The Naos and Helen Sestinas

I posted these up on deviantart awhile back, at separate times. Helen's Sestina I just put up today. I decided I might as well post them up on the Aspie Diaries for the hell of it. The basic premise is that Naos and Helen are both writing sestinas for each other. I don't think these are going to be in the mythos proper, which is going to have some William Blake style poetry at some point, but I figured it would be nice. Enjoy.

Helen's Sestina to Naos

Come to me. For you, I break down my barriers
Only for you would I open the doors of my soul
Burn it. Burn it all down. Turn me to a savage
Save me from the evil empire that brings death
And I will save you from loneliness, my love
Beautiful and mystic harbinger, whose name is Naos

Will you tell me my love, my only Naos
Did you learn to bring down politic’s dark barriers
And will you please tell me of metaphysics and love
You bring out the hidden romantic of my soul
It’s truly a relief from being the avatar of death
To lay down my arms, sheltered by you, the savage.

Savage. It has a negative connotation, the word savage
But you and I, we know better, don’t we Naos.
We have seen the civilized world, and it is death
They are trapped, fogged in shadows and behind barriers
I was once like that, till Father saved my soul
And I meet you, and learned to fly with your love

I celebrate, dance and sing in your love
Two of us, media atrocities, bohemian savages
I agree, we are united, emanations of the same soul
We are Helenaos. We are not Helen and Naos
Back and forth and in and out, till all barriers
are broken down, bringing on our symbolic death.

And then we rise, Phoenix-like from death
Both male and female, united by our love
Physical, emotional, spiritual, national and mental barriers
They all fall down to us, the eternal savage
You know I dream of this too, my Naos
I to long for the complete union of our souls

“But we truly are one in our souls.”
Said the mystic to the avatar of death
(I am the avatar. The mystic is Naos)
I say “I know, I know, my love.”
But there is still the infernal barrier
Preventing union, keeping us two savages

But at least we’re savages, with a heart and soul
You are a breaker of barriers, of the avatar of death
And for that I love you. I love you Naos.

Naos' Sestina to Helen

O Helen, I stand in awe of your beauty
You, O divine killer and slayer of men
For despite that I look upon you with love
That I will give unto you for eternity
O Helen, my lover, my only, my goddess
Beautiful, Ethereal, Immortal Helen

When we sleep I see you, O Helen
In my dreams were you become beauty
And fulfill your role as universal goddess
And are worshipped by millions of men
But you have chosen me to spend eternity
And in return I give you unconditional love

And you will get it, all my love
For you are my muse, O Helen
I could spend all of long eternity
In mere contemplation of your beauty
Away from the trappings of men
And worship you as a goddess

For truly you are a goddess
Yes, of death but also of love
both loved and feared by man
I sing your name, Discordia-Kali-Helen
In your divine and tantric beauty
From toes to forehead, eternity

represented in your flesh. Eternity
I say, for what else should a goddess
be, but the embodiment of universal beauty
and wisdom and strength and love.
That is what you are, my Helen
Why you are loved by all men

While you were created for The Man.
He did not know your soul was for eternity
And that he became unworthy of you, O Helen
No one knows of your identity as divine goddess
except me, and Helen I give you my love
Helen, the avatar of spiritual and physical beauty

For you are the avatar of true beauty, worked beyond the skills of mortal man
And I swear that for all eternity, I will give you my love
My Goddess, my angelic Helen

The Angels have the Phone Box

I just watched an episode of Doctor Who and boy was it cool. Basically it's about this woman named Sally Sparrow who must get the Tardis back to the Doctor who has been sent back to 1969 by the Weeping Angels who are really scarry statues that come alive when your not looking and kill you.
The best part of it was the secret message the Doctor hide as a DVD Easter Egg. The Easter Egg is encountered before, as Sally's friend's brother is obsessed with the Easter Egg he found in various DVDs. Later, when Sally has it all figured out, she has a conversation with the Doctor on the screen, which he can do because he has the transcript that was written down by her friend's brother who makes comments such as "I love that part, the Angels got the Phone Box. I have that on a T-shirt."
Alright, if that dosn't work. Here's a link. Yes, I do love Wikipedia.
I think it would be very cool to be the Doctor, or have a life like the Doctor where I get to travel time in a super cool phone box thing. That and I could just be walking along when a complete stranger says my name and tells me to take these notes because the fate of the universe hangs in the balance or something. That and I could see Woodstock twice!

My Weeklong trip to the Cottage of Hell

Well, I'm back from a week long vacation to a cottage on the Bruce Peninsula that was badly built and had a terrible shower and I couldn't be happier. The cottage I was at was terribly built and I didn't like it at all. I was also sharing it with my entire family and some of my relatives who have six people in there family, two of them little girls so you can imagine the screaming when you combine that with Sprite.

So, a summary of my vacation is in order. I can't give you much in the way of a complete linear narrative, but I can tell you I did have a good time. I went to various beaches, went for a few hikes with my relatives and emediate family, saw an example of Native-Canadian dancing and took part in an intertribal dance, bought twelve books including William S. Burrough's "Naked Lunch", watched an old Chinese Kung-Fu B-Movie that had a terrible plot but still remained pretty awesome, hit my head repetedly on a door that was to small, had a bat fly at me, liseaned to alot of Dead Dog Cafe, had a camp fire and had fudge. I can't remember what else I did besides watching my copy of "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly."

I have decided I am officially decided I am holidayed out. I will probubly take this back when it happens, but I want to go to school again. Maybe I won't take it back because I'm only going part time and I'm doing philosophy and art, which look like there going to be really good courses for me. I'm also looking for people to play Dungeons and Dragons with, probubly using an adjusted version of Mythania.

On another note, I may have to change the name of Mythania. It turns out the name is used by a MMORG and another world called Mythania that has some similarities, for instance it has steam technology and rodent people although from what I've read of these rodent people they are drastically different from the tawaze. Here's a list of other Mythania links.
That's about it. Hope you guys find it interesting. Sorry it took so long to write all this.

I'm back from the cottage again and this time I'm posting!

Hey, sorry I didn't blog in awhile. This is turning out to be the August of Cottage Trips. No sooner do I get home from my relatives cottage then I go back there with my entire family, and I did have time to blog last time but I didn't because I am lazy. Just to warn you I'm going for another trip next week. I'm going with the cousins whole will have the highest chance of playing Dungeons and Dragons with me, which will be cool. I'd love to do the Mythania RPG, but I don't have that quite ironed out yet. Not to bad, I plan on doing lot's of new and exciting things with Forgotten Realms.
Anyway, the cottage trips were fun. I went tubing alot, and there is a good chance of me sending you pictures of myself tubing. I got two new books, one having a bunch of short stories by H.P. Lovecraft and the other having a bunch of Poetry by Lord Byron, despite the fact I believe I have more in common with Percy Brysse Shelley. Shelley is defenetly going to be the next poet I pick up. I also finished Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, which as recent readers would know I borrowed from my Uncle.
I didn't work alot on my novel, and it's starting to look like I won't be getting much of a chance to get it finished completely by the end of Summer. I do believe I am making progress on it, and at some point today I will get to work on it. I'm also getting alot of ideas about the whole Conspiracy-Urban Fantasy-Counter Culture megaseries. I'm thinking about calling it The Rosicrucian Cycle at the moment, as the secret society I concentrate most on is based somewhat on the Rosicrucians, and to The Invisibles as well. I'm thinking about working Grant Morrison in as a character, as I want to have historical characters appear in the novel. I feel that Ken Kesey should appear in the 1960's thing, which I'm calling The Fellowship something-something, depends on how many books are in it. I have a feeling it may be one of the longest in the megaseries. I thought I could do four books, but then it seemed like five, and then I had no idea what I was going to do. But combine that with the Apocalypse storyline and The Howlers (one trilogy and a few short stories) and probubly some kind of history of the organization before that, which I'm probubly going to put as an appendix in the Fellowship and Apocalypse books....Well, I've probubly given to much away. I'll stop talking about it.
Anyway, I'll try to call back in. Also, I'm putting 7 on the labels for this post, as I will do on every seventh day of the month because it's one of the special numbers. The same will be said for all other numbers envolved.
