Could this be the end of The Aspie Diaries?

Very probably.
I am very tempted to just go on about how shitty I feel at the moment, and despite the fact it's almost Christmas I'm not feeling alot of that cheer. I have been working on my final exam, the one for the Jesus class and it has largely been driving me nuts. Or more likely not getting enough time to write it has been driving me nuts. Much worse is that my sleep patterns are off, my schedule is a mess and I'm not blogging as much as I should.
Which brings me to what I was thinking about doing for awhile, starting a new blog. I'm not the same person I was when I started writing this thing, and to be honest most of this blog feels like dead weight to me. Maybe a new refreshing blog is just what I need right now.
So for the next few days I'll be getting this stupid paper done and coming up with a new blog to replace "the Aspie Diaries." I'll still keep this blog up and officially my last post will be an announcement that the new blog is up and running. I hope that this new blog will help me rediscover my passion for internet journalism.

Blog Vacation

I haven't been blogging recently. To be honest I don't really see much of a reason to. I'm not saying I'm abandoning my blog, but I'm not going to be writing for a while. I don't know how long exactly but blogging is not something that is taking up much of my time these days. I might start in the new year, but otherwise I don't feel I have anything to say on my blog.

Twitter

Blogging has a new form, and that form is twitter. From my understanding, twitter is like a normal blog except a shorter format and more famous people. I just discovered Neil Gaiman is on the twitter. Some people have even become twitter addicts, i.e. people who cannot help tweeting, a tweet being a post on twitter, or someone who is on the tweeter. I don't know, because I'm not getting involved in this. I prefer the long ranting format that blogs allow. I was hoping to go longer, but I don't think that this is all I can manage at the moment. Well, at least it's longer then a twitter post.

Seven Days Till Summer

If there were any great legendary bloggers I'm sure that they would blog on a regular basis. Of course, if they were great bloggers, then they would simply great and only blog once a year but it would be such good writing nobody would care. But since blogging is more of a diary format for exhibitionists then it would probubly be more of writing close to every day, or at least banging out something on a regular basis.

Well, I suppose I can use the excuse that I have been busy not doing any school work. I am however, very close to finishing the Ginsberg essay. I have six pages out of the minimal ten, and I think I could easily get to that. Maybe even nine pages if I think of what else should go in here. At the moment I doubt if I'm writing mainly about poetic speaker, but I'm sure it could be read that way.

Also, my favorite home cafe has undergone changes. I wish I had before or after pictures to show you guys, but I never bothered to do that. I checked with the lady who owns this place, whom I will call Nora Dalloway, and she said it's alright if I show you how it looks from the back...

And here's how it looks from the front, with the owner Nora Dalloway.

Nora is the person with the blurry arms. Well, a friend just walked in, so I'm checking out.

English Mid-Term

I'm tired. I want to go home. I want to sleep in a descent bed and not think about University for a week. It turns out I won't have to worry about it for a weekend however, and even then I still have to read the Republic. But the Republic is nothing I worry about, it's my English mid-term. I'm holding on to the end of the perverbial stick and all I want to do is to go to sleep for a few hours without the damn Ipod going of at 7:50 every day.
So in other news, I'm back to Aspie Diaries. I like that name better then Notes from the Bunker. This blog is going to be Aspie Diaries for years and years. When I have written the first four novels, then this will still be The Aspie Diaries.
And that's basically it. Aspie Diaries again, and tired and want to go home.

600!

Well, it's finally here. Post 600. It's been little over four years since I started this blog and my how far I've come. Here I am in University, a published short story that has meet with high praise (though only through people I know), and already I have a small circle of friends. Yep, things are looking good for Dylan.
Other then that, things are getting pretty heated. I have two tests this week, one in Religious Studies and one in English. The date of a Religious Studies test is as of yet unanoced because that's how my current RS teacher roles, but I'm pretty sure that today is the next test. After that I have a free week which will be spent mostly with reading Plato's "The Republic," which will be followed by a test on Tuesday about what we learned. I'm hoping to do much better on this test then the last Philosophy test I took. I got a 9.5 out of 21 on that one. Not pretty good, but I've been screwing around and winter isn't my good season. Mind you, I could just have been screwing around and overplaying this whole winter thing.
Other then that things are looking good. I have alot of confidence in the next tests. I'm feeling much more confident now that I've got a note taker in most classes. I have yet to get that done in Religious Studies mind you, but I think we're really close on that. Besides, Philosophy is the one I'm really worried about. It looks to be my hardest class this term, mostly because I'm not as interested in it as say Religions of the East, or 20th century English Literature 1945-present. I'm glad that I took the Philosophy and Religions of the East course mind you, because at the moment I'm seeing a few comparisons between Buddhism and Plato's The Republics, especially Plato's Metaphor of the Cave. I don't know if I'll take any more philosophy classes after this. Maybe the one on Existentalism and the one on Philosophy in literature, but other then that I'm going to stick with good old Religious Studies and Literature.
And to finish, please note the completely legitimate waking hour of 7:16 PM.

The Big Winter Semester House Meeting Hoohow

I really like the idea of posting pictures with my blog. I'm not sure why but it makes it look more interesting, though I admit that I'm just taking pictures of myself using my camera right now. This may in fact be one of the major pictures as I would like the picture in question to have something to do with the topic and the topic I blog the most about is myself.
So, tomorrow is the big get together at the WPIRG, which is the local youth activism organization on campus. This will take place almost immediatly after my WoD game, so I have a very busy day tomorrow. I'm not praticularly worried however, since Friday all I'll be doing is handing in an essay I'm very close to finishing. Well, essay isn't the proper word since it's only supposed to be three to four pages long. I have vague recollections about a time when an essay was that long, but that should be impossible, because everyone knows essays have six to ten pages and footnoting. Oh, those dark savage days with no footnoting, when man had to rely solely on MLA to write his essays.
Well, other then the essay things are pretty good. My only real problem is that I'm not talking to the Dons this week and I'm not sure that they got the message. Why am I not talking to the dons you ask? Well I'll tell you. It was the big house meeting at the beginning to the semester when everyone gets together to hear the rules. I find this annoying because I already know the rules and I had to put jeans on (One of the many advantages of having a single room). It is apparently a tradition of the dons to pull a Weird Al and rewrite the words to a major song that everyone will recognize and relate it to the duties of being a don. This semester was Kate Perry's "I kissed a girl (and I liked it)." (Spit). Since I was already ticked off, and Kate Perry (spit) has total irrelevance to me at best I am not talking to any of the dons until Monday. If anyone from my residence is reading this, and I know some of you are, please tell the dons about this new development. I am sorry, but I'm sticking to my principles, no matter how much they make me look like a snobbish University Arts Major who reads Artaud and Apollinaire and attends weird perfomance art things.

UES

I'm in a melancholy mood. I think it's partially the game I'm playing with the guys at Watsfic. It's my introduction into the World of Darkness, and my characters is a vampire. I'm really not liking the idea because apparently the entire point of vampirism is your damned. I don't want to play a character that is literally cut of from humanity. Why are people into vampires anyways, it seems to me that if there are vampires they must lead a very miserable existence. They're basically parasites. I feel very sorry for my character. I think I'm going to have him mysteriously disappear and rewrite him into my mythos, where they're aren't any vampires per say, but I kind of like the idea of what vampires are so I'll rewrite it in some way. I'm converting Dean, that's my character's name, Dean Gettys, into something else though. Maybe I could reintroduce him as that thing but I'd have to take it up with the Storyteller (World of Darkness talk for Dungeon Master).
In other news, I am discovering a new kind of stress. University Exam Stress, or UES. This is like High School Exam Stress (HSES), except that it slowly builds up over several days. I believe that UES is much worse then HSES, especially when you have an essay due Friday. Everyone says that I'm in a good place for my essay however, since I'm working on it and have a good idea. My English proffessor, who I'm probubly not going to see for quite some time as I'm done my first courses, said that I just need to write what I have down and ideas will come to me to flesh it out. I already have a page and a half of writing done, which is more then I expected. She probubly has a point.
I'm actually feeling a bit better writing all this down, I don't know why. I don't know why bearing my soul to you people makes me feel better. Maybe it's because I know most of you. Maybe I'm just secretly an emotional exhibitionist at heart and like people to know what goes on in the dark recesses of my soul. I always thought I had some perverse desire to share my soul with others, but I like to do it on my blog. That way it's kind of like I'm not actually telling you anything, I'm just writing it down.

Coming Soon...

Well, it's official. I am officially coming out. My name is Dylan and I'm telling you this because I am going to have my own official website. This may also be due to the fact that I am going to be published in Oddeville Press this December. Yes, I am an officially published writer, as of December. Let's hope that this will lead to a fruitful career where I will join the pantheon of great authors.
The website is still pretty bad, but pay attention because I'm probably moving my blog there at some point. If I can I'll be putting up pictures and videos and some of my writing, maybe even some downloads of my poetry in spoken form.
That is all.

I just feel I need to keep you all informed

I was sincerely hoping to update my blog more regularly. I'm thinking that maybe if I where to change the format of my blog, like give it a new look and a new name I'd be better able to blog more. It may not but I'm beginning to get tired of "The Aspie Diaries," as a title. Few of my posts deal directly with Aspergers Syndrome and I'm thinking my parents may be right in that I don't want people to think of me as the guy with Aspergers Syndrome.
So, recent news. I finished my first University paper yesterday. It was about the Noah Account and Source Criticism and good luck trying to get me to explain that to you. It was more stress then I care to go through again and was necessary for me to have. I'm still getting on the idea that I have to do actual work.
Also on the weekend, we had a reading at my favorite coffee house. As these things ususally are, it was a small event. After that we all went to a local pub and hung out there to lisean to good Irish folk music. I had some pepsi. I also read a short story I wrote called "Cattle Man's Folly," which everyone thought was pretty funny.
Today I went to a meeting at the OPD and they talked about Exams and what I should do in the event of an Exam. I wasn't really liseaning and will have to look over my notes again sometime. I thought I'd just be able to ask them some questions, like when will I get a note taker? Apparently now I have more questions, like who is my academic adviser?
Also today, but later, I will half to sit through Birth of a Nation, which I would otherwise have never watched because it's racist. I don't know if I'll even be able to sit through it. I can't believe that I'm going to be missing Heroes for this.

500

It's official, I am now at 500 Posts. Since the last day I posted, I did quite alot of stuff I want to make sure you all had a chance to read it. I'm writing this on the 25th of April, but will post it when you've all answered the Movie-Quote Test thing.

And so as not to make this a completely innane test, you can all watch this youtube clip of the 1973 movie "The Final Programme", based on the Michael Moorcock novel of the same name.

Blog Thought

I was wondering if I should just write down my blog as random ideas that I feel I can share. I mean, I don't think I should put down all my ideas on this blog, but I was thinking I could just do brief edits. For instance, I could write about my feelings on one subject and then have another post on another subject. It would be pretty complex to read, but what do I actually care. Just as long as I don't go about putting down the secrets of my mythos I'll be fine.
I've been worrying about how I'm keeping up my blog. I've only got six posts, soon to be seven. I don't feel I am living up to my responsibility as a blogger. There are probubly all sorts of blogs out there that didn't get far. Heck, I've started a few of them. I want this blog to be the blog that historians look back on as the ultimate blog. I want to have this blog going from here to 2050 and beyond this point. When I stop blogging I'm going to be DEAD!
So should I just have this as random thought blog. Well, why not. It's my blog and I can do with it what I wish. The only problem is that I don't know if you guys reading this will enjoy it like that. I'm worried about what you think when I go all Tristan Shandy on you. Maybe I shouldn't and just damn the consequences.
So, basically I'm going to turn this into Writer's random thoughts and I will lisean to your feedback. I won't act on it, but I'll lisean to it.

New Update Concerning My Blog

Hey, you may notice that under my archives is a list of books. Well, this is my Librarything account. Library thing is basically an internet collection of books I own, and gives suggestions and stuff like that. Steph, I know you'll be interested in this. Just thought I'd give you a heads up.

Forgot to post on the 5th. Sorry :(

Oh my God, I used a frowny internet face. What am I comming to?
Anyway, as the post says I failed to live up to my new goal of posting on the 5th, 7th, 19th and 23rd of each day of the month. I sincerly apologize, and promise that I will find something to post about tomorrow.
I just thought that I'd make a 23 watch. Every month I could post some new stuff I learned about the number 23, most likely on the 23rd. Gives this blog more of a purpose beyond being the place where I post all kinds of stuff for all to see. It could also show that I am getting more and more obsessed with a seemingly random number.
On the subject of Last.fm, I think it's been a pretty good deal. I've bookmarked a tag radio for 60's garage rock and Surf music, which is partially inspired by liseaning to Little Steven's Underground Garage (see link). I've also found out alot about new bands such as Aprodite's Child and.... well, Aphrodite's Child is the only one I've got so far, oh wait Curved Air. That band is pretty cool. Still, I'm probubly going to by the concept Album Aphrodite's Child did on the Book of Revelations, 666.
I've been thinking alot about the 1960's storyline. The way I see it the first really important novel is going to be about how the various characters try and create a new society, what with the fact most of them are drop-outs, where forced out or are wanted dead by there previous societies. The way I see it, I've got alot of people with verging world views. Here's a list of the kinds of people who inhabit the Commune or whatever it's going to end up.
  • Artists, this includes painters, writers, mucisians. People like Roland Morningstar and David Howl. I'm also thinking Moon is going to have some kind of artistic talent, probubly an actor as I don't have any of those in.
  • Off-beat and Radical Politicals, At the moment I've got one Trotskyist and a small group of Black Nationalists. Since the Trotskyist, Abraham Nakamura, comes in with the grand majority of Black Nationalists, they might have Communist sympathys. Probubly Abe's girlfriend is one of the Black Nationalists. Yeah, I like that idea.
  • Religious Seekers and Mystics, This would include various people in a spiritual crisis and the people who are not. Roland qualifies as a seeker, as do a lot of the characters on some level. Mystics would be the people who are already at a stage, and know more of what's going on then most of the other characters. This would be people like Are'do, Rachel, Yeshua and Sophia. On another level, Yeshua is also a seeker, but for way different reasons then anyone else.
  • Hippies, most of the characters are hippies or are at least very close. I think David is more of a beat really, which is why I dropped the "e" out of his last name. See Howl. Come to think of it, the story I'm writting about him shares many similarities to the poem.
Well, that's all I've got to write about. I'm going to stop writing this now for I have grown bored. I promise to write about something tomorrow though.

I'M OUT!!!

Yeah! I'm out of school. Summer is here and I don't have to go to School, I can goof of all day. Huzzah!
So yeah, I'm out of school. Now I have to figure out what I'm going to do with all this free time. I figure I could try blogging more. I've been thinking about making a post on every 5th, 7th, 19th and 23rd day of the month because they are my special numbers. Mom says I should try doing a blog post every 23 hours. I don't know if I can work that but it would stave of boredom.
And there is the novel. I plan on working really hard on my novel so I can get it done by the end of summer. I figure I can get at least three chapters of it done this week. That and I'm going to get started on the 1960's stories.
On the subject of the number 23, I'm working a thing in where the number 23 plays a role in each of the characters lives in some way. Here's what I've got so far.
  • David Howl only sold 23 copies of his first novel.
  • Jack Blackwright wakes up in the Soho district of London with a 23 year memory gap.
  • Oothoon was 23 years old when she left the Brides of Yazan.
Okay, that's all I've got so far. I also have the idea that some of the characters were born on the 23th of something.
I've also been wondering what else I should actually do. There are a lot of things I want to work in to this series. Here, I'll make a list.
  1. My Main Pantheon, this is going in as it is way to important to the plot
  2. Historic Feel of Haight-Ashbury in the 1960's, I'm probably going to have to find people for this or at least read a whole lot of books
  3. A Cast similar to that on Lost, Basically, a bunch of people from all walks of life who are drawn together by a similar force and end up creating a sort of tribe.
  4. Historical Figures, I want to work real people into the story line. So far all I got is that The Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin and the Jefferson Airplane are going to appear, a possible Beatles cameo, and Charles Manson seems to be turning into an antagonist. I'm also thinking Ken Kesey might turn out to be a major character. Oh, and the Black Panthers come in here somewhere.
  5. Fictional Characters, I've been thinking about working fictional characters into the universe. I already have an idea that Cthulhu, or at least something like Cthulhu, turns up. Actually, Steph knows that Cthulhu comes up. I also see Jerry Cornelius appearing somewhere in the story, mainly around the London stories. The problem is I don't know if Michael Moorcock would allow me to use Jerry Cornelius in a story. If not I'm probably going to have to come up with some alternate version, which would also be fun. Maybe I should do that instead. Forget I wrote this down.
  6. Metafiction, I've been really into this ever since I read Animal Man. There's an entire list of things and I would like to work as many of them in as possible.
  7. Some kind of important link to Mythania, Somehow the characters should be aware of Mythania, even if most of them never go there. I'm thinking that two of the characters end up discovering they share the same fantasy world and end up writing a novel, which could also work into the Metafiction element, making it a story-within-a-story.
Okay, that's all I can think off. So, time is running out on this computer,so I'm going to sign out now.

400

Yeah, I've have 400 posts on this thing. Most excellent.
So, I'm half finished the first half of my history essay, so in true fashion I am not doing any real work on it until tomorrow. In the meantime, I plan on getting some writting done, if only for what I have designated novel number two, which is basically just a bunch of interconnected short stories. It's all part of the Family 48 thing that Steph knows about. I'm not going to go into to much detail because I see it as a thing like Lost, where half the fun in watching it (reading it in this case) is trying to figure out what is going on. Don't worry, it will end with a good idea of what is going on.
Ah, that's all I can think off. Hell of a 400th post.

Summer is coming. The light at the end of the tunnel.

Hey, you may have noticed I redid the blog. I felt like redoing it so I did it. I'd ask you how you like it, but I like it this way so why argue.
So, Summer is coming slowly and in the mean time I have two major projects to finish. First there's a history essay and then I need to do a co-op thing where I write a book report on a book on museums and write a thing about technology in the workplace. I'm really not in the mood for School at all. My mind already thinks it's Summer and just wants to goof off.
Work on my novel has also been postponed because all of the school work is getting in the way. This really bugs me, but I plan on working really hard on it over the summer. I hope that I can finish it over the summer too. If I get ten pages a day done I think I can manage it, also I plan on working on a few short stories and seeing if I can't send those out.
Okay, just thought I'd do some writing. Now I have to go work Israel into my essay, shouldn't be to hard.

Does anyone other then me actually read 8 bit theatre?

Hey, I was just trying to get the link up for 8 bit theatre, which seems to have died during the transfer of formats. I was wondering if any of you guys actually read it.

I am Free. I am Free (and freedom has the taste of Christmas without snow, Sigh)

So I was getting ready to make today's post when I see that they are out of beta. As many bloggers should know, blogger beta is the new thing that came up awhile ago. What they mean by being out of it I have no idea. I'm a little annoyed at this development because they shouldn't run out. How can you run out of data? Somebody get me a computer geek to explain this.
So anyways, I am free from the confines of the oppresive school tyranny, huzah! Today, I have spent my time hanging with my little cousins and pretending to be a delivery pirate, i.e. pirates who do deliveries. Whatever pirates deliver I don't know. I figure it's rum or something.
As I said, this isn't technically part of my first day of Christmas vacation. I got the day off because of the sheer pointlessness of todays proceedings. First, there's an assembly (gag) or as I like to think of them, mass nationalism-trainings. Second, there's a student-teacher hockey game, which I care even less for. Especially the big deal they make out of it. They do this whole Coach's Corner thing, the teachers generally bad mouth the student team. I have enough trouble standing through the national anthem. They did loose the CD yesterday though, unfortunatly this just lead to some girl coming on and singing the entire thing without the hope of a technical error. Cure you Gods. Cures you! So, like many other kids, I skipped and hung out at my aunt and uncles. I also broke my high score on computer pinball.
Anyway, today I will celebrate my getting a bunch of movies for me and my family to watch, and in family I mean me, my dad and Delila(my sister). I'm thinking I should pick up Pulp Fiction, for some action and then maybe a comedy of somekind. I'm also a bit curious on Yellow Submarine, if only because I suspect this to be the favorite movie of Naos Ben-David. I'll have to check.
Here's my own version of that thing Shelia has up on her blog.
  1. Hot Chocolate or Egg Nog? Hot Chocolate.
  2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? The presents are wrapped by the gnomes. Santa does deliver presents to my house wrapped however.
  3. Colored lights on tree/house or white lights? I don't know.
  4. Do you hange mistletoe? No, to much risk of kissing my sisters.
  5. When do you put your lights up? If I could I'd put them up in the living room or den or something all year round. Sadly, I must wait until I get my own place.
  6. What is your favorite holiday dish? Stuffing
  7. Favorite holiday memory? Hm. Just the idea of sitting around a tree getting presents. Merges into itself really.
  8. When did you know the truth about Santa? That he was a half-alien shaman? Last Christmas. I can't say anything else.
  9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? Just clothes.
  10. How do you decorate your Christmas tree? Little glass bells with otters in them.
  11. Snow, love it or dread it? I wish I hade snow. It's all gone.
  12. Can you ice skate? Hate it, so no.
  13. Do you remember your favorite gift? I'm going to say the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Or maybe my Mp3 player.
  14. What's the most important thing? Sweet Holiday Ok-ness
  15. What is your favorite holiday dessert? Pie. Anykind of pie. Except Rhubarb
  16. What is your favorite holiday tradition? Every single one of my imaginary freinds coming over to stay at my place. Weird, since few of them are actually Christian.
  17. What tops your tree? Star.
  18. Which do you prefer, giving or recieving? Both is fine, just as long as I recieve.
  19. What is you favorite Christmas song? You're all going to hate me for this, but Santa got run over by my Chevi. I heard it on Little Steven's Underground Garage last week and for some reason I loved it. I also like Chipmunk's Roasting on an Open Fire.
  20. Candy canes, yuck or yum? Me, I don't care either way.

Two days until Christmas Vacation, also includes upcoming plans and a review of Clerks

So, awhile back I wrote about the unknown territory that is sex and women. My mom has gotten ahold of this and this scared her or something. We had a breif discussion and now we arn't going to talk about it until it comes up next.
Anyway, we are approaching the beginning of the Chirstmas holidays. For your normal kid, you would have about three more days, but since the only thing happening is an assembly(which I hate) and the annual school class devision tournament (teacher/student hockey game, which I also hate), I will be givin the right to skip the entire day. The only problem is what am I going to do with all my free-time. I'm probubly going to go to my grandma's unless anything interesting turns up. I don't think I should stay home because I see no real point. I also don't see myself hanging around downtown all day. The idea of leaving town for Toronto or something is out of the question, as I don't have any means of transportation, nore do I have any back up for a trip to a big city. So, it's looking like a trip to Grandma's.
I'm not sure I want to go to Grandma's that much. There's not really alot to do except hang around with my baby cousin and maybe read a book or something. I could also watch TV, which I can do at home. I suppose that if I don't come up with something better I'll go there anyway.
In other news, I have officially seen the movie Clerks. It's a pretty funny movie about a day in the life of two guys named Dante and Randal who work as clerks, hense the title. The characters are pretty interesting, if not the best examples of humanity. Dante is trapped into his existance for fear of bringing instability to his life, Randal is odviously a sociopath who insults anyone who comes into the video store he works at (when he works there, for most of the film he hangs out with Dante, ignoring his duties). There isn't really a plot as such, as it is really a day when alot of bad, yet amusing things happen to the people. Also, Jay and Silent Bob are in it. They spend most of the movie outside the building being Jay and Silent Bob.
That's it. I'm going know because I don't know what else to write. Pay attention to my DeviantArt account for I will be posting new art, hopefully by Thursday. If not, well I'll figure something out.
