A Blogthing and Something Crazy

Your Quirk Factor: 63%

You're so quirky, it's hard for you to tell the difference between quirky and normal.
No doubt about it, there's little about you that's "normal" or "average."

And know for something completely different, The Llama Song.

Sorry, no pictures of the inside of the Pantheon because it had bad lighting. It was really neat though. Go there some time.

Day 1, The Plane Ride

Okay, I’ve held this off long enough. Let’s get to talking about my trip to Italy and Greece.
I left for Europe from the Toronto International Airport on March 7. We met in the parking lot of my school and went on a really big bus that hade places to put our backpacks and everything. We landed in Toronto and went thru a long and frustrating work of getting past all the paper work. We had to pick up a hairbrush for me because I forgot to get one, presuming my dad would pack one. I told you my dad was coming, right. Anyway, we eventually got on the plane. I got a window seat beside my dad. The inflight movie was "Pride and Prejudice," which I didn't watch. I read a bit of Stephen King's "The Drawing of the Three," and I kept thinking of the bit with Eddie Dean, who is smuggling cocaine into the U.S. and is on a plane. In the book, I think I was a little bit after that.
I got to have a bit of sleep on the airplane, and for breakfast I had something called a Breakfast Box, which had an omelette and a little cake thing that was very good. We also got to see a bit of the Alps and some islands. The Alps are the white mountains we have a picture off. I hope you find them very impressive.
Landing was the worst part, because of the pressure that came in my ears. Thankfully my dad had some gum on him and we were able to get the rest of it out on my first day in Rome.

Goofing of when I should be doing my homework

Your Hair Should Be Orange

Expressive, deep, and one of a kind.
You pull off "weird" well - hardly anyone notices.

Gobble. Gobble.

You Are Somewhat Machiavellian

You're not going to mow over everyone to get ahead...
But you're also powerful enough to make things happen for yourself.
You understand how the world works, even when it's an ugly place.
You just don't get ugly yourself - unless you have to!

You Should Be a Film Writer

You don't just create compelling stories, you see them as clearly as a movie in your mind.
You have a knack for details and dialogue. You can really make a character come to life.
Chances are, you enjoy creating all types of stories. The joy is in the storytelling.
And nothing would please you more than millions of people seeing your story on the big screen!

What I thought of the movie, V for Vendetta

Well, they left Vicious Cabaret out. I have a sneaking suspicion it has something to do with Alan Moore’s reluctance to have his name on any movies based on his work. Even so, I enjoyed the movie V for Vendetta very much.
For those of you who haven’t read V for Vendetta (such as the people sitting behind me and my dad who wondered why Natalie Portman, who plays Evey in the movie, had to shave her head) click here to see the post I made when I heard about it, or click here to go to the movie website, or click here to go to the Wikipedia article on the book, which may just ruin the entire film by giving you the ending. That saves me a lot of explaining, so I can get to the post.
In my opinion, V for Vendetta is a very good movie and you should go see it. I warn you, there is nudity (dead people from a concentration camp and some same-sex erotic photos), swearing (people say bollocks a lot) and lots and lots of violence (V is skilled at fighting and there are explosions to the 1812 overture). There were a few changes, such as the dictator character in the movie is called Adam Sutler, while in the book is it is Adam Susan. I believe they did this to make the dictator seem more Hitler-like (they crossed the original name with Hitler, Su-san, Hi-tler, Su-tler). The character in the book is crazy, not in the usual Jews-are-stealing-my-money way, but in the fact he’s in love with the computer Fate (which isn’t in the movie). I can except this diffrence from the book. They also replace the original apocalypse of nuclear war between the USA and the Soviet Union with biological warfare, which I will also except because the cold war is over and this effected the Hollywood people’s thought process somehow.
Okay, I don’t want to give away anything about the movie. Just go see it. It’s good. It rocks. The Watchowski Brother’s wrote the script. Go see it know, or tomorrow because it’s really late. I'll be publishing my Europe trip later.

I'm Back, Then Why Do I Feel So Bad

I’m home, hello people.
Okay, so I got home on the 16th, which is a welcome surprise in a way. Really, the moment I got back I sort of felt sad. I really miss Italy and Greece. I miss having somewhere to go everyday and all the history and beauty of Italy and Greece. When I got back to Canada I just thought about how much the landscape sucked compared to the rolling mountains of Greece. Also, I really don’t like the state of my life. I just feel dissatisfied, I suppose. That and my sisters are a great pinnacle of stress for me.
Anyways, I’ll get around to telling you all about the trip at a latter date, mainly because I don’t want to talk about the trip now. I just wanted to tell you I’m back.

A Postcard from an internet cafe in Athens

Dear Mom, sisters, grandparents, relatives and Steph,
Sorry about the lack of communication from Europe, but this is the first internet cafe that actually works. It is called Mocafe, and I don't know the exact adress. It is very close to the Ionis hotel is all I know.
Anyway, I am enjoying myself very much and have seen many strange and wonderful things that I do not know if I can fit into this post. My dad says that he is missing his girls alot, which I presumes means he's missing mom and my sisters. Speaking of sisters, Delila would have a fit hear in Greece. The souviner shops are full of saytrs (which I have learned have really big phallus) and decks of cards decorated with "Greek Lovers," which is basically ancient porn. I don't have either of these, but I have seen them. The cards are sold on the front desk of my hotel.
Athens is very much like an industrial Canadian or American city except most stuff is speplt in greek and there are ancient ruins in the centre (i.e. The Parthenon). We also saw the rock were Saul/St. Paul gave his sermon about the unknown god (i.e. Jesus). We just saw those today and they were very cool. Another thing about Athens that is diffrent from Toronto is that everybody smokes, and I mean everywhere. People are really big on smokes in Greece.
I'd have to say that the favorite part of my trip is Rome, because it was so freaking cool. You can never take the phrase Rome wasn't built in a day for granted once you have actually seen Rome. They place is huge and has all this history. It's hard to believe people still live there, but they do because I suppose somebody has to. I saw lots of cool stuff in Rome such as The Vatican, The Coloseaum, The Trevi Fountain, The Four Rivers Fountain, The Spanish Steps and several other things that I don't know the names of. If anyone ever gets a chance to see Rome take it. You will not be disapointed, I'll explain about it more when I get home and have a rest, because I havn't gotten alot of rest and have been on my feet practically all the trip.
So, I will be home soon. I'm just going to take a short island cruise, and then I will be home to share all the photos I got. I love you all, and the time from this post is the time in Athens. Goodbye to mom and the girls, and my various readers. We will not be able to make any further contact with you after this post. I hope that one of you reads it.
Lots of Love,
Writer

1 day till Italy and Greece.

I just finished the Lorna Wing essay. It was painful and full of stress.
Tomorrow is when I’ll be leaving for Italy. I’m kind of nervous because I’ve never been to another continent before. I know I’m going to have good people with me (i.e. my dad, my Latin Teacher) but I’m still kind of nervous. My basic idea is that this is going to be like my trip to America last year, only more moving, no sisters and it’s in Europe. I know that this is going to be one of the best memories of this purgatory called High School, but the anticipation is killing me.
Random Blog Thing!!!!!

You Are a Natural Flirt

Believe it or not, you're a really effective flirt.
And you're so good, you hardly notice that you're flirting.
Your attitude and confidence make you a natural flirt.
And the fact that you don't know it is just that more attractive!

I think I may be addicted to these.

You Are 40% Addicted to Blogthings

Okay, so you know how to take and post a Blogthing.
But you're no addict. (Hey, this quiz *proves* it!)
For you, Blogthings is more of a healthy habit.
At least, that's what you tell yourself!

I don’t know about that answer.

Your Brain's Pattern

Your mind is a multi dimensional wonderland, with many layers.
You're the type that always has multiple streams of though going.
And you can keep these thoughts going at any time.
You're very likely to be engaged in deep thought - and deep conversation.

Slow and Steady

Your friends see you as painstaking and fussy.
They see you as very cautious, extremely careful, a slow and steady plodder.
It'd really surprise them if you ever did something impulsively or on the spur of the moment.
They expect you to examine everything carefully from every angle and then usually decide against it.

I’d like my friends to run this one by me.
There having difficulties with the blog today. I find it frustrating because I want to post this. Stupid human technology.
I hate school. I hate it a lot. I have to do a lot of writing that I don’t like and I’m starting to realize I can get all the important information that I actually want to know from the public library. What I really want is to live in a place were I have pure artistic freedom, in a place far away from civilization were I can write and make pictures and things. Somewhere in North Ontario by the side of a lake.
I guess I’d like a wife or something like that. I’m not sure I’d actually want to marry her, just live together. My mom says that I shouldn’t worry about that, because I should be working on having friends, but I don’t know. I want to know what having a girlfriend is like. Preferably a girlfreind who likes RPG’s, since I don’t really want to be around people except for possibly a girlfreind.
(Sigh), Life can be hard for one who is an Aspie.
So anyways, I won't be getting back to you guys, so be cool and excellent and don't break anything while I'm gone.
Leaving On A Jet Plane, by Chantel Kreviazuk
"I'm ... I'm
...All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go
I'm standin' here outside your door
I hate to wake you up to say goodbye

But the dawn is breakin', it's early morn
The taxi's waitin', he's blowin' his horn
Already I'm so lonesome I could die

So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll wait for me
Hold me like you'll never let me go'
Cause I'm leaving on a jet plane
I don't know when I'll be back again
Oh, babe, I hate to go

I'm ...
There's so many times I've let you down
So many times I've played around
I'll tell you now, they don't mean a thing

Every place I go, I think of you
Every song I sing, I sing for you
When I come back I'll wear your wedding ring

So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll wait for me
Hold me like you'll never let me go'

Cause I'm leaving on a jet plane
I don't know when I'll be back again
Oh, babe, I hate to go

Now the time has come to leave you
One more time, oh, let me kiss you
And close your eyes and I'll be on my way

Dream about the days to come
When I won't have to leave alone
About the times that I won't have to say

...Oh, kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll wait for me
Hold me like you'll never let me go'

Cause I'm leaving on a jet plane
I don't know when I'll be back again
Oh, babe, I hate to go

And I'm leaving on a jet plane
I don't know when I'll be back again
Oh, babe, I hate to go

But I'm leaving on a jet plane
(Ah ah ah ah)
Leaving on a jet plane
(Ah ah ah ah)
Leaving on a jet plane
(Ah ah ah ah)
Leaving on a jet plane
(Ah ah ah ah)
Leaving on a jet plane
(Ah ah ah ah)
Leaving on a jet plane
(Ah ah ah ah)
Leaving on a jet plane
(Ah ah ah ah)
Leaving on a jet plane
(Ah ah ah ah)

You're a complex creature, and you're guilty of complicating things for fun.

3 days till Italy & Greece

If I was a good boy who did my homework, I would not be commenting on my blog. I am doing my homework I suppose, I just find it very difficult at the moment.
I’m suppose to be writing an informal essay on how a psychologist, sociologist or anthropologist has effected my life. I’m doing Lorna Wing, the psychiatrist who named Asperger’s syndrome and wrote a very important paper on the subject. I can’t seem to actually do it, and it’s due in three days, two really since my mom think’s I should spend Tuesday getting all emotionally prepared to go to Europe. I think I will get it done once I actually get around to concentrating.
I am reaching a problem with V for Vendetta. For one thing my parents are unlikely to take me and it is an R rating. I don’t think I have the resources or knowledge to fake my age to get into see it. I’ll need to think of a plan to get in.
Going to work on my essay know.

5 days till Italy & Greece

I should be working on a short story for English. It should be very easy, but I just can’t seem to get the first bit down. I figure that I can do it in a snap once I get the first bit down. Also, I have to finish Frankenstein and write an article about how a famous anthropologist or sociologist or psychologist has changed my life (I’m doing Dr. Lorna Wing, who came up with the term Asperger’s Syndrome). I hope that I have writing energy left for Europe.
Also, my last post for the large amount of tests featured below was that I would be gone in nine days, at the time that was wrong. I got the information from my EA and she probably didn’t include weekends. She does that sometimes.
There was an old woman from Denmark
Who raised a grey bipedal Aardvark
It met up with a man
A Canadian named Dan
And made him a comic book landmark
There was an alchemist named Clark
Who hade a great fear of the Dark
He made a sunrod
But the rod was a fraud
And could barely give of a small spark
Those are some limricks I put together because I am bored.
Anyway, looking forward to Italy and Greece. Expect lots of pictures.
