Day 1, The Plane Ride

Okay, I’ve held this off long enough. Let’s get to talking about my trip to Italy and Greece.
I left for Europe from the Toronto International Airport on March 7. We met in the parking lot of my school and went on a really big bus that hade places to put our backpacks and everything. We landed in Toronto and went thru a long and frustrating work of getting past all the paper work. We had to pick up a hairbrush for me because I forgot to get one, presuming my dad would pack one. I told you my dad was coming, right. Anyway, we eventually got on the plane. I got a window seat beside my dad. The inflight movie was "Pride and Prejudice," which I didn't watch. I read a bit of Stephen King's "The Drawing of the Three," and I kept thinking of the bit with Eddie Dean, who is smuggling cocaine into the U.S. and is on a plane. In the book, I think I was a little bit after that.
I got to have a bit of sleep on the airplane, and for breakfast I had something called a Breakfast Box, which had an omelette and a little cake thing that was very good. We also got to see a bit of the Alps and some islands. The Alps are the white mountains we have a picture off. I hope you find them very impressive.
Landing was the worst part, because of the pressure that came in my ears. Thankfully my dad had some gum on him and we were able to get the rest of it out on my first day in Rome.

You Should Be a Film Writer

You don't just create compelling stories, you see them as clearly as a movie in your mind.

What I thought of the movie, V for Vendetta

Well, they left Vicious Cabaret out. I have a sneaking suspicion it has something to do with Alan Moore’s reluctance to have his name on any movies based on his work. Even so, I enjoyed the movie V for Vendetta very much.
For those of you who haven’t read V for Vendetta (such as the people sitting behind me and my dad who wondered why Natalie Portman, who plays Evey in the movie, had to shave her head) click here to see the post I made when I heard about it, or click here to go to the movie website, or click here to go to the Wikipedia article on the book, which may just ruin the entire film by giving you the ending. That saves me a lot of explaining, so I can get to the post.
In my opinion, V for Vendetta is a very good movie and you should go see it. I warn you, there is nudity (dead people from a concentration camp and some same-sex erotic photos), swearing (people say bollocks a lot) and lots and lots of violence (V is skilled at fighting and there are explosions to the 1812 overture). There were a few changes, such as the dictator character in the movie is called Adam Sutler, while in the book is it is Adam Susan. I believe they did this to make the dictator seem more Hitler-like (they crossed the original name with Hitler, Su-san, Hi-tler, Su-tler). The character in the book is crazy, not in the usual Jews-are-stealing-my-money way, but in the fact he’s in love with the computer Fate (which isn’t in the movie). I can except this diffrence from the book. They also replace the original apocalypse of nuclear war between the USA and the Soviet Union with biological warfare, which I will also except because the cold war is over and this effected the Hollywood people’s thought process somehow.
Okay, I don’t want to give away anything about the movie. Just go see it. It’s good. It rocks. The Watchowski Brother’s wrote the script. Go see it know, or tomorrow because it’s really late. I'll be publishing my Europe trip later.

I'm Back, Then Why Do I Feel So Bad

I’m home, hello people.
Okay, so I got home on the 16th, which is a welcome surprise in a way. Really, the moment I got back I sort of felt sad. I really miss Italy and Greece. I miss having somewhere to go everyday and all the history and beauty of Italy and Greece. When I got back to Canada I just thought about how much the landscape sucked compared to the rolling mountains of Greece. Also, I really don’t like the state of my life. I just feel dissatisfied, I suppose. That and my sisters are a great pinnacle of stress for me.
Anyways, I’ll get around to telling you all about the trip at a latter date, mainly because I don’t want to talk about the trip now. I just wanted to tell you I’m back.

A Postcard from an internet cafe in Athens

Dear Mom, sisters, grandparents, relatives and Steph,
Sorry about the lack of communication from Europe, but this is the first internet cafe that actually works. It is called Mocafe, and I don't know the exact adress. It is very close to the Ionis hotel is all I know.
Anyway, I am enjoying myself very much and have seen many strange and wonderful things that I do not know if I can fit into this post. My dad says that he is missing his girls alot, which I presumes means he's missing mom and my sisters. Speaking of sisters, Delila would have a fit hear in Greece. The souviner shops are full of saytrs (which I have learned have really big phallus) and decks of cards decorated with "Greek Lovers," which is basically ancient porn. I don't have either of these, but I have seen them. The cards are sold on the front desk of my hotel.
Athens is very much like an industrial Canadian or American city except most stuff is speplt in greek and there are ancient ruins in the centre (i.e. The Parthenon). We also saw the rock were Saul/St. Paul gave his sermon about the unknown god (i.e. Jesus). We just saw those today and they were very cool. Another thing about Athens that is diffrent from Toronto is that everybody smokes, and I mean everywhere. People are really big on smokes in Greece.
I'd have to say that the favorite part of my trip is Rome, because it was so freaking cool. You can never take the phrase Rome wasn't built in a day for granted once you have actually seen Rome. They place is huge and has all this history. It's hard to believe people still live there, but they do because I suppose somebody has to. I saw lots of cool stuff in Rome such as The Vatican, The Coloseaum, The Trevi Fountain, The Four Rivers Fountain, The Spanish Steps and several other things that I don't know the names of. If anyone ever gets a chance to see Rome take it. You will not be disapointed, I'll explain about it more when I get home and have a rest, because I havn't gotten alot of rest and have been on my feet practically all the trip.
So, I will be home soon. I'm just going to take a short island cruise, and then I will be home to share all the photos I got. I love you all, and the time from this post is the time in Athens. Goodbye to mom and the girls, and my various readers. We will not be able to make any further contact with you after this post. I hope that one of you reads it.
Lots of Love,
Writer

1 day till Italy and Greece.

I just finished the Lorna Wing essay. It was painful and full of stress.
Tomorrow is when I’ll be leaving for Italy. I’m kind of nervous because I’ve never been to another continent before. I know I’m going to have good people with me (i.e. my dad, my Latin Teacher) but I’m still kind of nervous. My basic idea is that this is going to be like my trip to America last year, only more moving, no sisters and it’s in Europe. I know that this is going to be one of the best memories of this purgatory called High School, but the anticipation is killing me.

You Are a Natural Flirt

Believe it or not, you're a really effective flirt.

Your attitude and confidence make you a natural flirt.

Okay, so you know how to take and post a Blogthing.
But you're no addict. (Hey, this quiz *proves* it!)
For you, Blogthings is more of a healthy habit.
At least, that's what you tell yourself!

I don’t know about that answer.

Your Brain's Pattern

Your mind is a multi dimensional wonderland, with many layers.
You're the type that always has multiple streams of though going.
And you can keep these thoughts going at any time.
You're very likely to be engaged in deep thought - and deep conversation.

Slow and Steady

Your friends see you as painstaking and fussy.
They see you as very cautious, extremely careful, a slow and steady plodder.
It'd really surprise them if you ever did something impulsively or on the spur of the moment.
They expect you to examine everything carefully from every angle and then usually decide against it.

I’d like my friends to run this one by me.
There having difficulties with the blog today. I find it frustrating because I want to post this. Stupid human technology.
I hate school. I hate it a lot. I have to do a lot of writing that I don’t like and I’m starting to realize I can get all the important information that I actually want to know from the public library. What I really want is to live in a place were I have pure artistic freedom, in a place far away from civilization were I can write and make pictures and things. Somewhere in North Ontario by the side of a lake.
I guess I’d like a wife or something like that. I’m not sure I’d actually want to marry her, just live together. My mom says that I shouldn’t worry about that, because I should be working on having friends, but I don’t know. I want to know what having a girlfriend is like. Preferably a girlfreind who likes RPG’s, since I don’t really want to be around people except for possibly a girlfreind.
(Sigh), Life can be hard for one who is an Aspie.
So anyways, I won't be getting back to you guys, so be cool and excellent and don't break anything while I'm gone.
Leaving On A Jet Plane, by Chantel Kreviazuk
"I'm ... I'm
...All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go
I'm standin' here outside your door
I hate to wake you up to say goodbye

But the dawn is breakin', it's early morn
The taxi's waitin', he's blowin' his horn
Already I'm so lonesome I could die

So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll wait for me
Hold me like you'll never let me go'
Cause I'm leaving on a jet plane
I don't know when I'll be back again
Oh, babe, I hate to go

I'm ...
There's so many times I've let you down
So many times I've played around
I'll tell you now, they don't mean a thing

Every place I go, I think of you
Every song I sing, I sing for you
When I come back I'll wear your wedding ring

So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll wait for me
Hold me like you'll never let me go'

Cause I'm leaving on a jet plane
I don't know when I'll be back again
Oh, babe, I hate to go

Now the time has come to leave you
One more time, oh, let me kiss you
And close your eyes and I'll be on my way

Dream about the days to come
When I won't have to leave alone
About the times that I won't have to say

...Oh, kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll wait for me
Hold me like you'll never let me go'

Cause I'm leaving on a jet plane
I don't know when I'll be back again
Oh, babe, I hate to go

And I'm leaving on a jet plane
I don't know when I'll be back again
Oh, babe, I hate to go

But I'm leaving on a jet plane
(Ah ah ah ah)
Leaving on a jet plane
(Ah ah ah ah)
Leaving on a jet plane

3 days till Italy & Greece

If I was a good boy who did my homework, I would not be commenting on my blog. I am doing my homework I suppose, I just find it very difficult at the moment.
I’m suppose to be writing an informal essay on how a psychologist, sociologist or anthropologist has effected my life. I’m doing Lorna Wing, the psychiatrist who named Asperger’s syndrome and wrote a very important paper on the subject. I can’t seem to actually do it, and it’s due in three days, two really since my mom think’s I should spend Tuesday getting all emotionally prepared to go to Europe. I think I will get it done once I actually get around to concentrating.
I am reaching a problem with V for Vendetta. For one thing my parents are unlikely to take me and it is an R rating. I don’t think I have the resources or knowledge to fake my age to get into see it. I’ll need to think of a plan to get in.
Going to work on my essay know.

5 days till Italy & Greece

I should be working on a short story for English. It should be very easy, but I just can’t seem to get the first bit down. I figure that I can do it in a snap once I get the first bit down. Also, I have to finish Frankenstein and write an article about how a famous anthropologist or sociologist or psychologist has changed my life (I’m doing Dr. Lorna Wing, who came up with the term Asperger’s Syndrome). I hope that I have writing energy left for Europe.
Also, my last post for the large amount of tests featured below was that I would be gone in nine days, at the time that was wrong. I got the information from my EA and she probably didn’t include weekends. She does that sometimes.
There was an old woman from Denmark
Who raised a grey bipedal Aardvark
It met up with a man
A Canadian named Dan
And made him a comic book landmark
There was an alchemist named Clark
Who hade a great fear of the Dark
He made a sunrod
But the rod was a fraud
And could barely give of a small spark
Those are some limricks I put together because I am bored.
Anyway, looking forward to Italy and Greece. Expect lots of pictures.

9 days till Italy & Greece

I have been thinking about the Italy and Greece trip a lot recently. The idea is kind of scaring me. I’ve never been on a plane before, and I’ve never been to another continent before. I’m probably going to be fine, but I’m a little scared.
In other news, I have a test in Anthropology, Sociology and Psychology on Monday, and I have nine days to finish Frankenstein. I plan on getting it done over the weekend. I’m not enjoying the book at all. I have no problems with the story or the idea, but I don’t like the writing. I find it tedious, like most books of the period, and the characters are slightly unbelievable. I hope Broken Ground isn’t this boring. All apologies to Mary Shelley and any fans of Frankenstein out there, I’m just expressing my opinion.
There is something wrong with my Yahoo radio. It can’t seem to keep any of the marks I have on it tonight. I’m probably going to turn it of soon. I just did. I’m listening to Little Steven’s Underground Garage. Something about San Francisco.
Got a new book today, it is Cerebus, the first volume of the comic book saga of Cerebus the Aardvark. My mom got it for me on Amazon. It is very good and I like Elrod the Albino, a parody of Elric of Melniborne. He talks like Foghorn Leghorn.
Think I’ll write my novel know, peace out.

66 Stream-o-conciousness route

So I was in English class not really concentrating on my work when I got this great idea for a T-shirt. I was feeling kind of silly and laid back and wasn’t really concentrating and I thought to myself, hm This would make a good T-shirt. So I figured that I should make a blog post about cool things that I would like to see on T-shirts. This is that list.
  • I'm not high. This is just me on a good day. This was inspired by the afore menchoned English class. I do not claim to be an expert on how people act under the influence of drugs, but I figured that one would act silly, laid back and would not be very good at concentrating.
  • Naos is my Homie. Parody of the Jesus is my homie T-shirt, only with Naos. He's going to be in alot of novels that I write. He is suppose to be a Christ-like figure, so I suppose it is an apropriate parody, and to any of the religious right that stumble onto this by some acsident, I say to you lighten up. I'm not trying to surpress you, I'll go into more of a rant later.

Huh, that’s all I can think of. Awell, I have more stuff to talk about.

So awhile back I saw a bit of this documentation on how the religious right views same-sex marriage, and this one Christian said that treatments of Christians has been basically the same since the 1st and 2nd century. I find this ridiculous for many reasons. For one thing there has been this great big time gap, most of it being ruled by a CHRISTIAN THEOCRACY!!! Also, This Christian theocracy wasn’t exactly a good move on the part of Christian religion and was full of all kinds of intolerance and genocide (Spanish Inquisition and Witch burnings come immediately to mind).
Really, this whole thing makes me angry. When people talk about that I want to point at them and yell "Cannibal, Cannibal," and show them what it’s like to be a Christian in the 1st and 2nd century. And these Christians are suppressing homosexual people by calling them sinners. So you Christians are a bunch of hypocrites. Ha.

And on a lighter note, I will be expecting book one of Cerebus the Aardvark in the mail. That is all. Go back to your lives. Dear God leave a comment.

Oh, and we hade the art contest. I didn’t win.

Oh, and if you go to Neil Gaiman's journal you can see a wicked cool painting he has in his room. This is my 222 post, in case people are interested. I think that that bit of information is kind of cool personally. Again, please comment, and goodbye.

A Backpack of Homework (plus one busted button and a dead/dreaming squid god)

Because I believe I don’t blog nearly as much as I should, I blog today and will be seeing if I can blog even more often.
Well, first thing that comes emediatlty comes to mind is while I was walking home, the button on my pants fell off. I’m surprised at this because I am not a very fat man. I am really rather skinny. I am also not really a man by the terms of my culture, but I fancy myself as outside the main culture so HA!
I’ve got a lot of homework to do. I have to finish up to chapter 13 in Frankenstein tonight, then make a right up for Chapters 9 and 10, and then find themes in a short story called A Bolt of White Cloth, and then write about a sculpture for Art class. That and I’m working on a novel, so I have a lot of work ahead of me.
Also, you can read the classic Lovecraft short story Call of Cthulhu on Wikipedia. Enjoy.

I really need to post more

Okay. So, yesterday my parents got some movies from the Rogers. I got to see Mirrormask, the movie that Neil Gaiman wrote the screenplay to, and I found it very good. Then I watched a documentary about the cult following of Lord of the Rings, including how much hippies liked it. I was aware that hippies were into Lord of the Rings from the introduction of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower series, which I will be going into at greater length later).
I’m listening to my Yahoo radio again. I wasn’t listening to it for a long time and I decided to listen to it again. I’m listening to a Jethro Tull song called The Curse right now. It’s just gotten into a band called "Ten Years Latter,". They sound okay.
I am reading the series The Dark Tower, by Stephen King. I’m not sure were I got the information on the series, but I love it so far. It’s about this guy called Roland, who’s on a quest to find this Dark Tower (yes, I suppose that bit is kind of obvious). It is very good and I recommend that you get it. The first book in the series is called The Gunslinger and is about Roland tracking down the Man in Black, who can answer a lot of questions about how Roland can find the Dark Tower. The Man in Black is also a really bad guy and appears in a bunch of other Stephen King novels under a different identity.
The Dark Tower is also a fragment of a novel supposedly written by C.S. Lewis. There is some doubt about this, since the hero has some homosexual traits involving some horn in his forehead, I don’t really understand it myself. All I know is that I have a copy of the alleged C.S. Lewis unfinished novel.
Well, that’s all.

A Long Over-Due Post

Right. Don’t really know what to talk about.
Well, I went out for dinner with my family. We talked about how good it’s going to be for me and Dad to go to Italy and Greece. Italy and Greece is going to be pretty interesting and cool. I’m really excited, I just don’t look like it. I’m really tired from walking back from the restaurant.
In art class I finished my statue. I’ll see if I can get a picture of it on my blog sometime.
I am seeing a lot of advantages in a homosexual relationship. For instance, at supper my sister wanted some of my food, despite the fact it was my food. This is probably not a problem for a male/male couple who will eat there own food, or a female/female couple that will want to try there own food anyway. This is just a thought I hade.
That’s all.

A Hard Day's Night (At least if it was night)

I am whopped. I mean it, I feel exhausted. My feet hurt. There is my physical condition out of the way, lets talk about how my day went.
I’m working on a comic book about my imaginary friend, Ralph. He is featured in a sword and sorcery universe. Since Ralph is a giant mouse-like creature, this may sound like a rip-off of Cerebus. I plan on differentiating on Cerebus by leaning more to the left of the political spectrum and not writing anything misogynist, which I am not. I do not plan on actually publishing these comics, but I will see if I can get a few posts up. It will parody sword and sorcery, the Bush administration, Dave Sim’s Cerebus, Frank Herbert’s Dune, Forgotten Realms and any thing else I can think of.
In Art, I am in a statue building contest. The due date was Feb 20, but apparently I got wasted with some friends and lost three or four days and know it’s due on Feb 17. Damn my Bohemian Artist-in-Paris lifestyle. Damn it I say. (I wasn’t really wasted, it’s just that in artist competitions stuff like this comes up).
We are reading Frankenstein in English. It is a good book so far. I would have liked to live in the time-period it was written in on some level. I wouldn’t want to live in Continental Europe at that time because people wouldn’t be able to understand my autism and all my favorite writers weren’t born at that time, but I would have loved to stay at Lake Geneva with Lord Byron and Mary Shelley and meet these people. Odds are, what with people nor understanding my autism in that period, I probably would have ended up among these people, and later die of opium overdose and complications in tuberculosis or syphilis or something.
That’s all. Later folks.

RANDOM SONG LYRICS LLAMA!!!!!!!!!!!(random polka music)

Clean shirt, new shoes
and I don't know where I am goin' to.
Silk suit, black tie,
I don't need a reason why.
They come runnin' just as fast as they can
'cos every girl crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man.

Dream On, Dream On
Dream yourself a dream come true
Dream On, Dream On
Dream until your dream come true
Dream On, Dream On, Dream On...
We're going down, down in an earlier round
And Sugar, we're going down swinging
I'll be your number one with a bullet
A loaded God complex, cock it and pull it
So take me back to Constantinople
No, you can't go back to Constantinople
Been a long time gone, Constantinople
Why did Constantinople get the works?
That's nobody's business but the Turks
London calling to the faraway towns
Now war is declared, and battle come down
London calling to the underworld
Come out of the cupboard, you boys and girls
London calling, now don't look to us
Phoney Beatlemania has bitten the dust
London calling, see we ain't got no swing'
Cept for the ring of that truncheon thing
Psychic spies from China
Try to steal your mind's elation
Little girls from Sweden
Dream of silver screen quotations
And if you want these kind of dreams
It's Californication
I was born in a crossfire hurricane
And I howled at my ma in the driving rain
But it's all right now, in fact it's a gas
But it's all right
I'm Jumpin' Jack Flash, it's a gas, gas, gas
They say that there's a broken light for every heart on Broadway,
They say that life's a game and then you take the broad way,
They give you masks and costumes and an outline to the story,
Then leave you all to improvise their Vicious Cabaret.
I know that when I say this,
I may be stepping on pins and needles;
But I don't like all these people
slagging her for breaking up the Beatles.
(Don't blame it on Yokey)
if I was John and you were Yoko,
I would gladly give up musical genius
Oh my my this here Anakin guy
May be Vader someday later - now he's just a small fry
And he left his home and kissed his mommy goodbye
Sayin' "Soon I'm gonna be a Jedi"
Come in here, dear boy, have a cigar.
You're gonna go far, fly high,
You're never gonna die, you're gonna make it if you try;they're gonna love you.
Well I've always had a deep respect, and I mean that most sincerely.
The band is just fantastic, that is really what I think.
Oh by the way, which one's Pink?
Tin soldiers and Nixon coming,
We're finally on our own.
This summer I hear the drumming,
Four dead in Ohio.
The universe itself keeps on expanding and expanding
In all of those directions it can whizz
As fast as it can go and that's the speed of light you know
twelve million miles a minute and that's the fastest speed there is.
So remember when your deeling very small and insecure
How amazingly unlikely is your birth
and pray that there's intellegent life somewhere out in space
Because their's bugger all down here on Earth.
I choose a bunch of random songs I like, and I'd like to see if any of you guys can get them. Yes Steph, I know that you did something like this.

Snow Day

School’s out because of excesive amount of snow up here. It’s strange because it’s been really not snowy for the past few days and know it’s like Saskatchewan out there. I was planning my whole day on the assumption I was going to school too.
Day’s been pretty lazy. Fiddled around on the computer for most of it. I’m just blogging to tell everyone how things are going for me. I’m listening to the Beatles at the moment. Life is good at the present moment, but could be better.
That’s it.

Can't Think Of A Title. What of it?

I joined a group on Robert Silverberg awhile back on yahoo. Robert Silverberg is a very important science fiction writer and I was hoping if he could give me some tips. I havn't sent him any of my work as of yet, but I'm not so sure if I should. I trust Robert Silverberg not to steal it, since he could probubly could come up with something better. But there are all these other guys their who I don't completely know and might plagerize my work.
Speaking of plagerism, I think I hade a nightmare awhile back were I was accused of plagerising somebody's work. That could be an interesting story, know that I think about it. Somebody's dream being plagerized. There is something very Neil Gaiman about that. I think I may try that concept out. It sounds interesting.
Well, That's about it. I am fine, and I will try to put up a link to Neil Gaiman's blog. If it isn't their it's not working out. Peace.

New Semester

Somehow, I feel I should have written that I am finished exams on Thursday, but I didn’t so here is what I’ve been up too.
First off, I am finished exams and have passed them all. I know look forward to a Math burning party in which I will burn all my math notes.
Second, I am know on my second semester. I have sociology, anthropology and psychology (that’s all one course), Art and English. I already have to do an art project. I have to make a small statue of bristle board. I chose to do an anti-war memorial, but I hade to toune the bloodyness of my original concept.
I’m looking at one of my hands right know. The veins are very visible. It kind of looks like it belongs to one of the walking dead. Weird.
Anyway, that about covers it.
