Six more days till my birthday

I have made a great discovery today. I know now what being embarrassed is like. Embarrassing is when your mother takes you underwear shopping. Now I know what my sister Delila feels every time I'm with her. After my dad explained this to me I commented on the heads on sticks, since I thought that was cool.
I'm starting to wonder if my inability to understand embarrassment will be a hindrance when I start dating. What am I saying, it probably will and I'm not just saying that because my dad is looking over my shoulder while I write this. (Hi Dad!). Hm, that may be what clinks it. Maybe my romantic delusions will be of some help after all. Huzzah.
And I'm writing this because I was watching Fight Club, which puts me in a Loncrow state of mind I guess and not the kind where I get exhausted after he comes over. I guess Tyler Durden(Brad Pitt's character) is just the kind of guy I see Loncrow as turning into at some point, or someone like Tyler. I'm not sure how Loncrow would take that.
I'm starting to wonder if I'll ever see Loncrow again. I don't have his contact and I haven't chatted with him on MSN for quite awhile. Maybe I could e-mail him or something, see if he can come over. I hope he hasn't lost my copy of Invisibles, Vol 2.
Okay, my birthday is on the 10th, and I need to get my list done so my folks have an idea of what to get me. So here it is people, Writer's birthday list.
  • Oriental Adventures, 3.5 version preferably.
  • Move Under Ground, by Nick Mamatas
  • The First Third, by Neal Cassady
  • Neal Cassady: Collected Letters 1944-1967, by Neal Cassady
  • A new Ipod with a higher song storage. My current Mp3 holds up to 300 songs
  • Donnie Darko, director's cut
  • Any of Neil Gaiman's Sandman books, except for Books 1 (Preludes and Nocturnes),3 (Dream Country) and 6 (Fables and Reflections) as I've already read those. Book Two would be preferable

And that's all I can think up. That's all. Thanks for reading. Be seeing you.

I sure havn't posted in a long time

Yeah, I haven't posted in awhile. Well, a few things have happened recently. The most recent being that I went to Toronto with my aunt to get some new books. It was a really fun trip, even if I got a headache from not drinking enough water. Here is a list of the books I got.
  • The Gormenghast Trilogy, by Mervyn Peake. I've been looking for this for awhile now.
  • An Omnibus addition of The English Assassin and The Condition of Muzak, by Michael Moorcock. Both part of the Jerry Cornelius series.
  • The Satanic Verses, by Salman Rushdie
  • Les Miserables, by Victor Hugo
  • A thing on various Secret Societies
Another good point was having Loncrow come over last weekend. He's moving to Colchester, which is about three hours from where we are now. He said that he's going to come here more often though, so we can continue the campaign. Which is good, I really think it's starting to pick up in it.
Well, that's all I really feel like writing now. I'll get back to you on the 19th.

Loncrow and The Invisibles. Hm, that might make a good band name

I'm a little unsure about making a post right know, but I figure that I should post anyway because I don't want to loose concentration on the blog. I have to many friends on this to loose it now.
Speaking of friends, Loncrow is coming over today for D20 Modern, and possibly PlayStation 2 and a movie or two. I'm a little anxious because he said he'd be hear right now. I'm thinking I should call him. Mom and Dad say I should wait awhile though. Still nervous, Loncrow is my closest real friend and I don't get to see him much. I am really sure that Loncrow and me are part of some kind of ka-tet. A ka-tet, for those of you who are not familiar with The Dark Tower series, is a group of people tied together by the bonds of destiny (or ka, if you prefer). When I told this to Loncrow last time he was here, he didn't take it that seriously, but he did admit we are on the same wavelength more or less.
I picked up Volume One of Grant Morrison's The Invisibles yesterday. It was interesting and has given me a lot to think about. For one thing, I am pretty sure I have come up with the same thing. The basic premise to the Invisibles, is that a secret conspiracy of occultist-fashion conscious anarchists have been fighting a secret war against another secret conspiracy based on order and repression. That's basically my urban fantasy thing, only mine has a pantheon, which I admit is basically a mix of various Hindu, Gnostic and Pre-Islamic Arabian deities along with the various gods of H.P. Lovecraft's and William Blake's mythologies, all worked into some New Age weirdness. I'm thinking I should write a letter to Grant Morrison to see what he thinks of the universe I created that may or may not be the same one he made.
Anyway, more on the Invisibles. Not something to be read lightly, it's a social commentary more then anything. It has all the good weirdness of Doom Patrol and Animal Man, and seems to have this disconserting factor I've been piking up. When I read the Animal Man comics awhile back I felt kind of awkward reading them towards the end. I get that feeling from reading the Invisibles and this is only the first eight issues. It may have something to do with the allusions to the Marquis De Sade. For all it's weirdness, I have to admit that Grant Morrison does have a point when he says that society has brought alot of negativity to human beings. We are living in a really screwed up world, and we can probubly blame this on the people running the world, and us for being stupid enough to follow them. Also, the ultimate goal of the Invisibles is one I can sympathize with, creating a utopia where everyone is happy. Think about it, the utopia of a religious fundamentalist would be different then mine.
Okay, enough blabering, I'm going to finish this post now. There it's done.

Writer's Soliloque (This is a refrence to Hamlet. We're studying it in English. I can relate to him)

Loncrow came over yesterday. We had fun. I showed him the Giant Squid and we got the movies Donnie Darko and Kung Fu Hustle. We never did get around to watching Kung Fu Hustle, but we did see Donnie Darko. It was the director's cut so it was around 4 hours. It is a freaking weird movie. I'm not really sure how to explain it, but there's an evil bipeadel bunny rabbit named Frank.
We also began playing a game of D20 Modern set in the world of my mythos. It's in our universe set during the 1980's, known as the Decade of Hell by many of the beings in it. Loncrow says he likes it alot, but I need to get the adventures all set out before I actually get around to doing it. I'm working our next adventure. I'm going to do something with the dominent faction in New York, as well as make an ellaboration on a being known as The Tyrant of Heaven.
Anyway, tomorrow I will go back to the prison of School. I'm starting to look at my life in rather literary terms, kind of like Blake or Moorcock battle between law and chaos. On the one hand, I desire freedom, I feel called to be some sort of bohemian counter-culture prose-poet living in Kensington Market or something. On the other hand, I feel the need for order, even though I find the order harmful to my soul. I don't even know if I need this order.
I tried to reorganize my library. It's three shelves full of books that I picked up at Chapters, used book stores, library sales and the various gifts I got this Christmas. I still have copies sitting on the floor. I need to get them out of the way. I'm running out of room. What's more there are more things coming. I went to the Book Vault awhile back and saw a bunch of interesting reads. There's the rest of Transmetropolitan and The Authority for instance. And then there's other series I'd like to pick up, John Constantine, Hellblazer and Sandman and The Invisibles and that thing with Stan Lee writing for DC looked interesting. And I've been thinking about starting to collect vinyl. I don't have the room. My shelves are overflowing as it is. I can't get a bigger room because there all taken.
I need to get out of here fast. But I'm don't have anywhere to go. Steph got out from her trap, but I can't even if I hade a girlfreind in Europe. I don't know the rules of society, I don't have the knowledge. My class dosn't include Knowledge(social rules) and I'm forbidden from cross-classing. I don't have that inherrient trait. I don't have the colour code for emotions. I'm trapped in my own world of Southern-Ontario, living nomadically from place to place. Shuttling myself from home to school to the library to The Book Vault to The Giant Squid.
My mom says I'm going to be okay and so is my soul. I'm not really worried about my soul at this juncture. My sanity maybe. Maybe I'm not looking for my mother's pitty. Maybe I'm just looking for a bigger room that I can't get here. Maybe it's getting time for me to leave the nest.
Oh, and I'm on MSN now.

My birthday is today.

Hey, anybody ever get that spam mail that advertises genital enlargement pills? You ever get insulted by that. I mean, I don't care about that, but you think someone would sue them for that kind of stuff. Can you sue people for that?
Anyway, back to real news. It's my birthday, huzzah. Hade to go to a Remembrance Day ceremony and I discovered something about myself. I can't comprehend the concept behind Remembrence Day. When people think of Remembrence Day, they remember all the people who died so we can be "free". When I think about Remembrence Day, I think of how stupid everyone is and how this whole Remembrence Day thing is just an excuse to continue fighting people. Sure, I'm glad that Hitler didn't win, but we could have easily saved the trouble of that by not screwing the Germans over. If we didn't screw the Germans over then we wouldn't have to deal with the Nazies and Hitler would be some painter who died in a slum somewhere in Munich or something. Anyway, I hade to leave because I just couldn't take it. I just can't except that this war can have any good reprecussions beyond some good music.
Anyway, I hade a big cry. Mom and Dad know what I'm talking about. One were I hade to go to the health room and my eyes were all red. I havn't head one of those in awhile. Then I walked around the place with my EA and we got some doughnuts from the staff room, which was fun because I don't get stuff like that usually. My EA made me eat a second half because she's worried I'd get skinny or something to that effect. She also said that I don't stress her, because no matter how bad I get it's not her fault. It's my parent's fault.
Anyway, birthday presents. This is what I got from my family.
  • Fragile Things, by Neil Gaiman
  • a new backpack
  • Three-Dragon Ante, a card game for Dungeons and Dragons.
  • A shirt
  • Five new buttons
  • Sprite made a cute picture of me saying "D&D is the coolest"
  • My EA gave me 40 pencils and a giant Mr. Big chocolate bar.

My EA gave me 40 pencils, two erasers and a really big Mr. Big bar.

Anyway, as you all know my good freind Loncrow will be coming today. He dosn't know it's my birthday, but quite franklty after not seeing him for a year tops, his presence will be enough (and that new D&D campaign setting his brother made and Soulcaliber III. Soulcaliber III is wikied awesome. I'm making Elric). Anyway, that's it. Bye for know.

Post-Halloween PA day

First, I didn't tell anyone this but I watch and love Lost. It is one of the coolest television shows in existance, and last week I guessed the twist. See, the plot of Lost is that there's this plane crash between America and Austrailia and a bunch of people are stranded on this island with a bunch of people they call "The Others", not to menchion a French Lady and a bunch of polar bears, and a big ass black horse.
Well, I guessed the twist. See, I came up with the idea that there are two islands and the Others live on one, and the guys we see the most live on the other. And I was RIGHT! See, there's this whole thing about dualities, so I figured that there was another island and I was RIGHT! However, that's as far as I can go. I don't know why Desmond can predict the future know, except it has something to do with the Hatch.
Anyway, know we vear away from Lost to tell you my big annoucement. Loncrow's coming, yeah. I don't know if he reads my blog, but I hope he isn't intimidated by that. It's just so great to have a freind over. You may remember Loncrow, he's a freind of mine who I lost contact with. He's coming over on the 10th, which happens to be my birthday so that's great. We're going to play Dunegons and Dragons and knowing Loncrow Playstation.
Anyway, yesterday was Halloween. I didn't go out of dress up or anything. I would have licked to dress up, but I didn't get around to making a costume. I'll probubly do it tommorrow. Anyway, that's all I care to speak of today. Bye Bye.
