A Savage and Possibly Frightening Voyage into my Imagination

I've got homework. I've got to write up a thing on Employment Insurance (Canadian Unemployment Insurance), write up this thing in Writer's Craft, and then I have to do a thing on Mythania. It involves making a map of the Aethean Sea, as well as getting a bunch of things on creating worlds for creating fantasy worlds. Shouldn't be so hard, as I have a few links already. Oh right, they're on the computer that doesn't work anymore. Ah well, it still won't be to hard. That and I have to potentially write up a bunch of stuff for it. I suppose just a brief description of it would be fine. Then there's the time period I have to choose. I figure around 100 CSY, which should be around 250 in the calendar I just made up for this religious brotherhood that took over what was left of the Anoran Empire.
On other notes, I'm putting away at the novel. For the most part all I've written are a bunch of conversations between Naos and Helen. There are a few other things that are going on, but it seems to mostly be Naos and Helen recalling memories of stuff. I suppose that is good, since I believe, or at least hope, they reveal a lot of stuff about the characters. I'm also trying to come up with a bunch of quotes to begin each section. So far I just got a bunch of song lyrics and a bit of William Blake. I'm also thinking about making a soundtrack for the book, so I can get the right idea of the world. I worked on it before I came here, to the public library, that's were I am at the moment by the way. Figured I'd come over here and see if I can't find some Bob Dylan, since he's one of the artists I closely associate with Naos. Then maybe I'll see if they have the soundtrack for Easy Rider. I don't know if they do, but I figure it will help with the first Act. I've separated the novel into five acts, act five acting more as an epilogue. The titles of these acts are as follows.
Act One, On the Road in the Former United States of America
Act Two, Say you want a Revolution
Act Three, Fear and Loathing on the Material Plane
Act Four, The Enlightenment of Naos Ben-David
Act Five, N/A, I still have to think this one up. I was thinking of "God's Mercy on you swine," but I already have a reference to Hunter S. Thompson. I may just use that as a quote.
I'm also thinking of putting an intermission of some sort in after Act Two or half way through Act Three. Or maybe I could have a bunch of intermissions. Three, let's say. One at the end of act One, another at the end of Act Two, and another in the middle of Act Three. After that the plot begins to get really fast pas and I don't think there should be any intermissions, except for maybe something that says "There will be no more intermissions," only more dark and not as direct. This will be right before Act Four.
On another note, I'm working on what I hope to be the first story of my "Song of the 60's," story ark. The working title is "How Sophia Campion and Daniel Taylor avoided the Loony Bin and Tuned in, Turned off and Dropped Out," or something long like that. It basically deals with how two of the characters got involved in the big thing that happens and begin there voyage to San Fransisco.
I haven't really explained Song of the 60's yet. Well, it's basically a thing I wanted to write in more or less the same vein as Lost. I've been really interested in the 60's and I thought it would be an interesting place to write about. Off course, since it's me, it's going to involve an ancient conspiracy, interdemensional travel, a battle between the forces of good and evil, and my mythology. Off course, considering that this is the 1960's were talking about, it's probably not that strange to have an immortal Sufi-Warrior Mystic, a trio of prophets based on the Marx Brothers (sans Zeppo), and Naos walking around the place.
How is this going to be like Lost? Well, I plan on having back stories for all the characters that run into each other. Since there are going to be a very wide cast of characters, including various historical characters such as inhabitants of this time period (Timothy Leary, Ken Kesey and Hunter S. Thompson will all play roles of some kind as well as anyone else who seems appropriate), and a few who don't but could probably fit easily in. For instance characters like William Blake, Jesus Christ, Alastair Crowley (who's spirit has been trapped in a pickle jar since his death and is used as a scrying device), Emperor Norton the First, H.P. Lovecraft and a whole host of Sufis, Troubadours, Cathars, Knights Templar and other such individuals. And, this is a recent development, they are all connected in some way. For instance, one of the characters descendants met H.P. Lovecraft in an incident with the Necronomicon, another character is reading a book on by Joseph Keating (A British Professor Ala Tolkien), who in tern is trying to figure out this conspiracy that's coming in around him and what to do with these weird crystal stick thing (That incidentally belongs to a changeling sorcerer who is currently on his way to San Fransisco wondering what happened to the past twenty years of his life and why he's in America to begin with). Also, in an earlier flashback, Joseph Keating has memories of sitting in the trenches of World War One with an Arab chap with a sword who saved his life. Well, this Arab chap happened to be Are'do Muhammad Islam, the above mentioned Immortal Sufi-Warrior Mystic, who during a trip to Damascus after WWII would find a naked man who, well that's giving away to much.
I may just try making this into a series. I think the CBC might take it, or if that doesn't work, maybe Showcase or Bravo would be interesting in putting up a potentially controversial and genre bending series. Well, I better be going now. Time is running out on the computer.

Graphic Novel Ideas and the coming of East Coast City

I have an extension on my English essay. That's good. All I really need is to tidy it up a bit and get some quotations from the text. Oh, and write out a bibliography first. I'd like to thank my mom for giving me an early Christmas present to help (my very own copy of V for Vendetta. I am a happy little anarchist)

Right now I will not worry about such things. I'm at the library and I found this book by Neil Gaiman called The Last Temptation. It's a graphic novel with Alice Cooper in it, which looks pretty cool. Me and my writer's group are thinking about coming up with our own graphic novels. As I have brought up, I have an interest in writing and drawing my own comic books. I have some ideas for them, here's what I've got.

• The Second Coming, (working title) A story about how Jesus came back from the dead and comes to terms with stuff. It's a tie-in with my Song of The Sixties story ark. It starts of in an Easy Rider style with Jesus and Krishna going on a road trip across a fictional landscape of the human imagination were they join up with Buddha, Mary Magdalene, various greek and roman gods, Nai'Atha Farwalker and Azrin Zeynborn and maybe even Ralph. Yeah, let's put Ralph in it. It ends with Jesus regaining his role as the founder of Christianity and how he tries to stear it back in the right deriection. In the end he is killed by the Religious Right.
• Pacifica, a superhero series inspired a bit by Warren Ellis' The Authority. It takes place in a world similar to ours were superhero's are just beginning to become public knowledge. A bunch of people have colonized a small island in the Pacific ocean and have begun to build a Utopian society. When they begin to be attacked by other nations, they begin to gather together a team of superheros to protect them, that eventually become a global protection force. I don't have the heroes just yet, but I have an idea for one. He's a half-lizard Japanese soldier form WWII, named Kambei Kurosawa. His code name is the Untouchable. He's based off of old American comics that portrayed the Japanese as fanged monsters. I don't mean this to be racist, I just thought this would make an interesting character. The name is derived from Akira Kurosawa (Japanese director who created "The Seven Samurai" great movie) and one of the main characters from that movie, Kambei. I suppose there's a bit of Seven Samurai in it too. Hm, I'm using that theme in the Apocalypse novel as well. You think I can use the same plot element twice.
• Something staring Lord Byron. I just thought I could do something starring Lord Byron against various dark forces in my Mythos. Does this sound to corny or would it actually work? If it does, then Lord Byron will be the second Romantic Poet to make it into my Mythos. William Blake is already a champion of the Grail and his own Mythos is going to be mixed with mine.

I also came up with an idea for a new world to write stories in, though I havn't got any ideas. It's based of the City in Transmetropolitan, which is basically this sprawling metropolis were hundreds of cultures are born every day. I call it East Coast City and it streatched from New York to the Great Lakes. Its the hube of the Human Trading Empire and is home to over six billion people, a dozen different species and millions of different cultures.
I don't have any idea what these cultures are, but there's alot. The main culture would be around an area called the Eye, which is were all the commerce is held. It shouldn't be to far from New York, which has begun to sink, similar to Venice. (I stole this from Dan Simmon's Hyperion. A character mentions something called the New York Archepelego). New York has a mainly Muslim population in East Coast City and is known as Al-New York. There's still scatterings of Jews and Catholism. There should also be various sub-cultures who are basically primitive tribes living in this vaste world.
There should also be this one big strip of area inhabited by Bohemian Anarchists, some of whom are my desendents. This entire area is a self-contained anarchist utopia were people do as they please. I think I'll have it on the Canada side of the great lakes, near my home-town.
I don't have any idea what kinds of aliens will live here. I think I'm going to have one race of aliens that looks like the Greys. Don't know what I'll call them. Maybe an alien race similar to the Draan from Mythania. Another race of rodent people, similar to Ralph. Another race that is a big empire thing and is the dominant military power. (Humanity is the dominent economic power because it's at the hub of a giant worm-hole net. The rodent people used to be slaves of the emperial race, but some escaped and started various colonies, such as the one in East Coast City. Let's see this is the current species....

That's all I got for East Coast City. I plan on doing sketches of it though. You'll see it.
One last thing, when I do the pictures, I'd like it to have various advertisements for political candidates and products, but I want to have fun with it. Like "Ebola Cola. You drink it, it drinks you." I can't use that because it's from Transmetropolitan, but if anyone can come up with products for the future metropolis of East Coast City I'd appreciate it.

I went to Toronto. I am back now.

So were was I for the last few days, well two of them were at the Autism Confrence in Toronto with my mom. Many people from all over the world came to celebrate Autism. It was a good time and I liseaned to many interesting people that helped me understand me and my autism. For one thing, alot of people who spoke said they have to take drugs, I don't have to do this. Personally, I don't see myself taking drugs at all. I also got to see Temple Grandin. We didn't talk, but I liseaned to her speak about being autistic and some of her theories on Autism and what the archeologists in the future will think of the cow-herding thingies she desighned are.

I also got a book called Urville, which is about a city made up by a guy named Gilles Trehin who has Aspergers. It has various pictures he drew of the cities buildings, as well as a time line of the city. It's pretty cool and I was able to get the last copy they hade (along with a button that says "I (heart) Urville"). My mom and I latter disussed that I could make something like Gilles Trehin's Urville book for Mythania, since my mom thinks Mythania is much more detailed. Personally, I think he did very good as he has desighned an entire city to some very good details. I suppose there are people who find Mythania interesting, so I may just see if Mythania can be published into a book. I also picked up a book about Neil Gaiman's Sandman, consisting of short stories by various other writers within the Sandman universe and a Michael Moorcock novel in which Elric fights the Nazis or something to that effect.

As many of my readers and freinds would know. I desire to go live in Toronto. I don't know were I came up with the idea, but I don't want to live in the place I stayed. It was all tall buisness buildings and folks in suits. I'd prefer a more artistic community. Anyways, moving to Toronto is still a long ways of if ever, since I'll be busy at university and trying to stop the apocalypse.

Also, I learned that down south in Yankeeland the traditional insulting of the opponents. Apparently there are these two people from opposite ends of the political spectrum who are insulting each other. I don't remember there names, which is good because they are both idiots. Everyone should forget there names because they are idiots and then they'd fell silly, which they should be doing anyway. All in all, if this is what Americans do during politics they shouldn't vote for anyone. I was thinking about starting my own party for the election, but it is based in my mythos so no one would get it. It was going to be something along the lines of "Vote Helen X. We'll get ride of corruption in the government by eleminating it," or "Vote for Helen X because everyone else is an idiot." or "Ask not what your country has done to you, but what you can do to your country. This November, vote for Helen X and put the mad dog down." I like the last one. Hope the CIA dosn't feel insulted. I'd apologize, but I'm not sure they can get me in Canada.

CIA, I don't want to harm your president. I think he's an idiot and that somebody should impeach him, and I believe that him and his supporters are all insane and should be institutionalized, as well as anyone else who takes this whole nation thing seriously, but I don't want to kill the moron. It's not polite to kill people, even if they are murderers. That's something a government would do.

Anyway, I'm going to go know. Need to figure out were I put my homework.
