It should be interesting and I hope to pick up some new buttons for my jacket. I'm not wearing my jacket these days since it's too hot. I like that jacket.
Think that's everything. See ya.

Hooray! I'm Blogging From Home.

Yes. The internet is up and running from my house and I can blog from home. I'd like to thank Willy's dad for the technical support and you know, doing it.
Anyway, things going fine for me. I'm going swimming later today at my grandparents. I didn't get up until around noon today since I didn't get to sleep until three since my mom and dad were at a party and I was at my grandparents for some reason. God, I got to go. I'll get back. Here are some blog things enjoy.

Ilium Rocks

I finsihed Ilium by Dan Simmons last night and it is a cool book. Dan Simmons writes the kind of stuff I want to write, big long epics where the fate of humanity lies in the balance. Course, I'd like to have a more Stephen King element, character development and use of language. Seems that I do have a small understanding of language Steph, I just have a different view of it.
Maybe that's the secret of language. Maybe different styles of writting attract different types of people. I'd appreciate some feedback on this, and not just Steph this time. I want to see more hands this time.
Anyway, breif plot of Ilium. It takes place in the distant future where Mars has been Terraformed and is ruled by Ancient Greek gods. Know these gods are currently in the middle of the Trojan War and have brought back a bunch of famous classical scholars who work as field agents. One of these field agents is Thomas Hockenberry, who near the beginning of the novel is hired by Aphrodite to kill Athena.
Meanwhile back on Earth, the world is inhabited by a bunch of eloi-type humans who's only goal in life is to go around and party as exemplified in Daeman, who's only interests are getting laid and collecting butterflies. On one of his missions to get laid he meets Harman, who is possibly the only human on the planet who still knows how to read. They end up going on a mission across most of Earth via fax-portals, where they learn a whole lot more about what's going on with Earth.
And on the moons of Jupeter, a bunch of Moravecs are gathered together to investigate the build up of Quantom activity on Mars, which may lead to a real catistrofic event like destroying the solar system. The crew includes Mahnmut, Ganymedian captain of the Dark Lady and amateur scholar of Shakesphere's sonnets, and Orphu of Io, a giant horseshoe crab robot with a foundness for Proust. There are two other moravecs, but they die so they arn't important.
I'm not going to give away the rest, but it has everything a good novel needs. Read it, and while your at it, read Hyperion, also by Dan Simmons. They are good books and I'm pretty sure are an influence on me.

Painting by Writer (no pictures yet)

Hey. Is anyone else having problems reaching the 8 bit theatre link? I keep on ending up in this link place and I would like to know how it's going.
Well, nothing much happening. Bunch of kids beside me playing some game in which you destroy a computer. I never got those games. It makes no real sense. I'd blame violence in the media, but I'm pretty sure that may just have something to do with a inbred human aggression or something that we arn't all that keen on talking about.
So, nothing much has happened since my last post except that I am working on a painting of Ralph. I had to get get some black paint from a local art store, but it's coming along well and everyone I showed it liked it. Except for Delila, but she probubly just dosn't want to tell me how cool it is. I'm not sure how I'm going to do next in it, Ralph is almost done except for some more details and his whiskers. After I'm don Ralph I'm going to work on the background. I also don't know how to get a copy on, but I'll try.
That's about it. Nothing interesting happening. Bye.

If everyone but me went to Kansas City

Since I have been reading The Stand by Stephen King, in which a bunch of people find themselves alone because everyone's died of a plauge I've been thinking it something like that would happen to me. Not everybody dying, but everyone just going to another plane of existance or planet or Kansas City as Tom (the newest character in this epic novel) believes they did. If they could just leave everything like it is then that would be fine with me, and leave the electricity one. The electricity isn't on in the Stand because everyone who can manage it is dead from the plauge. I figure I'd be like that guy who was in the one chapter, I can't remember his name but he painted landscapes and used to be a sociology professor until almost everybody died. He seemed nice and I suppose that he would be me if we ended up in a population desimating plauge, except I'd be painting mystical animals and warriors and stuff. He also had a dog, and I don't praticularly like dogs. If it was the only other being in my home town however then I figure we'd have to move in. I'd call the dog Blood, because that's the name of the dog in the Harlan Ellison short story "A Boy and his Dog." It is a good story and I liked it alot. I recommend it.
I'd still like to have some people around, but at a distance. Steph, your on my list since you are a freind, but we have a long distance relationship. I'm presumming that all the people went to Kansas City where you are too, by the way. If you like we could meet at Halifax or something and try and get to Hans by ship or something. I figure I'd learn how to drive, since their arn't alot of people and since civilization has collapsed anyway so their. Or since we're working on the assumption that everything is working in our favour (or mine if that's how it's working) you, Hans and I are all on the same continent. Either way, I'm still fine talking to you via blogs (and msn if I can figure out how to get an account) since I'd just like to be alone for extended periods of time. That and I'd have to go to a bunch of cities to pick up more art supplies and free books. I may just move into a local university and make base their.
Anyway, that's my secret apocalyspse fantasy.

A letter to The Watchowski Brothers concerning their rescent movie, V for Vendetta

Dear Watchowski Bros,

Loved the Matrix, but I have my doubts about your new movie. I am a fan of V for Vendetta and I was disappointed with the result. I don’t want to sound like Alan Moore here, but I don't know why you guys felt that you had to change the story. V for Vendetta was great the way it was. For one thing they made V way to soft in the movie. He just went out and killed the guys for one thing. The V I met in the graphic novel brought whatshisname, the propaganda guy brought him back to Shadow Gallery and burned his dolls in a makeshift concentration camp. (If you read the book, you'd know that propaganda guy collects dolls from before the nuclear war and cares about them a lot more then he did the people in the concentration camps. This is an example of Irony I think) I was really disappointed with that once I thought about it. Also, why'd you have to add the whole biological war thing when the nuclear holocaust was just as good. Sure the threat of nuclear anniolation is not as big these days, but you could have at least presented it as an alternate history or something. And you left out the Fate Computer, the Fate Computer is really important to the plot. And you left out Adam Susan, the REAL leader of Norsefire. How could you leave out Adam Susan, he's a great character. Sure this Adam Sutler guy falls into the more Hitleresque view the public has of a fascist leader, but that's just bowing to the masses ,Watchowski Bros. (or siblings if the rumors I've heard are true) but Adam Susan has his own special craziness with the whole love affair with the Fate Computer. That's a good plot hook guys, run with it. Also, the whole romance thing between V and Evey, come on. V isn't suppose to have any determinable human feelings. There are more complaints, but I'll let Alan Moore deal with them. I'd tell you guys to go back to writing something original like the Matrix, but I've heard that you may have gotten the whole idea from the Invisibles, by Grant Morrison. I don’t care that much, since that’s Mr. Morrison’s idea, but either way you guys had better come up with something good soon. Come up with something original for God's sake. That's what Hollywood needs right now. Something Original, something nobody's ever seen before. That's what people want. Look at Star Wars for Christ's sake. Come up with something really cool. Have you agent lock you in a room for a week until you come up with something. I want to see something original fella's.
Anyway, good luck on your endeavours. Hope you come across this in a random search for you movie, or if you accsidently spell Mythology as Mythania or something.
Sincerly Yours,

Writer.

P.S. Ralph says hi.

New Books and Art Supplies

Yesterday I went with my mom and sisters went out to a big city, where I got art supplies and new books. The art supplies consist of three brushes, four canvases, and a set of acryllic paints. I don't know what I'm going to paint, but it will depend greatly on whether I have skin tone or not. If I have skin tone, I may do Roland. If I don't I'm probubly going to do either Ralph or Elric.
Anyway, the books I got at the used book store I went to are (know let me see). Something about a torcherer by Gene Wolfe, The Seventh Book in the Elric Saga, which I was pretty sure ended at the sixth, and Barlowe's Guide To Fantasy. I already own Barlowe's Guide to Extraterrestrials. These books are basically a guy who drew a bunch of aliens and characters from Fantasy and Science Fiction. It is pretty cool. We also went to a Chapters, but I didn't find anything I wanted. I've decided to stick to Used Book Stores from know on. Mom says we can try going to a new used book store every week this summer and that sounds like a good idea.
I also got a copy of the Koran and The Avram Davidson Treasury today to add to my personal library. I plan on working on this. I also want to upgrade all my Dark Tower books to the ones with pictures in them.
I guess for my personal library I would like to have alot of books dealing with religion and mythology and stuff, and alot of classic science fiction and fantasy special editions. I'd also have a fairly good collection of graphic novels. V for Vendetta would certainly be on the list, but I'm also working on getting the entire Bone series in colour. I may also get a bunch of Cerebus, but I'd stop before it gets into all the right-wing bantering. Oh, and the entire Sandman series by Neil Gaiman. I don't really know how much classic stuff I'd have, because that never really rubbed off on me. I like the movies, but I just don't care that much for the comics. I don't know if I'd have a copy of Watchmen either, because I don't really like it as much as V for Vendetta. I'd like Rorscach on my side in a fight, but I don't really like the series that much.
I don't really know why I like Rorscach. The guys a right wing, vigilanty nutcase. I think it's the mask. Rorscach has a cool mask. V could beat him in a fight though, mainly because V is capable of abstract thought, if you ever read the book you'll notice he's always talking in riddles and symbolism and such, for instance the whole 'five' motif. "You Can Call Me V" for instance has five sylibals.
Well, that's it. Hope you enjoy Letter to the Watchowski Bros.

Babbling on about D&D, Jesus and the Grateful Dead

Well. I don't know what to say exactly. I'm going to be picking up some art supplies and new books tomorrow and I've got a new the basic plot of the next Dungeons and Dragons campaign down. I'm not going to say anything, but it revolves around the amazingly new concept of a magic ring. Oh, magic ring. Shiny. Precious and such.
Incidently, I just realized that in Lord of the Rings, the Fellowship set out around December, so they would be trekking across snow, but they are always shown walking around in farely temperate climates. Does it snow in Middle-Earth, or is it more like New Zealand then first thought. I want answers people.
Well, we visited some family freinds which was okay. I don't have any code names for them but their cool people. They are christians, but their cool christians who don't look at Jesus as THE MAN. That is the big mistake that most christians make about Jesus, that he is THE MAN, or THE GOD or whatever. They way some christians look at Jesus (and I'm looking at some people featured in a documentary about a gay bar in the American South) look at Jesus/God as a really pissed of fella who's sending lightning bolts and such onto all the heathens and gays and liberals and such. I don't really consider myself an expert in this area, but I from what I've heard of Jesus he's just some guy who went around telling people to stop being stupid and get along, kind of like Gandhi or Martin Luther King Jr or the 16th Dali Lama (I think's that the one we have today) only most of the world looks at him as a god or at the very least a prophet. I've probubly written this down becaue I'm always going on about it, but JESUS WAS A HIPPIE! I mean look at the guy. When was the last time you think he shaved? And the whole peace and brotherhood and the fact he was very anti-establishment (he said that man could gain unity with God without the use of a priest class or something like that). He was a hippie, or at least a resonable facsimily. All the people on the religious right would probubly hate his guts.
Think how funny it would be if Jesus came back today and this whole thing turned out to be true. I would be laughing for the rest of the day. I just hope I can see him before somebody shoots him.
I'm liseaning to the Grateful Dead at the moment. I have downloaded a bunch of Grateful Dead songs on my Mp3 player awhile back and I have liseaned to them over and over again. I think I am a delayed Deadhead. I don't really know what a Deadhead is, but I'm farely sure it is a fan of the Grateful Dead. I don't know if it has anything to do with drugs. I don't do drugs because from what I gather they make you loose concentration, giggle at random moments and see giant talking mice and wise old grey elf people, and I already have the first two and I fill in for the last one. Anyway, the point is like the Grateful Dead and I don't do drugs because I can find myself in a similar state without their help.
This has been a stream of concious session.

Hello World

Awhile back, I said that in 20 more posts I'll have 300 posts. I'm going to apologize now and say that it dosn't look like that will happen. I had some drafts on my account and that set everything off. I don't know when the 300th post will come, but I'll tell you when it does.
Well, I got up near Eleven and I am feeling very good at the moment. I feel very well rested and happy and that I need some excersize. Besides that, nothing else is happening. I'm at the library because I'm bored and feel like working on Mythania. Nothing new on it, and besides Steph is probubly the only one who's going to see any of it. Sorry Grandma, but I'm not sure you'd understand it anyways.
Anyway, I just felt like saying hello. Bye.

Summer Time

As many of my readers may be aware from reading about my dealings with summer last year. It is a very boring time for me. That's why I'm at the library know. I'm bored. I'm going to have to call Rowiin around to play some Dungeons and Dragons sometime.
This weekend will not be a good time for it however, since a lot of relatives are coming over and my Mom needs to unwind because being a teacher on the last days of school is majorly stressful. I also plan on celebrating my freedom by getting a new Dungeons and Dragons book. Either Complete Divine or Expanded Psionics Handbook, I don't know if I can talk mom into getting me both. Of course, it would probubly be wiser to just get Monster Manual. I better get around to getting that summer job.
Anyway, I am also working on my future-history, which I call The Saga of Man, since the saga of man sounds cooler then future history. I'm concentrating on the Last Dance Revolution era, which is somewhere between 2062-2069. There's this whole concept about the end of american civilization and stuff like that. Steph, once I transport teh infromation from my laptop to a computer with internet, I'll want you to look over it. Mom and Dad, I'd let you read over it but as you know our printers on the fritz.
Another project I'm working on is that I'm creating the first ever Encyclopedia Mythania. It's not going to be a proper Encyclopedia, as I'm basing the structure on my Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting Book, with different sections for Races, Geography (seperated by nations and regions), Religion and such. I also am adding alot of new stuff to Mythania, for instance I made up a species called the nyhib'ru and added a religion known as The Church of the Devine Flame, which is going to be something of a cross between Islam and Zoroastrianism. Originally it was just going to be Mythania's equivalent to Islam, but the use of a flame was just crying for Zoroatrianism. I won't be posting anything about Mythania here, but you can hope for some pictures.
Gotta go. Need to learn about Zoroastrianism.

Captain, The bridge is officially burned

I don't know where I heard the phrase "we'll burn that bridge when we come to it," but I have officially burned the bridge that is Grade 11. I finished my art exam awhile back and that makes me happy. Incidently, Courbet painted The Stone-Breakers, not Winslow Homer. I hate Realism.
Of course, know I have two whole months of summer and nothing to do. I've got a few ideas on what to do. For one thing I picked up a few movies at the Library to watch. I also have got alot of books to read. Let's see if I can finish That Hideous Strength this summer, as well as all the short stories in the Sherlock Holmes book. Hm, combined with the four novels I have on the go, I could probubly finish that in a month, including the time I've got know. Also, I have some friends to play Dungeons and Dragons with. Oh, and me and my mom are going to pick up some painting materials so I can do some painting. I enjoy the medium of painting. That and I'm writing a novel.
What I'd like to do is start a magazine. I don't know why, but it sounds like a great idea to me. If I can find enough people who will want to get into it I think I may be able to pull it off. Still, this is just an idea and I don't know if I'll go through with it.
Anyway, I feel like talking about stuff I'm going to paint. I really liked how the self-portrait I did in the psychedelic format turned out, so I'm going to do some stuff in that style. Not self-portraits mind you, but just people. I've got something like that for Alan Moore that I'd like to work on. I also plan on doing a portrait of Ralph, which I would hang over my fire place if I had one. I'm also thinking about doing pictures of scenes from books. There are alot of pictures I'd like to do. Here's a list. I like list.
  • A picture of Roland at the beginning of The Dark Tower series, just so I can get a picture of Roland in my head (The Dark Tower Series, by Stephen King)
  • Picture of Walter O'Dim reading Roland's fortune via Tarot Cards (The Dark Tower Series, by Stephen King)
  • Detta Walker (The Dark Tower Series, by Stephen King)
  • A picture of Elric at the beginning of Elric of Melnibone (Elric Saga, by Michael Moorcock)
  • Elric and Yrykoon fighting with Stormbringer and Mournblade (Elric Saga, by Michael Moorcock)
  • Individual pictures of The Pilgrims on a white background (Hyperion, by Dan Simmons)
  • Dread learning out of an Ally, looking very frightning and predator look (Otherland, by Tad Williams)
  • Kunohara with a giant butterfly (Otherland, by Tad Williams)
That's a list of what I want to do. The picture of Roland is a definete must for me, as is Dread. I hope that I can get copies on here for you guys.

I found my Mp3 player

Yes. Huzah. My Mp3 player was in my art binder all the time.
So, summer is here and I am almost done exams. All I need to do is one on Art. I got the really tought ones out of the way (English and Humanities) and let me tell you that was really frustrating. Humanities took me to around four because I couldn't remember anything I learned. I also yelled at my EA alot because I was frustrated. My mom says that I should bring her a bottle of Fat Bastard wine to her and apologize for being one.
Lets see, I am ten dollars richer. So know I have 10 dollars. That is good.
I have discovered that I hate Paladins. Their codes are to damanding so I am making my character Kulder into a cleiric of Tyr. That is all. Bye.

Fathers Day, Dungeons and Dragons and a look at my multiverse.

I hate heat, I really do. I hate being hot and sweaty and I hate being in rooms that make me hot and sweaty. That is one of the reasons I didn't have much fun today at school. The other being I went to an assembly and I HATE going to assemblies, they leave me with a bad mood and silent anger that lurks in the back of my soul like some ancient Lovecraftian thing. Also, I don't enjoy school. Oh, and I lost my Mp3 player somewhere. Damn.
Anyway, This weekend Rowiin was able to come over and play some Dungeons and Dragons. Nothing important happened except that Rowiin the Drow and Kulder were able to prove their innocents and our heros took down the leader of an orc clan, making Kulder the leader. I am officially not playing as Kulder anymore, since his Lawful Good alighnment is going against the Chaotic Good alighment majority. That's the annoying thing about Paladins. They can only hang out with Lawful Good characters, unless your using varient rules from Unearthed Arcana of course but were not going there. I plan on bringing Nai'Atha Farwalker back into play, since he's of a Chaotic Good alighment.
Also, it was father's day. My father was given new man tools (i.e. BQ equipment) and on Sunday we went to his parents house for a swim. I was really worn out after the swimming. I also had some good coffee cake.
Well, in the world of my Mythos I have come up with a naming system inspired from some Jet Lee movie(or Bruce Lee, I was just watching it because nothing else was on) called "The One". The basic plot is that there's this multiverse and a bunch of people who inforce the law on it, and there's this one guy (Jet Lee) who kills the alternate versions of himself in the universe because it make's him stronger and faster and stuff. I really didn't care for it that much, but the naming system for the various universes was pretty cool, Anubis Universe, Hades Universe. Those are all I can remember. Anyway, I'm agusting it to alternate Earths. This is a sample of what I got so far.

Avalon Earth
Most developed Technology:
Pre-Industrial
Magic:
High content
Dominant Religions: Christianity, Paganism (Celtic Pantheon)
Africa and Middle East: Politics based around this area, mainly in Northern Africa. This is because Rome south to Africa in this universe. The dominant religion is Christianity, which is spread into two branches. Alexandrian Catholisism (The Roman Catholic Church moved to Alexandria) and a form of Protestantism. Islam didn't develop in this universe and if you ask who the Prophet Muhammad was your likely to get a confused answer. The dominant nation is Ethiopia, which controls most of the world, but is slowly giving way to the colonies in North and South America.
Europe: Overlaps with the Realm of Faerie, protecting it from Etheopia. Europe is ruled by the Celtic Gods who have maintained a hold here based in Ireland and Britain. The human natives are largely celts (most of the Germanic tribes moved to the middle east and africa. The closets thing to Germany is somewhere in Turkey). This is also the location of the Holy Grail. Areas such as Italy, Spain and Southern France which are not under Tuatha De'Danann rule were open to African and Middle-Eastern Invasions and ironically for us, lead to slavery of many Europeans, who were looked at as savage. They are still looked at by the dominant African government as barbaric, but not when they are in the presence of the Tuatha De' Danann.
North and South America: Colonies of Persia and Etheopia. America is still looked upon as a frontier. Europeans are kept as slaves. There are several break away republics.

Elysium Earth
Technology:
Highly advanced medical treatment. Hydrogen cars. Very futuristic.
Magic Level: Not very prominent
This is basically and Earth where everything is just peachy. There's no war or disease, nobody's poor, nobody bugs you about your race or religion or anything and the Beatles are still together. It basically changed from our own during WW1, when the British and German soldiers desided that enough was enough and stopped shotting at each other. This set of a chain reaction that would lead to peace suddenly breaking out across the world and the Founding of the Human Foundation, which ran most of Europe and America. During the thirties many racial and religious barriers were brought down. (Mahatma Gandhi was almost elected Chairman of the Human Foundation, but he decliened). The Beatles still managed to get together somehow, wrote more or less all the same songs and are still making albums which are sold through out the Multiverse by the Guild. The Human Foundation is based in London, England.

That's basically it, except for the Naos Earth (my Saga of Man Future-History) and Jehovah Earth (my urban fantasy universe). There is also a Lovecraft Earth (In which the writtings of H.P. Lovecraft are a reality), but it plays an over all minor role in my Mythos.
Since I got time to fiddle around on the library computer some more. I'll come up with some other ideas.
  • A universe where a Jewish scientist (not Albert Einstein, but similar) became Leader of Israel, and turned it into a technological utopia. (possoble names, Hephesteus Earth)
  • A universe where everything sucks to contrast Elysium Earth. Whole planet's pretty much a desert.
Can't think of anything else. That's it. Any questions.

20 more days and I'll have 300 posts

Wow. I'm doing this from home. Excellent.
And know, Blog Things.

You Belong in Paris

You enjoy all that life has to offer, and you can appreciate the fine tastes and sites of Paris.
You're the perfect person to wander the streets of Paris aimlessly, enjoying architecture and a crepe.

Ah, I wanted Rome. Awhile, Paris sounds cool too.

You Are Bert

Extremely serious and a little eccentric, people find you loveable - even if you don't love them!
You are usually feeling: Logical - you rarely let your emotions rule you
You are famous for: Being smart, a total neat freak, and maybe just a little evil
How you life your life: With passion, even if your odd passions (like bottle caps and pigeons) are baffling to others

Ironically, Bert may also be an Aspie.

You Are Cyclops

Dedicated and responsible, you will always remain loyal to your cause.
You are a commanding leader - after all, you can kill someone just by looking at them.
Power: force beams from your eyes

Fairly indifferent to the outcome.
Well, nothing much has happened over the weekend. I tried to talk my sister into playing some D&D with me because I’m addicted to the game. (I’m thinking about creating a Dungeons and Dragons campaign setting with elements from The Dark Tower series by Stephen King, so I can combine two obsessions with one). I also almost sent some of my art into a contest but didn’t, which is a shame because I could have won. And some relatives came over and we watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Today I’ve pretty much sat around the house and done nothing.
Oh I can barely wait till summer.

I survived an exam (and possiblt, the apocalypse)

Well, as many of you may or may not know, many people were really nervous because the numerical date for June 6, 2006 is 666, the number of the beast. As you can see, nothing has happened. However, my dad made a comment that maybe June 6, 2006 is just the day the antichrist is born. Using this logic however, Christ will be reborn on July 7, 2007.
Either way, I am thrilled that the world hasn't ended yet, because I didn't do much that day.
What was really scary was that I had to do an essay yesterday. It was in English and I found it very frustrating. My EA had to take me outside and tell me to focus and stop destracting people. To tell you the truth I didn't really care. I just want to get this whole Grade 11 thing over with.
Also, it will please Steph to know that I am reading a Charles De Lint novel. It is called The Onion Girl. I find it very good. I would also appreciate it if Steph could give me some ideas on what else to read by him.
Lastly, There will be a big art thing for youth held tomorrow to show of art they have done and I'm going. I have got four real art pieces and some sketch books. I plan on getting into visual arts more, especially painting since I really enjoy that. My Mom and Dad want me to do a some pictures of my two sisters in the same format I did a self-portrait of myself (In a psychedelic pattern. I really hope to work more in this medium) and I also want to do a portrait of Ralph.
Well, that's all folks.

Used Bookstores have got more soul

Music: The Rolling Stones
Well, I got English homework.
I probubly shouldn't complain about it, but I hate homework. I really do. Who dosn't hate homework. Let's see, I have to type up a bit on how the witches in Macbeth create a supernatural tension, which shouldn't be to hard and I have to do a write up on the first three chapters of Broken Ground. Mainly stuff about the characters. This all has to get in by tomorrow.
And I of course am at the library typing away.
There's something about the witches that facinates me. I think it may be that I have this picture of them in my head. There's this scene where Banquo or someone gives this description of the witches and they all got beards and a sort of fish like apperance. It's really facinating. There's also this Hecate chick who's their god or something, but she only appears in two scenes and there is a brief refrence to her in the dagger soliloquy. Other then that we don't learn much else about her. Shakesphere may be considered a creative genius, but I find that his stories have some minor flaws.
I've been walking around the library in a sort of zen state and I got the idea of writing something based on Macbeth. It would be grounded in my Mythos, but would deal around a similar plot to Macbeth. I've seen stuff like this before, so I could probubly get away with it. I'm not saying this is going to be my Magnum Opus (or Magnificent Orifice ,Blackadder's Third, Episode 2. Ink and Incapability), but it may work for some interesting reading. I'd appreciate feedback.
Well, yesterday was the really important one. I went over to London (London, Ontario) to go to this thing to help Aspies get jobs. My mom came with me, because I'm not old enough to get important documents on myself sighned without a parent or guardian present. The person there was really nice and asked me a bunch of questions on what I see myself doing and my medical condition and I was really calm about it. (There's' this guy beside me playing some game about exploding cows. I don't like it since I find it crude).
But the best part was I got to go to this nifty used book store, where I got the first three books in the Elric Saga by Micheal Moorcock (Finally) and some books on how to speak Klingon. The book store was very good and I hope to go back soon.
We also went to Chapters to please my little sister Sprite, who came along because we didn't have anywhere else to put her. I got a Dungeons and Dragons magazine and a book on Romatic Poets. I'm really into Romantic Poets for some reason. I have a book of poems by Lord Byron out from the public library.
Plans for another Dungeons and Dragons game with Rowiin are going underway. We don't have a specific date, but I will get the information tomorrow.
Also, I noticed that there is a play based on H.G. Welles The Invisible Man somewhere. I should check it out and see if I can talk my mom and me to go.
Well, that about wraps things up.

The Continuation of Rowiin and Mine's D&D campaign

Well, Rowiin came for Dungeons and Dragons yesterday. We are both working two characters each, since I wrote one up a character since we spend so much time in the wildreness. This is our adventuring party so far.
  • Kulder Palecastle, Lawful-Good Half-Orc Paladin(level 2) and Cleric(level 1) of Tyr, I'm pretty sure that Kulder is the leader of the party since he lead the expidition to Bored Kobold Dungeon. He was brought up in your standard orc tribe, but converted to the faith of Tyr because of the cleric Talis Stormriver. Talis has unfortuantly been murdered by the cleric of his former tribe and Kulder's mission is to extract retribution and regain his possision as leader of the orc tribe, hopefully leading them away from the faith of the Orc God Gruumsh and to the faith of Tyr.
  • Rowiin, Chaotic Good Drow Rouge (level 2) Rowiin is a drow rouge who Kulder hired to pick locks in Bored Kobold Dungeon. He seems to have slight kleptomania and is a follower of (hope I spell this right) Eilastrea (didn't), who is the goddess of good alighned drow.
  • Marek, Lawful Neutral Fire Genasii Monk (level 2) Rowiin's other character, Marek is a quite and withdrawn individual from far and exotic Calimshan. I don't really know what else to say about him except he's the only person in the group with an abbility modifier that goes into the negatives (his charisma if your wondering. That isn't really important to a monk if your wondering).
  • Relander, Chaotic Neutral Moon Elf Ranger (level 2) and Elf Paragon (level 1), Relander is my new character. I created him because we needed somebody who knew how to live in the wilderness. The idea behind him was to be a sort of Clint Eastwood Man-with-no-name personality which may have something to do with my Dark Tower obsession and the fact that The Good, The Bad and The Ugly is an awesome movie. I'm not going to talk much about his past, but I do plan on cross-classing him with a wizard and then giving him the Arcane Archer Prestige class. May take awhile since I would like him to have 5 levels in Ranger, 5 in Wizard, 3 in Elf Paragon and then 10 in Arcane Archer. This will take alot of time, I realize but really I don't care how many levels of Arcane Archer I get as long as I have it. Still, I think Relander may become one of my major characters. At the end, I'm changing his alignment to Chaotic Good.
  • Fang, an orc we picked up in an attack. He's really just a minor NPC at the moment, but Kulder is trying to convert him. I plan on him becoming a follower of Kulder when he reaches level 6 and gets the leadership feat.
Well, what happened in the campaign you ask? Well, Kulder went to Dundragon Castle, a village near Bored Kobold Dungeon, which they were exploring last time. At Dundragon Castle they met Talis, a cleric who finansed the expedition to the Dungeon. Unfortunatly, Talis was murdered by a group of orcs and Kudler and Rowiin were framed because the locals don't trust half-orcs and drow. An anonymous stranger helped them escape through a secret passageway. Once they were outside, Rowiin went back into Dundragon Castle and recruted Marek and Relander.
Once they came back, they went back into Bored Kobold Dungeon were they found some journals written in Dwarven (Bored Kobold Dungeon was originally a Dwarven city). The dwarven journals spoke mysteriously of the Kobold invasion and refrences to something called Zeltorzane. After exploring a bit of the dungeon, they found the former leader of the dwarves who lived here, who was turned into a Lich to entertain Kurtuluk the Mad, the leader of the Kobolds. After destroying the lifesource of this lichs as a mersy killing, they found and armoury and every one got new weapons (except for Marek, who got a belt of giants strength).
Relander brought up two important points. 1) if Kurtuluk could turn the dwarf cheiftan into a lich, then why wouldn't he turn himself into a lich and 2) he knows that orcs under Krayk, an Orc Cleric of Gruumsh, hade Talis assasinated. Kulder reveals his ties to Krayk's tribe (he is hereditary leader) and retribution against Krayk.
Because the heroes can't go back to Dundragon Castle, they go to Moonvale, a community of elven and Good-alighned drow that lives in the forest. Relander is on good terms with the leader, a female drow cleric of that good drow goddess I told you about, and a member of the Harpers. (The Harpers are a secret society who's goals are to protect culture and good things). The heroes ask her if she knows anything about Zeltorzane, but she refuses to answer anything. Relander also talks with her alone on a personal matter that remains a mystery to the rest of the group.
After this our heros made an attack on an orc post. They were able to take one captive named Fang. Fang informed them that they were in relations with a Kobold Lich operating out of Bored Kobold Dungeon. This Kobold Lich (Presumably Kurtuluk the Mad). Kulder takes Fang with him, much to the arguement of Relander who dosn't trust him.
After this our heroes go back to Moonvale, regroup and make another expedition to Bored Kobold Dungeon. Relander discovers that Zeltorzane was a Red Dragon that helped the Kobolds invade the dwarven city. There is also information that Kurtuluk was a member of the Cult of the Dragon (a secret society bent on bringing about the reign of Undead Dragons) and may have turned Zeltorzane into an undead lich. The heros find a small bunker for what appears to belong to a Cult of the Dragon shelter. Strangely, a statue of an undead dragon has a pile of holy symbols of nearly every god in the Forgotten Realms and a symbol of the Cult of the Dragon.
Rowiin had to leave then, we will learn more next sitting. Except me because I'm the Dungeon master and already know what will happen.
In other news, I am finished my Independent Study and don't have to redo my Gender Roles assignment that I didn't do right. Exams are coming up quickly and I wait with anticipation for it all to be over. I hope summer can come soon so I can have a better degree of freedom, which I will spend here at the Library.
Well, that's about it. Keep Grovin'

how to end it...how to end it...how to end it...

Hello, you may be interested to now that I am writing this from my home computer, yeah. Things have revereted back to their normal state.
I've made arrangements with Rowiin, who you may remember is the guy I'm playing Dungeons and Dragons with now, and there is a chance that we will be able to play a game later today. I'm looking forward to it and have to figure out what we are going to do in this one. I'm thinking about playing of the fact that are characters are usually associated with evilness, and want to explore that theme as we go. I also have a bit of a problem as my character is a Paladin and isn't really allowed to associate much with people who are not lawful-good, but I figure that our charcaters will be forced together because of prejudices so that works out pretty nicely.
Anyway, I need to get my homwork done today. I have to finish up the last paragraph on my independent study and I have completely no idea what to right. I do not believe I have correctly done my reaserch or my hypothesis and I have to get it in by tommorrow. I really want to get this done because I really want to play some Dungeons and Dragons. I've been like this for most of the weekend. I asked my sister Dilila if she would like to play and she said no, and even caved in to ask my little sister Sprite if she wanted to play but apparently the stuff I play is to scary. If only I had a little brother who understood character development and fantasy who I could play D&D with. Ah well, can't choose your family.
Got to finish this stupid essay. Bye.

Highlights of the Three-Day Weekend and other success

Well, desipte a bit of an incident on monday this was a good three day weekend.
First, I was able to go to the best bookstore in the world, The Book Vault and bought myself a guide to the classic british comedy series Blackadder, a must see, the really long copy of Stephen King's The Stand, and a bunch of Magic: The Gathering cards. Relatives also came over that day and brought ice cream cake which we got to keep. We also watched volumes 3-5 of Samurai 7, an anime series based on the Japanese action movie The Seven Samurai, which inspired the western The Magnificent Seven, and lead to the Stephen King novel The Wolves of Calla, book five in the Dark Tower series. I found this out on the internet and ruined the surprise for myself. Anyway, they left us on quite of a cliff hanger at the end of volume 5 which I won't get into know because I would have to explain to much, but know I have to wait to find Volume 6. I suspect that there is also a volume 7 out there somewhere. Anyway, Samurai 7 is really, really cool and you should see it if you have the means.
Anyway, school work is chugging along nicely. I only have three days to get a fair knowledge of Impressionism in Art. Impressionism is very cool and concentrates alot on bright colours. I think I'll work that into my art. Impressionism is also based on painting things you see, which I'm not praticularly into since most of the stuff I draw is stuff I make up, and isn't very concerned on realistic portrayals, which I want to do to make my creatures more realistic.
In English we did some acting of Macbeth. The basic idea was that we were suppose to translate the lines of our characters into modern English and then act it out. I think I was pretty good at getting the emotions for my character right, and I'm considering a career in acting to go along with my writing.
And in case you were wondering, I was Macbeth. So I got some good emotional play. I was seeing ghosts and freaking out. I don't know if exactly how I would react to ghosts, I suppose that depends on the temperment of the ghost.
Anyway, that's all. Going to look at books know.

Three Day Weekend

Music Liseaning To: How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb, U2
I have recently discovered something very important about how my emotions work. I seem to go through a long period of depression, followed by a long period of irrational happiness. This is something that I need to keep in mind.
Exams are coming up slowly. It's not really bothering me that much. I've seem to have entered a zen-like state of living in the moment. I don't think I have it quite to the degree I would like, because of interference in school but if I work on it hard enough I may be able to write some zen journal.
But enough of that, I have been informed of two conspiracies that must be told to the world.
First, the Illuminati are alive and well and infultrating the Vatican. I saw it on a documentary about Angels and Demons, that book by Dan Brown and it said that the Illuminati are infultrating the Vatican via the KGB to control the Catholic World. I don't know all the details, but I'm going to look up the Illuminati on Wikipedia. I wouldn't worry about it, since if the Illuminati are the big scary secret society I've heard of then they wouldn't let something major like this go down.
Second, Schools are conformity factories. They may hide it behind a Fundamentalist curtain, but it is really a way for Rich White Men (who are straight) to stay in power. I know because my teacher told me.
Students of the world, I emplore you. Question your teachers. Correct them when the purnonce the name of some Greek Playwright. Run naked through the streets. Think for yourselves. They can't get all of us, and remember, while your out fighting the revolution we'll be right behind you thinking what a sucker you are.
That last line was taken loosely from Duck Soup, my favorite Marx Brother's movie. I'm not sure how to describe the plot, but Mussolini hated it because he thought it was a personal insult (I don't think it was, but the Marx Brothers were thrilled to here it). Really don't worry about the plot. Plot is secondary in Marx Brother's films.
Still, I am serious about the whole questioning of your teachers. At least if you got any. Really, I think you should just question any authority. As far as I'm conserned that's what they are their for.
Well, that's about it. Bye bye. See you tommorrow. I've got to go read up on the Illuminati.

What's going on with Writer

I finished Anthem. It was a really short book, but I found it good. It's basically an idea book that preaches against collectivism, and I got that bit really clearly.
Anyway, I'm trugging along thru school to the best of my abbilities. I have to translate a scene from Macbeth into plan English and I've got to get Broken Ground all wrapped up before I go into full swing on my independent study. The good thing about today was that we got to read for a bit of First Period. I read The Waste Lands, which is the third book in the Dark Tower Series. This is a stream of conciousness post by the way. I'm writting this all out as one big paragraph.
You know what, screw the whole big paragraph thing.
I'm liseaning to Rush on my Mp3 player. The song I am liseaning to is 2112, of the album of the same name. It's a short rock opera type thing about a guy who discovers a guitar and takes it before the council of his people, who reject it because they are a totalitarian society. The writer gives credit to Ayn Rand for helping him come up with the idea and elements of the story are similar to Anthem. I have thought of making this into a Flash Cartoon, but it is a really long song.
I'm currently on borrowed time on this computer. The guy who was using it got of early so I'm getting some extra time. Apparently his is almost up.
Let's see, what else can I say?
Well, I'm working on some pictures of the species of Mythania, my constructed world that I have not gone into any great detail upon. I'll see if I can get them on here for all you guys to look at via the internet at my school. I'll be working on something about the Impressionist period though, so it may be awhile. I promise you that they will be up by the end of school (for me)

What I did for Mother's Day.

I'm writing this at my town's public library. It is getting incresingly hard to conect to the internet from my home so I figured that I should use the computers here at the library. This will mean that I won't be able to get pictures up, but I may find a way around this.
So yesterday was Mother's Day. I had to go to two mother's day things. The first was for my mother's parents and we went to a hotel resturaunt in Waterloo to have Brunch. I kind of embarrased my family by lying down in on the table. I didn't climb onto the table, I just had to recline which I wasn't able to do in those terribly uncomfortable chairs. Dad says that I have to realize that "It's not about me,". I felt sorry when I realized that I was making people feel bad (At least that was the vibe I got from dad) and I think that I need to downsize my ego. I understand that there is a Hindu practice for that, and as a bonus you gain enlightenment or something. I think that I'm going to have to look into this.
Afrer thus their was a breif period of time at home, where I read some of Broken Ground. I'm going to have to read more of that today at home. This took an hour of my time and then I was off to my father's parents.
Being at my father's parents house was okay. There's something about my father's side of the family that I like, I don't know why. Anyway, I had to do the dishes afterwards and my dad got some pictures that he did of Neil Young when he was around my age. There pretty cool. Counicidently, I'm liseaning to Neil Young on my Mp3 player.
(I'ved said that I have an Mp3 player, right? My mom and dad got me one for Christmas)
Anyway, there is nothing much else to say except that somebody shot a polar bear/grizzly hybrid somewhere in Nunavut or something. Whether this new hybrid is breed for it's skills in magic is so far uncertain. That is an allusion for people who have not seen Napolean Dynamite. Steph, I'm looking at you.
I'm hungry.
I also picked up a book while I was hear called Anthem, by Ayn Rand. I've heard alot about this Ayn Rand person and I figured I should read her work, since I don't read enough works by women. I don't really read anything by women. If anyone has any suggestions for me that will be welcomed.
Okay, that's it just let me get a link for the Grizlar Bear.
Done, see yeah. Hope this new arrangement works.

Mother's Day is Tomorrow (I don't give you grief for your titles)

I cannot say that I have enjoyed school this past week. I have been forced to redo that gender roles research that I found very frustrating and I had a breakdown in the middle of English because of it. I also have to read this book called Broken Ground, which is about these soldiers from World War One who are put in this really bad piece of land and try to live as farmers. I don’t like it that much, so it’s probably good I need to finish it in the next two weeks.
In the mean time I’m trying to keep my spirits up. I just made a trip to the public library were I picked up The Essential Ellison(which is a bunch of short stories by a guy called Harlan Ellison, I’m not very familiar with his work) and some stuff by Michael Moorcock, who I fell I should read more of. I also got a whole wack of CDS, including the one for the musical Spamalot, based on Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
That’s all that has really happened to me, except my EA let me borrow her Tarot Cards. They are the Rider-Waite deck. I like tarot cards mainly because they were in a bit of The Gunslinger (Book 1 in The Dark Tower series) and they play a prominent role in Alan Moore’s Promethea, which is one of his best works. If anyone has a chance to read this do it. It is a great series and the artwork is fantastic.
Okay, that’s all.

Could America soon become facist?

I'm making this post at my public library. I just read this article in the magazine "Adbusters" about how America is becoming facist and it really scarred me. Here are some of the signs that America is becoming facist according to the article.
  • loyalty and strong sense of duty to group, which overrides universal or individual rights. You also use the term "the subordination of the individual to it;" which I think means complete obedience to the dicatator your under.
  • Believing that your group is a victim, which justifies doing really bad things to them, sort of like how the Nazi's were mean to the Jews because they thought the Jews were stealing their money.
  • fear of foreign ideas and ideas that go against their belief system.
  • need for a comftorble homoginized society, this can be any were between consent or violent methods.
  • believing that the leader's instincts are better the leader's reason.
  • Viewing the weak with contempt, assosiating feminity with weakness and glorifying masculinity.
  • viewing enemies as vermin and identifying with nation's enemies.
  • leaving immigrants, gay men and lesbians, and liberals out of important things and not letting them do things that they (the rich white straight guys) enjoy doing.
This article also goes on to say that it is very lickly that America can become a facist nation in the future. I find this very freightning because I don't think I can live under a facist nation, since I'm very left-wing in my views and would probubly be sent to a concentration camp and be killed and everything I ever write will be burned. I know anything with Naos in it will be very anti-establishment and Mythania has a very pro-homosexual religion (you'd have to be when your gods are a same-sex couple). I know I live in Canada and not America, but Canada seems to be following America's political views (we have a concervative government and are in the middle of our own war that I don't think is a good idea), and if Canada does break away from America's shadow we could always end up being Poland to America's Nazi Germany.
I'm scared humanity. I'm scared shitless. I don't want to die in a concentration camp and I don't want to see people die in concentration camps. Seeing people suffer makes me feel sad, unless of course I'm doing it in which case I don't notice. I just want people to stop fighting. Dear God, stop the fighting.
Sorry, I'm just going to finsih this article. Here are things that havn't happened yet among the American government, but we should all keep an eye on and try to stop.
  • The agenda is not revolutionary. If it was really facist it would be saying that they are doing some sort of revolution.
  • America is starting to become a one-party system, but it is not a dictator ship. If Bush calls to become President for Life, we know we're in trouble.
  • It dosn't rely on bullying people, yet.
  • American democracy has not yet reached the stage of chaos needed for facism to really take route and fester.
I hope that everyone is getting my message, especially someone important and I sure hope that we won't need V.

Probubly the longest time I had gone without blogging

Alright, I’ve put this of to long.
First, I feel swamped with school work. I’m reading an incredibly boring book called Broken Ground about a bunch of soldiers from WWI who have to live on a really bad piece of land with their families. I don’t like this novel at all, and I can’t wait to get the stupid thing over with. I also have difficulty keeping all the characters straight. This isn’t my kind of novel.
I also have to do an independent study. I chose to do how teenagers create subcultures to rebel against adults and give their lives meaning. I plan on doing studies into subcultures such as Goth and Punk which I can do quite easily as there are a few at my school. I also plan on doing some studies of counter-culture in the 50's and 60's, since I have some information on that. The project is very frustrating.
Last, I’m studying Macbeth and that is okay since I don’t have anything against Shakespeare (or Sir Francis Bacon, just in case). There is also a painting I’m doing for Art, but that’s not homework.
On the subject of Art, my parents want me to do paintings of my sisters because of a self-portrait I did. The portrait has a Psychedelic feel to it and I plan on getting around to it as soon as I get the boards ready and primed.
I think my little sister wants to get on the computer I’m using so she can play The Sims. She seems to be making annoying noises to bug me off. I’m wearing my MP3 player though. Of course, knowing her she’s probably just doing it for no reason.
What I really would like to do is do some reading and some writing. I picked up some new books at my school library and I’d like to read them some time today. In case your wondering they are an anthology of Australian Science Fiction and a bunch of stories from the Cthulhu Mythos by August Derleth who took over writing the Mythos after Lovecraft died.
Besides that nothing much has happened. I did a test on Neoclassism and Romantism in Art, which I think I got but other then that I’ve just been sitting around the house feeling depressed and hammering out the details for my fantasy world. I’ve been really keen on doing that.
Well, I’ll get back to you guys some time.
Oh, and exams are coming up again.

The D&D game and, ur, all the other stuff

Sorry I didn’t write back on the D&D and stuff. I’ve been rather busy not doing my homework.
My friend, who will be known as Rowiin, since that is the name of his character (who is a drow rouge if your curious). We did a standard dungeon crawl and fought a bunch of kobold zombies. I plan on building in more complex story lines into this campaign. It will involve a small town called Dun dragon Castle. I plan on writing an epic poem to go with it.
So, The weekend was spent getting my homework done and going to see the Lord of The Rings musical in Toronto. It was very impressive, but it would help you a lot if you read the book before you saw it, because it is very hard to understand it without knowing the plot. If you do get a chance to see it, go and do it. It is great.
So, today was pretty usual. I'm starting to write my Dorian Gray essay, and I'm going to do some studies for my humanities class asighnment. In the mean time I'm trying to get some pictures from my Italy and Greece trip to the teacher who was running it so he can put it on the show. It is taking way to much time.
Well, thats about it.

Easter and Homework and upcoming D&D with a player besides my little sister (Huzah)

Hey, how’s it hanging?
Well, bunch of relatives came over for Easter. The party was my dad’s side of the family and we watched The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. I also had much chocolate and ate my entire source in one day. I also got a bunch of cards about classic novels and a necklace of an ankh. I’m going to put a picture of an ankh under this, because Steph gave me directions on how to do that and I want to see if I can get it right.

HUZAH!!!!!! Huzah is a new word that I will use to express victory. Get used to it.

In other news, I have joined an internet Aspie forum. They call themselves the Tribe of the Aspie-Geeks. The subjects are very interesting and I think that this will be a good experience for me. I also put out a post on a dungeons and dragons forum and got two answers. I don’t know about joining any of them yet, but they seem interesting.
In other news I am beginning a massive independent studies project in Sociology, Anthropology and Psychology. I plan on doing it on teenage-subcultures using movies and real life studies as my main sources. I want to do this because I get to watch a bunch of movies and this subject sounds kind of interesting.
Finally, I have begun my first Dungeons and Dragons game without Loncrow, Ruric or Sprite. It will all go down on Thursday. So far all I know is that it will take place in the Northern lands of the Forgotten Realms and my character will be a Half-Orc Paladin named Kulder Palecastle. I’ll tell you all about it and see if I can’t get an epic poem out of it.
Well, got lot’s of stuff to do. I’ll get back to you on the D&D.

Project Teddy Bear

Hey, I saw this linked to Neil Gaiman's blog and thought it was pretty nifty. Go see now.

I want to play D&D

For most of today, I wanted to play Dungeons and Dragons. This was a problem, since I didn’t have anyone to play with except my little sister, Sprite. I just tried playing a game with her and I didn’t enjoy it at all. I have discovered two thing about this. One is not to play D&D with your little sister and second is that I hate being the Dungeon Master. As Dungeon Master I have to pay attention to all the little things and that drives me insane. I would rather just play as a character.
For this, I am writing a post on a Dungeons and Dragons Google Group. In it I ask for any help on getting into an online group. I hope that will give me some help in finding a group to play D&D with.
In the school front, I have to find examples of how men are portrayed in the Media (on commercials) and I have to come up with something to write a really big and important paper on. I find this frustrating since I don’t like working.
Okay, bye. Happy easter.

Can’t talk for long. My mom and me are doing that essay. I was sick for most of the weekend and didn’t do a thing about it. Apparently I didn’t understand anything about the essay and I’m now in a mad rush to get it done. I feel very frustrated. I don’t know what to do.
Hope to see you soon, Writer.

Five hundred years of Art History, Oy

I'm doing an essay in art and it's due tomorrow. The whole dang thing is due tomorrow. Well, I've got an extention because of my Individual Education Plan (IEP), I get an extention till Wednesday. I don't know if this is fair to the other kids, so I'm hoping that they don't read this blog. I'm going to try and get it done tonight though, or at least the rough draft.
The basic idea behind this essay is that I have to choose three different genres of art and write an essay on how they have changed from pretty much every art period between High Renaissance to Impressionist, so basically five hundred years. I find this entire procedure very frustrating and wish to end this whole thing soon.
I find life very frustrating because I have been given a lot of assignments and am doing more homework in one week then I usually do in a month. I'd like a little time out to do some work of my own, like short stories or coming up with an idea for a graphic novel. Sometimes I'd just like to go to a place were I can do things at my own pace.
Anyway, In Psychology, Sociology and Anthropology I am learning about rights of passage. Me and another kid from this class have been assigned with coming up with our own right of passage. It basically consists of going into the wilderness, staying there for a month and then killing the biggest animal you can find, kill it and bring in back to the tribe were there's a big party.
My mom's going on about something. I'm a little confused. I saw something cooking, so we can't be going out. Just got the information, Mom and Dad are going to a flooring store.

Day 2, First Day in Rome

We got off at Leonardo Da Vinci Air Port were we met our tour guide, who will be called A.B. because tourist guide guild laws in Italy are very strick and she could get caught for guiding without a lisence and go to jail, so it added a suspence to the entire trip, especially when we were in front of the Italian parliment.
My first impression of the inner city of Rome was amazement. I figured Rome would have a sort of pride like America, but it was more of an old grandpa who jokes around with you. It was very nice, and we got to see alot of stuff that I forgot the name of, but I was able to get the names of the internet.
The first thing we saw was the Monument of Vittorio Emanuele II, who was the first King of Italy. See, a long time ago, Italy was seperated into several diffrent city states that fought and argued alot and then they decided to unite under King Victor Emanuel II, or he took over or something like that. Anyway, they built the Monument, also known as the Altare della Patrica as a monument to him. It is not really looked at very keenly by the people of Rome, who think it looks over done and like a giant typewriter. Nearbye was the old Embassy for Venice, and these nifty buildings that I unfortunatly forgot the name and purpose of. We also saw this cool building that I forgot the name of, but deserves it's own section.
For this portion of the tour we hade to walk everywere because the inside of the city is off limits to cars. This is because the drivers in Italy are insane. The people of Rome probubly all have Uncanny Dodge to keep out of the way of cars. I liked there system alot more then ours though.
After that we went to the Trevi Fountain, which was built to celebrate the creation of a new water source the Romans found during the Baroque period. According to local tradition, if you throw one coin into the Trevi Founatin, you will come back to Rome. If you throw two coins in the fountain, you find your true love in Rome and if you throw three coins in the Trevi Founatain you will get married in Rome. I only threw one coin in, because I don't want to deal with the complications of true love on my trip. There were also a bunch of middle-eastern guys who were trying to sell us these weird little clay balls that they made into ducks and breasts and things. I hade lunch near the Trevi Fountain at this great little pizza place, hade the best pizza in my life and got locked in the stall. This happened to me alot in the trip, I'm afraid.
From there we walked to the Pantheon, which was an ancient temple to all the gods in ancient Roman times. I didn't see any ancient gods, at least they didn't show themselves, but I did see the burial place of Raphael, a famous High Renisaunce painter who did the School of Athens. There was another important guy buried here, but I can't remember him of the top of my head. According to Wikipedia, King Victor Emanuel is also buried here.
Outside the Pantheon, we saw this old lady who was begging for money. She was having a lot of difficulty standing up. Some of the kids called her a "gypsy faker," because A.B. had warned us about this kind of thing, but I still felt sorry for her.
After the Pantheon, we went to the Piazza Navona which was one of the high points of the trip for me. There were a bunch of artists who did sketches and things, and this lady who would do tableus, and these guys who played Stairway to Heaven. I also got my dad cheated out of two euros when some guy tied some string around my wrist. In my defence I didn't know what was going on. There was also a wicked cool fountain called the Four Rivers Fountain, that has statues representing the major rivers of Europe (the Danube), Asia (The Ganges), Africa (The Nile), and the Americas (the Rio de la Plata). I like this area because it was very artsy and had a bunch of artists selling there paintings and people who would do sketches and caricatures of you.
After that we walked thru some old ruins on the way to the bus so we could go to our hotel outside of Rome. We also saw an old bath house, that I thought would be a great place to play live-action Dungeons and Dragons. The hotel in question was very Catholic, and was frequented by people on pilgramiges to the Vatican. Lots of people complained about how cold the beds were, but I didn't mind.
That is Day 2 of my trip to Rome. To go to Day 1 of my Europe Trip, press here. To go to Day 3 of my Europe Trip, Press Here.
