...And Finally, You Know Your In America When...

This is Delila's favorite picture.

A better picture of me

This is a better picture of myself, only I'm not wereing my Roswell or Chimp Guevara T-shirt. Since I am adding pictures of myself, you shall see me in those T-shirts and any other ones that I like.
Note the Live Long and Prosper Signs.

The White Squirrel of the Grand Canyon

These are pictures of the White Squirrel, which live on this side of the canyon. The picture above this bit shows a white squirrel being feed by a human, that shouldn't happen and it makes me feel bad because the sign said that it the animals shouldn't be given food.

The Grand Canyon

These are the pictures taken of the Grand Canyon. I don't know what else to put here. Wait, the guy in the corner of one picture I believe is from a Japanese family we saw.

Some Rocks with Pictures on them

These are a bunch of rocks that we saw that have pictures that the First Nations people who used to live around the area drew when they got bored or something.

The Ruins of some First Nations guys who are believed to be ansestors of the Hopi

This was my favorite part of the Petrified Forest because I like ancient civilizations and all that jazz.

The thing at the top is a Kiva, and it is believed that the people who lived there used it for rituals and such. I don't know how.

The Painted Desert

This is a picture of a part of the Petrified Forest National Park called the Painted Desert, because it looks painted. I thought that I'd tell you that I bugged my sister Dilila into taking these pictures and most of the good ones were taken by my parents.

A Section Deveoted to Ralf

This is Ralf, the mascot at the Roswell Museum. Since I have an imaginary freind named Ralph, my familiy found this inffinatly amusing.
NOTE: My mom said that I should stop calling Ralph and Imaginary Freind because it sounds stupid or something. I have decided to go with Pooka, because that was what Harvey was in the movie Harvey.

Stuff at the UFO Museum

The Picture at the top is a replica of an Aztec stone carving that some believe is of a space traveller. It's not the best, but in my defence I didn't take these.

The picture in the middle is of an alien in stasis, if you look real close you can see it.

And the last is a movie prop from the movie Roswell that they donated to the Museum.

Me at the Roswell Crash Site

This is a picture of me at the UFO crash site. We saw this on the way out of Roswell and decided to go get a better look, but some men in black suits aprehended us and made us leave.
(That didn't really happen)

You go Girl!!!!!!!

This is a poem I found on Dan's blog. Since I am trying to build up more Aspie themes to my blog I have decided to link to it. It is called Who is Disabled.

I miss my sister (Delila)

Okay, Awhile back I told everybody about my sister Delila. Her name isn’t really Delila, she just uses that as an alias. Well, she’s gone over to England because of this big girl guide happening and I miss her. It’s strange because she isn’t usually very nice to me and she’s always picking fights with us like she’s on a reality TV show or something and she’s overly protective of me which gets on my nerves and such, but I still miss her and I hope she’s okay. That is all I have to say about that.

My Vacation in America

Well, I am finally back home from the United States of America. It was a good trip and America is a nice place. I wouldn’t want to live there, because Americans don’t have Universal Health Care and Doctor Who.
During my vacation, I worked on making a diary of it. I am going to some it all up in this post.
Major Stops
  • Roswell Known for its famous UFO crash in July 1947, Roswell is a hotbed for Ufologists and conspiracy nuts like me. We ate at a Red Lobster and went to see the International UFO Museum in Roswell. It’s not a really big museum and looks like they converted an old movie theatre out of it, but it was a really cool place and my sister took a few pictures on her digital camera, so you can see what they have.
My favourite part was the Library. The have a collection of books about all kinds of UFO related subjects. I also noticed a small sculpture that was donated by a Robert A. Taylor. I recognized the name, because he is the guy who does this day in alternate history. I bought a T-shirt at the gift shop.
  • Route 66 The historic highway that connected the East and West coast. We didn’t make any real stops, but we did see a lot of merchandise. We also passed a roadside attraction that boasted the longest map of route 66.
  • The Petrified Forest A long time ago in the Triassic Period, a volcano went off somewhere in what would become the southwestern United States, and all the wood around this volcano got petrified. Okay, I’m not good at describing all this fossilization stuff, but they’ve got a movie to do that. Anyway, you can see all kinds of fossilized trees lying around. There is also an abundance of wildlife in the Petrified Forest, but we didn’t see much of it. My favourite part was the ruins from some people who used to live there. It is believed that they are ancestors of the Hopi and Navaho peoples who moved out because of a drought. It was a good part of the vacation and I got an arrowhead, collection of photos and a book on the history of the Hopi people.
  • The Cabin in Flagstaff, Arizona My favourite part of the trip, because I was able to have my own bed. We stayed for three days and I was hope to come back again because of all the shopping. Flagstaff is apparently a big New Age place. I noticed an advertisement from a woman who claimed to help advance your ESP. I can’t remember her name, but it was made up off symbols that were not from our alphabet.
We also saw a big used book store were I acquired a Beatles CD (sort of a greatest hits collection) and a D&D guide (Dungeon Masters Guide).
  • Wolf Creek Pass Is were the continental divide that separates California and the rest of North America. I was content to not go out and stay in the car, but NO. My dad decided that we should all get out of the car and go for a walk, which I don’t mind at first. But then we end up walking thru a swamp and my feet are wet and then we have to make a great detour across some grass and it was hot. When we got back to the car thou, Dad saw some dirt road that lead up to some peak and I found it far to quite so I went back into the car and listened to Queen.
    I don’t like nature.
Also, I know a song about Wolf Creek Pass, to go to the lyrics click Wolf Creek Pass.
  • The Branding Iron Restaurant There is quite a good story behind this one, see my parents and sisters and I were all looking for a good restaurant, so we went into this Branding Iron Restaurant. When we got there, I noticed that they had a sign hanging over the counter saying "We don’t call 911," under it was a pistol. Naturally, I was curious so I asked Mom about the sign. Mom said I shouldn’t worry about it, but my curiosity was overwhelming and when the waitress came I asked her about the sign and the gun.
She looked at me with a straight face and said "Because if it’s to hot we shoot you,".
Then mom was all like "Oh, no. He’s going to have an outburst," and I was all like "Oh, no, If I make a wrong move they’ll shoot me. Better not have an outburst." So I told her I’d have mild.
Eventually, I saw the practical use for the gun. My dessert was pre-heated so I found it oddly hot.
  • Mom’s friend’s House This is why we went. See, every two years. My mom and her friends from College go to one of their houses and stay for a weekend. It was a good time and I saw the premier for the new season of Stargate SG-1. They got Ben Browder, who played John Criton in Farscape to play the new leader of SG-1 and Coronel O’Neil is only a recurring character know. I’m not sure about how this is all going to go down with Ben Browder being the new leader of SG-1, but I hope that it goes well and that this new character isn’t to similar to Chriton from Farscape.
Mainly I just relaxed. I watched two movies (Napoleon Dynamite and Spirited Away) and I went to see a place called the Garden of the Gods that filled me with all the natural wonder that Dad’s wilderness trip didn’t. We also went swimming and were amazed that deer live in there backyards. That is mainly what happened.

Well, that was what happened. I did try to reread American Gods by Neil Gaiman, but I lost interest. You may know comment on my blog.

My Second Blog Break

If you are reading this I am on the road or am about to be getting onto the road to Colorado Springs. I will not be able to make any more posts for an indefinite period of time. It is hard for me to do this, because I have gotten used to making posts on my blog. You can expect me to tell you how my trip went at the soonest convenience. Please do not leave comments on this post.
For Steph: You may wonder why I call this my second Blog break. During Late January I had to do some exams and I decided that I would take a break from blogging. Just thought you might be curious.

American Pie Parodies

You may have noticed that there is a hell of a lot of parodies of Don McLean’s American Pie. This post is to find a whole lot of these parodies and make a list. You can judge the best parodies as you wish.

Okay, there are much more. But I’m not looking for them.

The World According To Ralph: Tabloids and The Creation of the Big Ol' Caravan to Colorado

Hello you crazy homo sappiens, you.
First of, I want to talk about an article from an old copy of that great article from your journalists in the World Weekly News.
Well, two really.
Okay, Three.
First, they say that they have figured out how to make dogs that can smell non-Americans because of the special American gene. I find this racist, which is a problem almost verging on being humorous if humans’ didn’t take this so seriously. Anyway, I’d like to say that the American people have no similar genetic markings making them different from the rest of the human population. Except for the Supersoldiers, but they are all contained in the secret bases on [CENSORED]
As I said, there on [CENSORED]
There on [CENSORED]
[CENSORED]
I’m sorry, know to get [CENSORED]
Alright, I will [CENSORED] stop trying to give away the location of the Supersoldiers.
Second, there was an article about how a giant cockroach had came into some woman’s apartment and ate some peas. This woman had a gun handy, and was able to kill the cockroach it could make an attack on her child. I would like to say that I have met the Giant Subterranean Cockroaches and they are a peace loving people and vegetarians.
Last, There was a bit about a cat woman living in a Hillbilly community with a Cat Lady with a hundred cats. This is quite possible because of the genetic experiments made by rouge American geneticists and we have encountered human/cat hybrids. This one lacks the means to speak, but that is probably because she is predominately human and therefore not as advanced as the predominately cat hybrids and as anyone knows, cats are far superior to humans.
And know, the main bit. We have been preparing for the great journey to Colorado. Since Writer has a vast amount of Imaginary Friends we are all coming along. To do this however, we need quite a lot of vehicles. Naous has been able to retrofit a few school buses and some of the other guys have gotten cars. Hmm, this isn’t that long. I’ll add the tabloid bit to the title.
In conclusion, Remember in National Treasure Were they figured out the thing by looking at the Benjamin Franklin Letters and used Numbers.
33, 43, 6, 27, 75, 58, 8, 1, 23, 13, 2, 39, 1, 7, 9, 4, 3, 27, 6, 1, 8, 7, 16, 9, 44, 6, 3, 16, 31, 1, 1, 1, 2, 1, 16, 1, 1, 8, 1, 111, 18, 1, 61, 15, 38, 1, 2, 428, 19, 1, 1, 6, 26, 5, 27
Bye and may your summers be filled with Smores Ice Cream and Red Balloons.

Bohemian Rhapsody, Typewriter Font, A Damn Big Concert, Lonliness and Boredom

Well, I haven’t blogged in quite some time, so I will make a blog for today. First off, I went shopping with my mom and sister. We got some stuff for my sister’s trip to England and I was able to get myself a new CD for the upcoming trip to Colorado. The CD I got was Queen’s , A Night At The Opera.
You may notice that I am using a different font. I thought I would try it out for today. If I like it, it will stay.
Well, Anyone see Live 8 yesterday. I saw bits of it and I thought it was pretty good. I signed my name up on the list at their web site to pressure the world leaders into sending some of the Gross National Product to developing African countries.
I am worried about how bored I will be once the hype of the Colorado trip. I am considering getting a job, which I think would be a good idea, and I hope that I can get my short story published. I don’t know exactly how much money I can stand to make with it, but I think it could be enough to by one D&D book.
Recently I have been feeling rather lonely since Ruric has moved away. It’s like I have no more friends in town. My parents said that Loncrow can come over sometime and I think that will be pretty cool.
Damn this Canadian Launchcast. Wait, Sorry it was just acting funny. The Yahoo people have limited me to the Canadian launchcast. It’s very annoying.
